2. WTO, CD 13, Cycle 3 post d&c, cycle 2 post chemical.
3. I loved dresses too, but when I was about 8 or 9 I had these neon leggings I'd wear with a oversized sweatshirt that had a Lisa Frank style tiger on it. Then I'd put two pairs of colorful slouch socks on (colors alternating and opposite on each side) and finish the whole ensemble with white keds. Yup. I was the coolest.
1. introduce yourself - I've only been on the boards for about 2-3 weeks and forgot to re-introduce myself last week. My sig tells most of my story - we got pregnant on our second cycle of trying (and still feel blessed by that) and then I started miscarrying on either Christmas eve or Christmas day (I was diagnosed with a subchorionic hemorrage 2 days earlier - which they suspect may have been the start of the MC). It is surreal to think it was less than a month ago.
2. who knows - I think I'm WTO but this is my first cycle after the MC and my temperatures are way more erratic than they were before the MC. It makes me want to buy a new thermometer (mine is just a regular one, but it was working in November so it should be fine now...). Today is CD26... Like many of us, I'm feeling impatient
3. GTKY: I don't know about my favourite outfit - but my earliest memory is of a white cardigan with coloured bobbles on it. I also loved the dresses I wore as a flower girl for each of my brother's weddings (they are 15 and 17 years older than me - mom got remarried)
---TW BFP and MC mentioned - scroll down past the Lilo and Stitch gif to avoid ---
2. Status: (WTO, TWW, Benched, etc.): Benched? I had a nurse tell me that I'm clear to start TTC as soon as my quants dropped below 5 (which they did last week). Then my doctor told me that I should wait two cycles. When I asked her more about it, she said that the research doesn't say that I need to wait, but she's seen "too many miscarriages happen back to back when people don't wait. If it were me, I would wait, just based on what I've seen..." So now I'm confused about what I want to do 3. GTKY: What was your favorite outfit when you were a kid? Flannel shirt. Boots. Apparently I thought I was a lumber jack
TTC #1 since June 2015 BFP #1 Nov 2015 ended in MC Dec 26 2015 BFP #2 Feb 2016, EDD Nov 8 2016
2. Hello! I feel like a broken record, so I don't check in every week. Technically benched, but just completed my 2nd cycle post my 2nd d&c in 4 months. Supposed to have blood work done at the end of the month, so that'll put us at missing the fertile window this month. Part of me just wants to start trying anyway, but I am pretty terrified of a third loss, so I am hoping the blood work reveals something and we can get to it in February.
3. I had a pilgrim outfit I liked to wear a lot, haha. Also pretty much anything neon. '80s kid! I loved the Limited Too store.
2.) I'm somewhere between WTO and TWW. We are in the middle of the baby dance party. My temps dropped below the cover line yesterday and today. We BD'd yesterday and 2 days before. Trying to decide whether to do it again tonight or wait till tomorrow. I'm leaning towards tonight because based on my last cycle, I have a feeling that my temp is going to spike tomorrow.
Assuming that I'm right and my temp spikes, I'm also trying to decide if I should test the day we leave for Mexico which would be DPO 10. When I got pregnant, DPO 10 was the day I got my first real symptom and I tested and got a BFP the next day. I go back and forth between wanting to be sure I'm not pregnant if I'm going to be drinking at our all-inclusive and not wanting to be sad if I get BFNs those days. I also don't want to avoid drinking just to come home to more BFNs and be depressed that I didn't fully enjoy myself. Not quite sure what to do. 3.) I loved my 1987 jean skirt and off the shoulder sweater. I also was known to wear sweatshirts with my names ironed in the front all through elementary school. I'm not sure why my mom thought that was okay, but I loved those sweatshirts!!
@BooksForMe23 I haven't heard that you are more likely to have another miscarriage after having one... I have heard that doc's tell you to wait for dating purposes. That sucks that your doc said that! I'd want research to back up that statement,
2. Satus: (WTO, TWW, Benched, etc.) TWW - I am 3dpo but can't say I am really hopeful for this cycle. We are in the process of finding donor eggs but we decided to give it a go this cycle while we are waiting... We pulled out all the stops this cycle - femara, mucinex, crazy diet, voodoo doctor with supplements, starting benadryl, claratin and pepsid today. Keeping my feet warm, eating a pineapple slice a day starting at 5dpo and am starting pregnancy visualizations tonight before bed. Anything I am missing?
3. GTKY: What was your favorite outfit when you were a kid? I can't remember a favorite outfit... maybe collecting every color of guess jeans? I do remember that I found out my mom didn't wear underwear so I decided I didn't want to either - that didn't last long!! haha!

1. Introduce yourself: Hi. New poster, been lurking for a while. I have a similar story to @catiecatp. Got KU fairly quickly after we started trying without temping or anything (still amazed, blessed, have no illusions this will automatically happen again). MMC sometime at the end of November after diagnosis of SCH at 7w2d (and saw heartbeat during that ER visit). D&C December 1st.
2. Satus: (WTO, TWW, Benched, etc.) TWW (I think). Not temping yet, going off CM/o pain so who knows. Currently CD 18, perhaps 7 dpo. BD pretty much ED or EOD this whole cycle after AF. My first AF was spot on at 27 days post D&C which was my usual cycle length so we will see how wonky my cycles end up being. Trying to resist testing until I (hopefully) miss AF. I tested early when I got previous BFP but I'm kind of terrified to know that soon again if it happens. It scares me to death that I will have another loss when I do conceieve again. I hate that I will never again experience the oblivious joy of pregnancy like I did before without having doubts in the back of my head. I'm going to start temping if/when CD 1 does show. I just wanted to be pretty chilled out whilst tranitioning back to TTC this first cycle.
I'm so sorry for everyone's losses here. I hate that this kind of community has to exist at all.
3. GTKY: What was your favorite outfit when you were a kid? My grandma made some pretty rad outfits for me during the early 90s when I was little. I wore the crap out of them. Typical bright colors, outrageous designed fabric for that time, paired with high tops.
Satus: (WTO, TWW, Benched, etc.) 12 DPO. Tested yesterday with a super squinter on a Wondfo. Got a slightly darker line today and confirmed with digi. I'm cautiously optimistic after my CP in December and hoping my OB will get me in before the regular 8 week appointment. Based off of O date I am just over three weeks. Praying for a sticky bean.
GTKY: What was your favorite outfit when you were a kid? I loved "spinning dresses" pretty much dresses that billowed out when you spinning in a circle.
@susykat77@BooksForMe23 the data shows that after one miscarriage you are no more likely to have another miscarriage than if you had never had one. 2 or more, and your risk for future miscarriages is higher. There is a recent study that showed that people are less likely to miscarry again if they are pregnant again within 3 months of their initial loss, which is interesting and goes against what some OBs will say, when they ask people to wait 3 cycles before TTC again. https://www.mytwintiers.com/news/study-no-need-to-delay-pregnancy-after-miscarriage_2015081004173839
1. Introduce yourself: DH and I have been on this journey since spring 2014. Two losses and infertility later...here we are. I am 29 and DH is 34. We've been married 9 years.
2. Status: (WTO, TWW, Benched, etc.): benched. I think my miscarriage ended Saturday, though I am still bleeding now. I have an appointment with my OB tomorrow morning for an US and to talk about next steps.
3. GTKY: What was your favorite outfit when you were a kid? I don't remember?? I have no memories from my youth (well, not very many).
me 30; DH 35 TTC since May 2014. Aug 2014 BFP, EDD April 22, 2015. Low progesterone, started suppositories. Loss at 5w6d. Nov 19, 2015 BFP at 13 dpo, EDD July 29, 2016. MMC discovered 12/29 (9+4). Natural miscarriage 1/16 (12+1). AMH results 0.42, 1.2; FSH 12.1, AFC 10, dx DOR. RPL testing results normal. Nurse recommended progesterone suppositories in TWW. Clomid + trigger + TI cycle August 2016 - failed. Thin lining. Femara + trigger + TI cycle December 2016 - failed. Thin lining. Short LP (8 days). Acupuncture & Chinese herbs starting January 2017, lengthened LP to 10 days
@AmMcc12, so exciting! FX for a sticky baby. Wish you healthy 9 months to come!
2. TWW, based on temps 4dpo. I ovulated much earlier than I used to: Cday 13 instead of day 17. I hope it is just a change in my cycle due to mc and nothing to worry about. FX for BFP this month.
3. Back in the 80s I remember wearing tights (with flowers and other crazy print) with oversized sweaters as a kid, that was cool. My mom used to dress me and my sister, so I don't remember having much of an opinion...also I was pretty Tom boyish.

@susykat77 Sounds like you have your bases covered. Maybe add a rain dance in for good measure
@AL_TwinCities@susykat77 My doctor basically told me she wasn't basing what she was saying on any research, only on what she's seen in her office. I kinda want to ignore what she's saying because of that, but then there's always the what ifs. I know if I do get pregnant right away and miscarry again, I'll end up blaming myself for it. Maybe I'll wait one cycle as a compromise? I don't know!
TTC #1 since June 2015 BFP #1 Nov 2015 ended in MC Dec 26 2015 BFP #2 Feb 2016, EDD Nov 8 2016
Intro: I am 36, DH is 37. We've been married since December 2014. I went off BCP October 2014 after being on it MANY years. I got KTFU the first time in Jan 2015 and was honestly so socked it happened so fast. We were basicall NTNP. I have a prolactinoma which was Dx in 2000 so expected that getting KU would be a significant challenge. I had a MC in week 6. Fast forward to October. After >6 months of trying without any luck & inconsistent cycle lengths, I scheduled with RE. I saw him on CD26 and he told me I hadn't O'd yet but it looked like soon. I hadn't gotten a +OPK despite many days testing so I had given up. I wasn't temping (I know, I know). I started by with OPK the next day and BAM +. I got another BFP and then another loss in week 6 the week of Thanksgiving. Induced with misoprostol & passed everything on my own. T
Status: This is my first cycle since the second loss & did 100mg clomid per RE suggestion. I'm also in the process of getting my RLP tests all complete. So far nothing. We are just waiting on karyotyping of me & DH. I'm in the dreaded TWW. CD19/5 DPO.
GTKY: All the black, combat boots and platform shoes. Industrial & synthpop music is cool.
2. Status: Just had my D&C last Thursday so now I am benched for two months. I go next week to see my RE for a check up and I am sure she will go over the timeline with me again. I've never had regular periods so it won't be waiting for normal cycles, probably just two months to let my body get back to a somewhat normal-ish state. I am hoping by early March we'll be back in the game and I can start my Clomid again.
3. GTKY: What was your favorite outfit when you were a kid? @PeggyOlsonFTW we would have been twins! Anything Lisa Frank was my favorite but I had a sweatshirt that was almost puffy painted with one of her scenes. Ah the 80's I also loved dresses and shoes that clicked; my mom would put tacs in the bottom of my shoes.
2. Satus: (WTO, TWW, Benched, etc.) TWW here. I had thought I would miss O because DH was away for work, but turned out we got a few good days in before a later O, which is exciting to at least have it be a possibility. It always makes time go faster. I had kind of a weird cycle, 9 days of EWCM and ovulation pain made me think I was Oing way earlier than expected. Guess my body is just still sorting itself out again.
3. GTKY: What was your favorite outfit when you were a kid? I had an outfit I wore almost everyday in kindergarten, jeans and a gray sweatshirt. I had serious sensory issues, so when I found something I liked, I wore it like crazy. I am still so similar, definitely have my favorite things! Though I have evolved from wearing the same outfit everyday
Status: TWW, more specifically I think I'm at 3dpo. @Chloe77 I LOL'ed ironically at you calling it the baby dance party....so for us, we were having a great time attending the party EOD and then 2 days in a row and I was hoping for a 3rd day in a row (which was also the day I think I O'd), but DH felt tired and pressured and we got in a mini fight about it. Ugh. He's so right that his body needs recovery time just as much as mine does and in the end it might help us conceive a healthier baby. But then I think about how I'll feel if I get AF in two weeks time and I'll probably obsess over the fact that by not BDing on that one day we are not pregnant. I think my DH deserves a medal for putting up with me these days.
GTKY: bright pink spandex, with frilly socks pulled up over, and can't forget the sneakers that lit up with each step (I think they were called LA lights?!). I would top it off with a themey sweatshirt from Northern Getaway - that place was the bomb. Any fellow Canadians remember Northern Getaway?!

@megsbrock I can totally relate to your situation with your DH. My husband left for another business trip today and was like "thank God I can go recover!" after my "schedule" I've been holding him too. This caused MANY fights for us when we were TTC number 1 which took over a year. Towards the end and this time we have reached an agreement that I let him know what I'd like to do in the morning and so it's more of a mutual plan as opposed to me springing it on him with little warning. I'm so envious of people who can just get pregnant with out all of this planning/effort.
@AmMcc12 Congrats! Happy and healthy 9 months to you!
2. WTO, CD15. I think I'm starting to get fertile CM, so there's lots of HIO going on here, but I don't expect to O until Thursday. We're shooting for ED the rest of the week. I wish my libido was as good as it was in college because I'm really not enjoying this.
3. GTKY: I don't know if I had one outfit in particular that I love when I was little, but I think I lived in bike shorts from 1st to 3rd grade. I even refused to wear the ugly floppy shorts for brownies so my mom dyed a pair of bike shorts brown for my uniform!
I had a dress obsession when I was in kindergarten, but one in particular I remember being particularly attached to. It was a dark blue "twirling" dress with a tape measure design all around the bottom hem. I wore that dress everywhere, including climbing trees lol.

2. Satus: (WTO, TWW, Benched, etc.) WTO, CD 16. I really hope it's happening soon.
3. GTKY: What was your favorite outfit when you were a kid? I was just thinking about this today because we went to a Disney store at the mall, haha. When The Lion King came out I had a shirt with Simba on it that I was obsessed with. I really didn't like frilly dresses and such but maybe that's mostly because my mom had terrible taste.

@AL_TwinCities - keep in mind there are some big limitations to that study. It is a retrospective study - so no random selection or random assignment to different groups. That means that they can't differentiate between people who started TTC right away and conceived within the first 3 months and those who started TTC right away but it took longer. That said, it does suggest that it doesn't necessarily hurt to TTC soon after a MC - and that a successful pregnancy can be achieved within 3-6 months.
What I love about the article you linked is that it actually cites its source - I hadn't been able to find that a few weeks ago and was feeling lazy. So tomorrow I'm off to read the primary article to get a better sense of the findings (like I always tell my students to do). Also the article is open access (https://www.bmj.com/content/341/bmj.c3967.full.pdf+html) - so everyone has free access to it!
@BooksForMe23 - it sounds like your doctor may be having a bit of an availability bias (events more easily remembered are judged as being more probable than those less easily remembered) in his/her recommendations. It may be easier for her to call to mind situations where there was a MC outcome with a conception that occurred without waiting 2 cycles than situations where there wasn't a MC outcome with a longer wait (or no MC outcome with a short wait). A non-biological example - are there more words that start with the letter 'r' or more words that have 'r' in the third position? Many people will say there are more words that start with 'r' but actually there are more words with 'r' in the third position, but they're harder to think of. But I'll put my academic brain away now - just a different perspective on what might be going on with the recommendation. That said, she knows your history and health better than we do.
@megsbrock - we had a Northern Reflections (and a Northern Traditions) - loved that store. I had a great pair of stirrup leggings from there

@ammcc12 - Congratulations! Happy & healthy 9 months to you!
@m6agua - That is hilarious that people thought you and your BF were twins.
@booksforme23 - My dr. said to wait until after my first AF to try again. I'm with @catiecatp on the availability bias. I think the idea to try after first cycle is a good compromise.
@PeggyolsonFTW - That Lisa Frank outfit sounds awesome. Is it weird that I want to wear it? (with a side pony tail of course)
Status: (WTO, TWW, Benched, etc.): WTO on CD 16. All signs pointed to O yesterday, but my temp was low this morning so... womp womp. Hoping I have a temp spike tomorrow so I can move on to the TWW! @AL_TwinCities - thanks for this - sometimes often the academic in me doesn't turn off when I go home from work and it can be a problem with some social circles (I've been "scolded" gently at my knit night several times - by women who are friendly acquaintances). @strickland8052 you and I could be cycle twins. I'm CD 16 as well and I had o pains the last 2 days and my temp has also been stuck under 97 the last 3 days. I've been traveling and temping at weird hours. I'm hoping for a temp spike tomorrow. FF is already giving me the stoplight, but H and I are gonna give it one last try. The funny thing is that I haven't even confirmed ovulation and I'm already symptom spotting. Ha! I swear my boobs are tender and got bigger overnight. I know it's basically impossible that it's true, but I'm taking it as a sign to be optimistic this month!
@catiecatp Thanks for the clarification about the studies. I've had multiple docs tell me multiple things and we decided to start trying after one cycle.
@megsbrock totally with you. My DH is feeling like a stud horse this week. He hasn't minded it too much, but we've been at my parents house the last 3 nights- it doesn't make for a romantic mood!! We did not BD last night, so I'm going to be the same if we don't get the BFP this month. Like I said, I'm feeling pretty positive this month, so FX!
@chloe97 - Hi cycle twin! *waves* FX we get a temp spike tomorrow, solid CH in a few days, a BFP in a couple of weeks, and a healthy, happy baby in 9 months!
@catiecatp THANK YOU! You said what I was trying to reason through, except in fancier words. I will be sure to quote you to DH if necessary. Although I may not start with, "But a stranger on the internet says..."

@BooksForMe23 - I'm glad I helped put thoughts into words - it can be really hard, and yet when you verbalize things well it makes for a more convincing argument
@chloe97 - what gets me is that we're all getting such varied advice from our doctors - I think it is because we (doctors included) have all these questions and want to help (or be helped) and there just isn't consistent data - or doctors are looking at different data...

1. Hey all - I've been a lurker with a rare response for a while now. I miscarried our first pregnancy at 7 weeks on Dec 18. A day after my best friend told me she was pregnant.
2. WTO. This is my first cycle post natural miscarriage. Hcg was down to 2 by 1/5 and had a wonky schedule with patchy ewcm on 1/6 and 1/7 with smileys on opks, and we gave it a shot but started my period yesterday. It's really annoying.

Thanks for all the positive thoughts everyone. At my appointment on Tuesday the doctor said it sounded like my miscarriage is finally over based on what I described and the fact that I've been generally feeling better since Saturday when I passed the sac. We didn't end up doing an US, but he told me what to look for to keep an eye out for signs of retained tissue or infection. Bleeding is starting to slow down so keeping my FX this is all completely over soon. He recommended taking a cycle off from TTC, and we are starting infertility testing next month, since last time it took us 15 months to get pregnant. Feeling as good as possible about next steps.

2. who knows - I think I'm WTO but this is my first cycle after the MC and my temperatures are way more erratic than they were before the MC.
Me: 33 & DH: 33
Married: 07/2006
TTC: 10/2015
BFP #1: 11/2015, MC 12/2015 (7 weeks)
BFP #2: 06/2016, EDD 2/15/2017
If it were me, I would wait, just based on what I've seen..." So now I'm confused about what I want to do
3. GTKY: What was your favorite outfit when you were a kid? Flannel shirt. Boots. Apparently I thought I was a lumber jack
BFP #1 Nov 2015 ended in MC Dec 26 2015
BFP #2 Feb 2016, EDD Nov 8 2016
3. I had a pilgrim outfit I liked to wear a lot, haha. Also pretty much anything neon. '80s kid! I loved the Limited Too store.
I do remember that I found out my mom didn't wear underwear so I decided I didn't want to either - that didn't last long!! haha!

DS1 -- 9/30/2016
@susykat77 @BooksForMe23 the data shows that after one miscarriage you are no more likely to have another miscarriage than if you had never had one.

@AL_TwinCities @susykat77 My doctor basically told me she wasn't basing what she was saying on any research, only on what she's seen in her office. I kinda want to ignore what she's saying because of that, but then there's always the what ifs. I know if I do get pregnant right away and miscarry again, I'll end up blaming myself for it. Maybe I'll wait one cycle as a compromise? I don't know!

Ah the 80's

2)WTO after a MMC
3) I had this ridiculous denim jumper that had a panda on the front, holding a red balloon. I used to wear it at least twice a week!
I had a dress obsession when I was in kindergarten, but one in particular I remember being particularly attached to. It was a dark blue "twirling" dress with a tape measure design all around the bottom hem. I wore that dress everywhere, including climbing trees lol.

When The Lion King came out I had a shirt with Simba on it that I was obsessed with. I really didn't like frilly dresses and such but maybe that's mostly because my mom had terrible taste.

@ammmc21 - congrats!

2. TWW 8 DPO. I had so much hope until I took my temp this morning. Now I am feeling like I am out. My LP is normally 14 days but since the MC it has been weird and shorter.
3. I was a tomboy in elementary so I always wore Jenko jeans. In middle school my BF and I used to dress alike and people thought we were twins.

TTC#2 April 2019Sorry to all who are ever a rough week or are new here!
There are a lot of BFPs from TTCAL ladies in the TTGP board, so that has me feeling optimistic (you know...since science shows that your chances of getting KU are greater when your internet stranger friends are KU).

3. GTKY: What was your favorite outfit when you were a kid? A white dress with black spots, because I liked to match my dog (a Dalmatian).
LOL - thanks for the smile this morning
@AL_TwinCities - thanks for this - sometimes often the academic in me doesn't turn off when I go home from work and it can be a problem with some social circles (I've been "scolded" gently at my knit night several times - by women who are friendly acquaintances). 2. WTO. This is my first cycle post natural miscarriage. Hcg was down to 2 by 1/5 and had a wonky schedule with patchy ewcm on 1/6 and 1/7 with smileys on opks, and we gave it a shot but started my period yesterday. And man- first period after miscarriage is no joke!
My best friend is now 10 weeks and another coworker announced she is 13 weeks, and another coworker's baby shower is next week. It's really annoying.
3. I had a pair of hot pink leggings i wore all.the.time. usually with a jumper!

GTKY: I was extremely chubby as a kid, and therefore did not enjoy clothes/shopping. I pretty much wore jeans and t-shirts. Also the uber-conservative Christian school with floor length skirt uniforms didn't leave much room for fun outfits.
