So after a strange cycle last month I finally ovulated on day 17. Period was 2 days late, arriving on CD28. Things haven't gotten any less strange.
Normal for me is a 26 day cycle, 11 day LP, 6 day period. First 2 days, I'm "freshening up" every 6 hours. 3 and 4, regular, last 2 days are light and spotty. Temperature usually drops right away to pre-o level of 97.18 or thereabouts.
This month I was 2 days late then when she did show up she was really light. Like what day 4 would normally look like. By my actual day 4, AF made her exit completely.
The really odd thing has been my BBT. It's stayed high, around 97.68. I'm on CD6 now of my new cycle. Just for the heck of it I took an HPT, and it was negative.
Breasts don't feel tender but I'm quite fatigued and have had a 3 day headache. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
Re: BBT high after period
Keep temping and see what happens. Sometimes my temps will drop when AF starts and then go back up until a day or two after AF leaves. It's not really anything to worry about.
Also, it is cold & flu season. That could explain the headache and higher temp. Just wait and see what happens!

Since day 4 is typically "regular" flow, I assume that means at some point during that last period you bled enough to fill a tampon or pad? That means it was your period, even if the flow was different.
So, long story short: I think that was your period, right on time, and you're now WTO.

It was late for me. Normally I have a 26 day cycle with an O around 15. Flow was never heavy enough to fill anything, I changed just out of keeping myself clean.
You're now on CD 6 and WTO.

It's important to also consider the change in environment as the seasons change. Adding an additional layer to bedding can change a lot. Adjusting the thermostat. So many things go into it. There is no normal.
Review everything cycle by cycle. I have been charting for a decade as my sole birth control and TTC method. Sure, patterns happen. I know what my typical pattern is, but I never put any weight into what happened last month because this month won't necessarily be the same.
Seeing your handle I couldn't resist
Also, looks like you were worried for nothing last cycle when you said you thought your weren't going to ovulate.
And to reiteriate, your period wasn't two days late. It was actually a day early because you had a 10 day LP. It seems you are not understanding this point though? Your period is not late until you have gone past your normal LP. Going past your normal total cycle length is irrelevant.

I've gotten some rude responses on here but this just runs right away with it. I'm fishing for NOTHING other than trying to get some insights on why I'm having a sudden change. Maybe it's normal for you but it's NOT for me.
@iceandsnowflakes29 was not rude. She merely stated she thought it was a fishing post. and she even added a winky face to the end. I think you're being a bit oversensitive.

I agree with @iceandsnowflakes29 that it sounds like you're asking us if you could have bled lightly for four days and still ended up pregnant. There's no need to get all worried about your temps being a little different this cycle. As PPs stated, it could be environmental factors or nothing at all. Your temps are not going to be exactly the same month after month.

Quote box thing not working..
To be totally honest, I had a really wonky cycle this time around. My period was even strange. I convinced myself today, at CD 9 that maybe! But no. BFN I didn't take my own advice (that I shared up there ^ somewhere) and it did me no good. I just wasted a perfectly good HPT because I put too much faith in the "norm". We all want that BFP and we all convince ourselves from time to time that the day has arrived. However, around here everyone is ready to bring the others back to to reality. Not out of spite, or being rude. Simply because in the grande scheme of life, an honest 'friend' is far more valuable than the alternative. Reality is a pill that is hard to swallow. Sometimes having someone force feed it to you is the best way to a healthy outcome.

For what it's worth, though my experience has no bearing on your own, I'm having the same thing go on that you are this cycle. Or, I was at least till I finally stopped spotting and my period was really, truly over. Here is my chart and you'll see that my temps during my period were considerably higher than they have been since. They were all temps that were above the cover-line for my last cycle so when my period started my temps didn't actually go down to the cover-line for AF, much less below it. My temps normally plummet down to the cover-line (or below) on CD1 for me so this is new. I'm not really concerned, but it's definitely new.

I also, coincidentally, like you also had a super light period. I never filled a single pad or tampon. But hey, periods are weird. Sometimes they're heavy and sometimes they're blessedly light.
Basically, the TL;DR here is that even though what is going on isn't normal for you, it's within the realm of normal. It isn't anything to be concerned about. Sometimes cycles are just a little different for no apparent reason, and that's OK.

Also I have to agree with PPs that @iceandsnowflakes29 was not being rude, but your response was a little harsh.
Also, no one was rude. Before you lash out at this community, you should read up on the phases of your cycle and get an understanding of how your hormones effect your temperature during each.
