WAYDTGKU: temps, PNV, green tea, sabotaging myself (see rant)
R/R/CS: I am so mad at myself. I don't sleep well and have a cold, so on Mon and Tues nights I took a Benadryl. I wasn't even thinking of the effect it can have on CM (and we BD'd Tues, too so now I'm afraid I ruined that one!). I know only time will tell, but someone talk me down here....
GTKY: I had a great childhood with little I would change, except I wish my parents had taught me how to better manage money. It was a shock going into the real world.
@JamieK1882 If it makes you feel any better, i was so dry 2 out of 3 if my prime FW days. If I'm not KU this cycle, I'm going to look for ways to increase fertile CM.
Month/cycle: 3/3
CD: 16
WAYDTGKFU: temping, CM, CP, OPKs
R/R/CS: Non-ttc rave- I'm going to get my hair done today!! I haven't had a professional color in yearsssss. So I decided to splurge and go all out. I'm going in for a trim (probably adding some layers) and telling her to do what she thinks looks best. I found a style I really like that I'm going to mention. Any hair ladies heard of Balayage? Kind of a natural ombré?
GTKY: ugh, so so many things. My parents divorced when I was 14 and both of them made the classic divorce mistakes. Fought in front of my brother and me, dad found a new family, so so many things. But I think it's made me a stronger person, and I'm hoping that I'm a better mom for it.
R/R/CS: Rant - I still have a cold. Rave - my temp went back to normal today!!!! I'll have to mark the last two days as fever temps or I have no hope of CH but whatever, I don't care. As long as my temps stay normal through a clear O temp shift I will be ecstatic! Second rave - my DH is a serious germaphobe and always rejects me when I'm sick. But we've had sex the last two days and he even kissed me!
GTKY: if you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? I would love to have learned a second language, and been taught how to keep a clean and tidy house. My poor DH had to teach me to see the mess when we moved in together years ago and it's still a struggle. I am much-improved and whenever we go back to my parents house he always says, "Man, I need to give you credit. You've come a long way." and he means it sincerely. My parents house is a hole, bless their messy, filthy hearts.
@jparli I love balayage! Very pretty. @MrsDho11 As to your question yesterday regarding how much data FF has, I have five complete temped cycles from the recent past: 1 anov, 3 9-day LP, 1 13-day LP. Until last cycle (13-day) it gave me a 19 dpo test date. Now it gives me 11 dpo to test. I suspect it's because 9-day is "short" but my average now is 10 (even if the median remains 9) so I guess it's going with that.
@jparli I used the same picture (your top one) when I got my hair done a few months ago! I didn't do exactly a bayalage, mine is more highlights that blend at my roots if that makes sense, but I love it!!

WAYDTGKU: AF is almost gone!
R/R/CS: I kind of had a rough day yesterday. Like I almost cried in my boss's office. I think I'm just overwhelmed with several things DH and I have going on right now (TTC being one), and work is stressful, too. Here's hoping for a better day today! It's almost Friday, so it can't be all bad, right?!
GTKY: My parents were and still are wonderful, but I wish they would have taught me more about real-world things, like how to do taxes, how insurance works, how to call to schedule a dentist appointment, etc. I've had to learn most of those normal "adulting" things as I need them.

GTKY: if you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? I wish my parents would have pushed me more. DH was raised to be great and I wish my parents had more of that mentality. I feel like I could have done more academically if I had been pushed more. Nonetheless I'm still very happy with my education and career.

WAYSTGKU: PNVs, Temping, OPKs, sex, going to try EPO this month
R/R/CS: I never thought I'd be soo excited to see CD1, the wait after my MC seemed forever. I hated not knowing what my body was doing/taking a cycle off. So glad to be able to participate in WTO and eventually TWW boards again!
GTKY: if you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? I wished I was in gymnastics and other "cool" girls clubs. I grew up in a small town and we didn't have any thing like that.
*TW* - Possibly..previous pregnancy (6 years ago) mentioned
@jparli and @JamieK1882 We used Preseed with our son. After several months/cycles of trying, the first time we tried Preseed we scored! Same thing happened with SIL..twice. If you haven't tried that, I do recommend it. It's actually on my grocery list for tomorrow. Obviously, its not magical and there is no guarantee, but I do recommend it. Won't hurt!

WAYSTGKU: Everything
R/R/CS: Nothing really directly related to TTC from the technical side, but I will say I am sooooo tired of hearing, "It will happen when it happens, "When its meant to be...". I understand people mean well and that some individuals have never had to try, let alone get to know their bodies and realize that there is way more than just a lot of sex involved and its just not on everyone's agenda to have it every dang day. I understand people just don't know what to say. However, I wish they would stop asking about TTC until they really want to know about it or have something appropriate to say. OR how about just "Well! Good luck!" Also, everyone is like, "At least its fun to try!" HA HA HA No, sex WAS fun. Now its a science fair project while running a race to a finish line 582735075 times a month because you have stuff to get up and do.. Sorry. That paragraph looks like garbage. Oh well. Rants aren't supposed to sound eloquent.
GTKY: If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? I actually don't have anything. I wish my father would have been more active in my life. I mean, don't get me wrong he was/is a good dad. He was always there and supportive. My parents are still together. 45 years? I just never had that sweet father/ daughter relationship. Ya know, hugs and kisses, dates, that sort of thing? All is well though!
R/R/CS: I'm getting sick, I feel it coming. All the germs these little kids bring to work. I don't wanna get sick!
GTKY: if you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? I don't think I'd change anything, my parents are great. I do I wish I'd been allowed to pursue more interests. I started dancing when I was 13, after asking to take classes since I was 6. I ended up being pretty good, so I wonder how it would of gone if I started when I wanted to.
@jparliI love it. So pretty. @dogmomwantinghuman Yay!!!!!!! So glad you're getting back to "normal." I totally relate with the joy of CD 1 after a loss. Welcome back. @pretzel2plus1 I hope today is a better day.
Month/Cycle: 1/1

WAYDTGKU: All the things.
R/R/CS: I had EWCM yesterday - like the best EWCM I've ever had!! Begged DH to HIO even though he hadn't slept well the night before and was really stressed trying to fix our dryer. I was so proud of him for performing like a champ.
GTKY: I'd change a lot. I was lucky in some ways, and I am at peace with my childhood for the most part. However, I am pretty much the adult in my family and always have been, which is rough. It's a complicated and long series of stories, but my parents are pretty effed up and I didn't really get "raised" as much as I raised myself.
@JamieK1882 real life is so expensive! @jparli I really like bayalage, good luck and enjoy treating yo'self! @Paturkey, get it! My DH is the same way, so I know that can be quite the accomplishment @pretzel2plus1 I hope today is a better day for you! @jmr1515 my parents never pushed me either, and I was such a good little runner in elementary. I wish they would have made me stick with track. @dogmomwantinghuman welcome back to WTO and good luck!! @mchrisgarcia YES to your rant. I am getting so, so sick of hearing about how I need to just relax and let it happen. It's too fucking late for that. I know too much now, and just "letting it happen" would almost definitely stress me more than charting and timing. @itsmehere1212 I was constantly sick when I worked at a daycare, and had one year olds sneezing in my face all day. The one thing they're good at sharing.. FX your body fights it off!
Month/Cycle: 4/4
CD: 10
WAYDTGKU: Temp, CM/CP, PNV, HIO
R/R/CS: None thus far, but I've only been up about thirty minutes, so..
GTKY: My parents are amazing, but they didn't teach me shit about being an adult, and now I've just been making stuff up through adulthood. To the point where I'm still having to teach myself to keep a clean house, save money, etc. And the cooking. I'm such a bad cook.
TTGP February Sig Challenge- Valentine's Day Fail:
R/R/CS: I'm new to temping, and I am sleeping so horribly. I normally sleep so well, but it's almost like when you have an early morning flight that you're afraid you're going to sleep through! I just keep waking up through the night. Ah well. I suppose I'll adjust!
GTKY: if you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? Not much, I had a wonderful upbringing. I do wish it had been more okay to talk openly and candidly about your feelings. That has been something I've had to work on as an adult!
WAYDTGKU: pnv's, fertility blend tea, diet/exercise, opks, attempting to HIO EOD this cycle, BBT
R/R/CS: Have to fast for bloodwork for my work physical and my appointment isn't for another 3.5 hours. I feel bad for anyone who crosses my hANgry self this morning lol
GTKY: if you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be?
I have to agree with @JamieK1882 - my parents were terrible at managing money and so was I. I've gotten better but not after getting into serious credit card debt in my 20's.
@jparli I have had Balylage done before. Loved the way it came out! I hope you love your new hair when it's all done.
I'm enjoying reading this morning's GTKY posts. I was worried when I posted that question it was too negative, but it's interesting hearing from everyone!
R/R/CS: Totally not TTC related so apologies but our area got hit with maybe an inch of snow last night. Epic, epic disaster. I had to pick DH up because he had to abandon his car (in a legal spot, unlike the hundreds of other cars left on the side of the road) and it took me over three hours to make a round trip of 15 miles max. I watched metro buses slide towards me, ambulances not make it up hills and just general craziness. The roads were fine in our neighborhood so I didn't think twice when he called. Boy, was I wrong. Mind-blowingly furious at the response from local towns/cities. I knew this snow was coming...apparently they didn't! Now I'm really getting worried for how the area will handle tomorrow's storm!
GTKY: if you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? I think my parents were a little too overprotective. I know they meant well, and I'm also not the type to push boundaries, but I really didn't experience any of the mistakes or learning opportunities that one might have in high school. I was head down, study and do well in school, which has served me well in the long run, but I can't help but think that I missed out on a little bit growing up.
R/R/CS: I think they will have to re-do one of my eyes, it seems the surgery didn't correct it well enough I'll find out in my one-week follow-up today, and I hope if they have to laser it again that they do it within the next 3 weeks because I'm not going to stop TTC for a surgery. Ugh so stressed. I paid way too much money for it to go wrong...
GTKY: if you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? I would say I wish my mother had known how to cook, and I wish she could have made us nutritious food growing up instead of what we ate. It's hard trying to learn that in your 20's when you're so busy with work and all the other life things

R/R/CS: DH is sick, sore throat and cough. Yuck...luckily I O between CD16-23 so we have a little time. WTO is so boring though.
GTKY: if you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? Where to start? Parents divorced when I was 6, both re-married to other people then both got divorced again...dad re-married again then divorced AGAIN. I had no concept of loyalty going into any relationship growing up. It was always "when the going gets tough, get going." Thank goodness DH and his family have shown me what it is like to work for a relationship and how rewarding it can be!
WAYSTGKU: waiting for the monitoring to show that I have large follicles. Gonal-f shots start Sunday evening and it's my first time using them. Nervous!
R/R/CS: our friends got KU up the first time they tried - all they say is "the doctor said we were really lucky!" Yeah, no shit, really really really lucky.
GTKY: if you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be?
My mom and dad both had very different styles of raising me, they balanced each other out. I hope my wife and I are even half as good at raising a kid as I think my parents were me.
So, I'm doing acupuncture and TCM while TTC. My acupuncturist wanted me to NOT chart and not stress. I agreed, because (flame me for saying this) but, after 2 kids and 5 pregnancies I can pretty much tell when I'm fertile/ ovulating. So, now I'm on CD 21 and I'm 99.9999% sure I still have not ovulated. I took my temp this morning (I know don't analyze individual temps) but, it was a typical pre -O temp (97s) based on comparing to previous charts.
PLUS I've been getting multiple LH surges. So I feel like I'm trying to ovulate.
Ok, after typing all that crap out I forgot my questions.
Does anyone ovulate and NOT get O pain? (That's usually a big indicator for me)
Can being sick delay ovulation? (I have a cold)
Can a sudden increase in breastfeeding due to teething delay or supress ovulation?
NEEDLESS say, relaxation be damned, I'm back to charting full time. Lesson learned.
Oh and another question - for those of your who check CP - what does it mean if you can't even reach it?
anyway, thanks for reading.
Edit I forgot the GTKY
I wish my mom had pushed me harder in high school and/or had sent me to private school or home schooled me.
@iceandsnowflakes29 I have had some cycles where I do not get any O cramping.
Yes, many things can delay ovulation including illness.
When you can not find your cervix it is indicitive of it being very high, soft, and open. A good indication that O is going to happen if not already. The cervix offen tends to "disappear" at that time. Becoming so soft that it seems to become one with everything else..hence the "disappearing act".
R/R/CS: DH and I just booked a 4 day weekend to Key West..leaving in 2 weeks. It will be after O so YAY for the 2WW going by a little faster with some distractions!
GTKY: if you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? I don't know that I would change anything.. maybe I would have my mom teach me how to cook! All the women in our family are fabulous cooks but my sister and I have no clue (other than following basic recipes obviously)

@OrangeEv Hoping for that long cycle O for you! FX your temps keep going up! @houseofsetters I have been temping for 7 days now! I finally am starting to sleeping normally, but I totally understand the feeling! I have to say, in general now that I am temping I feel much more calm, like I have a little control over something at least. @dogmomwantinghuman glad you are on CD1! Hope I join you soon! @mchrisgarcia I was JUST telling DH about this yesterday...it is very frustrating. I know many people who just "got pregnant, whoops!." Well they were lucky, literally!
Month/Cycle: 1/1

WAYSTGKU: BBT, PNV, drinking wine....., trying to understand CM
R/R/CS: No rants today! I am feeling good about just having started this whole process. TCOYF is SO interesting and I am enjoying reading it. I am trying to honestly think of the best way to raise my future children to understand this as well! It makes you understand the female body so much more! I can't wait to see my first chart come together, so come on CD1!
GTKY: if you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? NOTHING, my mom raised me without my father, who cheated and married the woman he cheated with. She raised me to be a strong independent woman and I am forever grateful for that.

GTKY: if you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? I don't have a lot of complaints about my parents/how they raised me. If I were to ask my Husband this question, he would say he wished they taught me more about finances. While I no longer have any credit card debt, I used to think that as long as you paid the minimum payment on the credit card, you wouldn't be charged interest!

@iceandsnowflakes29 I wanted to add, that in my case, I have a tilted cervix. Mine does not move up and down, per say, but forward and back. It makes it very difficult for me to determine CP. I typically just wait until I notice it has disappeared and log that. I can absolutely tell by that alone that O is here and then it is confirmed. I recommend to everyone who has trouble deciphering CP to really just monitor for when you can't find it as my OB recommended years ago when TTC #1.
WAYSTGKU: Debating OPKs but from everything I read here they seem like a source of frustration. All the other things.
R/R/CS: open circle and elevated temp on my chart today. Also forgot to track CM for the past 2 days - get it together, self!
GTKY - I'd have to think about this one, which is really my answer. Awesome parents who just celebrated 42 years and genuinely enjoy each other's company, 2 big brothers that are my best friends, always lived in nice family friendly areas and did things as a family. There was just the right mix of encouragement and tough love. I hope to emulate my childhood for my LO and future child.
Edited because TB insists on eating part of my response regularly.
@iceandsnowflakes29, first I just want to say I can't wait to read the books you recommended on the book post. I love fantasy/sci-fi! Also, to answer your questions, sounds like your cervix is pretty high which indicates you may be super fertile right now/about to ovulate. And yes, increased breastfeeding can absolutely suppress or delay ovulation. I took a couple of months off of charting to decrease stress too. It worked, until I wanted to know when I ovulated and what our timing was!
@iceandsnowflakes29 going to start with Discovery of Witches (i had the first book on my kindle but hadn't read it yet) and am putting the rest on my wish list this afternoon!
WAYSTGKU: Just temping at this point, I'm positive I already O'd but FF and I are having a disagreement.
R/R/CS: Waiting. I think I'm 3DPO but FF wants me to get one more high temp and then it will give me CHs for CD17. But I had absolutely no CM that day so I can't imagine it was O day. I really think it was CD16. But I'll be hanging here for at least one more day to see what happens.
And thanks to everyone for the well wishes about the house yesterday. We are still waiting to hear back on whether our offer was accepted, but today was the deadline so we should know something at some point. More waiting...
GTKY: if you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? This is a tough one because my parents are the best. I guess I would have liked to have been more educated about healthy eating habits. That would have come in handy and maybe I wouldn't have struggled with my weight so much as an adult.
DS: June 2008 Married: July 2015 BFP: 5/20/16 | EDD: 1/28/17 | Twin boys born 1/16/17
R/R/CS: my last cycles chart is the BEST one I have so far. Every other one looks like the Rocky Mountains. My temp never stayed within the same range for more than 2 days. Curious when you think I might have O'd? Or what could be going on. I have pretty regular cycles and never have been on birth control. I'll include this cycles so far, but I don't have the first few because we went out of town with my parents. I have yet to see a pattern from month to month. But maybe I am looking too hard. Ugh. Edit to add: I did use OPKs twice a day up until AF and never saw a positive one. I just didn't put that on my chart because FF told me I O'd already, then changed it 3 times throughout the cycle.
GTKY: if you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? My parents are awesome, but I do wish I was raised with more affection from my mother. Don't get me wrong, she's amazing and I know she loved me. And I know it was in the way she was raised. She has a hard time expressing herself and showing effection and I feel like I do to. It makes DH upset sometimes. I'm trying to change that though.
WAYDTGKU: PNVs, BBT, OPKs, CM, CP, and trying for EOD
R/R/CS: We are going to Disney in a week today...very much looking forward to that. I haven't been since I was a teenager, which almost makes me feel silly to say...DH hasn't been since he was 6.
GTKY: I would like to teach my kids a few more "real life" skills than I was taught growing up, and I do not plan on sending them to private school (unless we move or the schools go down hill where we are). Otherwise, not a whole lot.
@Zoey1019 Thanks! I am pretty confident I O'd because all the other signs are there. FX that your CD1 comes soon! I know the feeling way too well.
@sldp123 I'm glad you decided to check out the new house before putting an offer on the other. I wanted to reply a few days back and tell you to wait and see the new house first but forgot haha.. good luck though!
@iceandsnowflakes29 I don't have answers to your questions except I don't have O pain when I O, just sore boobs.
R/R/CS: there's an obgyn that just opened near me that is centered around charting and they finally accept my insurance! I've been waiting since november! Just made my appointment!
GTKY: if you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be?
I had something really sad and negative to put here but then I saw the email about that obgyn and I can't even! My parents are good people that tried their best and made me the person I am today. So I wouldn't change anything.

R/R/CS: Ugh! The last like 8 days of temping I've been automatically waking up early, which was fine (though I wanted to move temp time later and couldn't). When I wake up before my alarm though, I'll turn it off so it doesn't wake up DH and turn it back on again after the alarm time. Except, oh yeah, didn't turn it back on yesterday! So thankfully I temped an hour and a half early when I got up to pee because then I woke up an hour and a half late! Though I'm someone who the time matters more than amount of sleep, and the temp is crap! Also, I woke up too late to go to the pool in time to get DH back the car for so he can drive to work, so no swim! *pout*. I don't feel well though, so I can only assume I overslept because I finally caught DH's illness.
GTKY: Overall, I'm really happy with my childhood, though I wish me parents hadn't been so competitive about me or pushed me to be such a perfectionist about everything.

@tamalahoops I am obsessed with The Office and I love your avatar and GIF! I wish that show was never cancelled! Have you watched that new show on NBC called Superstore? I believe it is by some of the same people as The Office? I only watched the 1st episode but have been recording the others to catch up on soon. Nothing will ever compare to The Office, though!

@dogmomwantinghuman yay for CD1 – hope WTO goes fast for you
and you are back in the TWW soon.
@kirby1220 I’m guessing you live somewhere that you don’t
normally get a lot of snow. Where we are, it always snows in the winter, and my
commute was still a nightmare last night after getting a dusting to an inch of
snow, so I feel your pain. Hopefully they are wrong about these forecasts for
the weekend.
@LizKate1213 Fx your DH is better in time for FW. We dealt
with sickness after sickness last month and missed FW because of it, so
frustrating.
@teamginger13 so jealous of your trip! Sounds like a perfect
distraction during the TWW.
@OrangeEv Thank you! I’m so glad we looked at the new house,
too! To think we almost didn’t… now just have to wait and hope we get it…. And literally
as I was typing that sentence our agent called and said the offer was
accepted!!

R/R/CS: eh nothing really, want AF to stop and My cycle to be not as long as my last. Also realized I only had a 9day LP, my cycle was crazy long last month so I don't know how much I should think about my LP but isn't that a bad sign?!
GTKY: if you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? Meh.... Sorry I can't do this. Lost a parent last month so this is just a little past my comfort zone right now
@jparli I love the coloring in those pictures! It's so pretty. YAY for treating yourself!

WAYSTGKU: HIO + charting + unscientific hippie things
R/R/CS: I have an interview this morning!!! Ugh, I'm really nervous. I don't think it's going to go well.
GTKY: if you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? My mom couldn't figure out the balance between being ridiculously strict and letting me do things she shouldn't have been saying Yes to. But what's done is done, so there's nothing I can do about it now.

CD: 11
WAYDTGKU: temping, CM, pnv, and sex
Month/Cycle: 6/6
CD: 5

@jparli and @JamieK1882 We used Preseed with our son. After several months/cycles of trying, the first time we tried Preseed we scored! Same thing happened with SIL..twice.

I don't think I'd change anything, my parents are great. I do I wish I'd been allowed to pursue more interests. I started dancing when I was 13, after asking to take classes since I was 6. I ended up being pretty good, so I wonder how it would of gone if I started when I wanted to.
@jparliI love it. So pretty.

@mchrisgarcia YES to your rant. I am getting so, so sick of hearing about how I need to just relax and let it happen. It's too fucking late for that. I know too much now, and just "letting it happen" would almost definitely stress me more than charting and timing.

GTKY: if you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be?

I have to agree with @JamieK1882 - my parents were terrible at managing money and so was I. I've gotten better but not after getting into serious credit card debt in my 20's.

WAYDTGKU: BBT, PNV

R/R/CS: I think they will have to re-do one of my eyes, it seems the surgery didn't correct it well enough
GTKY: if you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? I would say I wish my mother had known how to cook, and I wish she could have made us nutritious food growing up instead of what we ate. GTKY: if you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? Where to start? Parents divorced when I was 6, both re-married to other people then both got divorced again...dad re-married again then divorced AGAIN. Thank goodness DH and his family have shown me what it is like to work for a relationship and how rewarding it can be!

****qquestions in the rant****
Rant/ WTF is going on:

CD: 19

GTKY: I would like to teach my kids a few more "real life" skills than I was taught growing up, and I do not plan on sending them to private school (unless we move or the schools go down hill where we are). Otherwise, not a whole lot.
DH: 36⎹ Me: 36
@Zoey1019 Thanks!
CD: 11
WAYSTGKU: alllll the things
R/R/CS: there's an obgyn that just opened near me that is centered around charting and they finally accept my insurance! I've been waiting since november! Just made my appointment!
GTKY: if you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be?
I had something really sad and negative to put here but then I saw the email about that obgyn and I can't even! My parents are good people that tried their best and made me the person I am today. So I wouldn't change anything.

WAYDTGKU: lots of things

@jparli love the hair! I might steal that picture if I ever get up the courage to do something different with mine.
@pretzel2plus1 Hope you have a better day today!
@dogmomwantinghuman yay for CD1 – hope WTO goes fast for you and you are back in the TWW soon.
@kirby1220 I’m guessing you live somewhere that you don’t normally get a lot of snow. Where we are, it always snows in the winter, and my commute was still a nightmare last night after getting a dusting to an inch of snow, so I feel your pain. Hopefully they are wrong about these forecasts for the weekend.
@LizKate1213 Fx your DH is better in time for FW. We dealt with sickness after sickness last month and missed FW because of it, so frustrating.
@teamginger13 so jealous of your trip! Sounds like a perfect distraction during the TWW.
@OrangeEv Thank you! I’m so glad we looked at the new house, too! To think we almost didn’t… now just have to wait and hope we get it…. And literally as I was typing that sentence our agent called and said the offer was accepted!!

WAYSTGKU: pnv, bbt, lots of water, might try mucinex this cycle any thoughts on this appreciated
