Weekend Bitchfest

2»

Re: Weekend Bitchfest

  • At work, we are getting new equipment, that I will be a trainee for, in two months, our EMR is going for a significant major upgrade, that I will be a trainee for, and they are also giving me a Nursing student, which means more meetings. This is on top of being charge nurse on the weekends and 3rd shift per week where I am staff nurse.

While I love this stuff, I am about to start clinical for my MSN program. I am tired.
    Thank God for Raid.

  • My back hurts, also when I sneeze it hurts everything in my pelvic region, so awesome.

This. But also when I cough or clear my throat. Ugh!

And when I roll over in bed. Or bend at the waist too quickly.
  • @rakel88 yes! I saw that this morning ! Oh the joys of being pregnant I've avoided varicose veins so far so I'll consider myself lucky.
@thebigoaktree yes! I sneezed yesterday and thought I had been shot in the pelvic region!

  • @givemepenguinss That takes me to the main community page. It would be awesome to get to the place where my favorite boards are listed so I don't have to go find them again.

@maddmama I have been getting a ton of headaches and migraines since I hit the 2nd tri. Yesterday I realized that I don't think I'm getting enough calories and it seems to be helping so far. Not a fan of calorie counting or anything like that because I think it ruins food and perpetuates obsessive negative eating behaviors, at least for me. But I was curious so I entered what I had eaten for the last three days into a calorie counter and I was only getting half of what they recommended for me during the 2nd tri. So time to eat more! (Plus water and caffeine are the headache miracle workers for me).
  • @stellaluna14 oh my gosh thank you! I definitely didn't eat enough yesterday and that's when the headache started. I did make a trip to get DD this morning. So I'm hoping that sugary ass iced coffee helps haha. The bad headaches definitely hit me more often once I hit 2nd tri.
  • Felt great the last two weeks, promptly threw up last night for no discernable reason. I didn't feel nauseated, didn't see or smell anything triggery. I went to empty, wash, and refill the dog bowl (done every night before sleep as it's the one they only use at night, and is therefore never gross), and suddenly I'm running to the toilet. I felt great right after, but seriously?! I'm over this symptom already.
  • @DobbysSock I seriously have so much respect for you and stm's. I find work so exhausting now and you do that plus these extra trainings, which sound great while annoying, and take care of house and a little one. Whew I need a nap just thinking about it! You can do it though hope the party goes swimmingly and yikes to the snow you must have a lot there!
@Lindsayleigh1989 we sure do have a lot of snow! Not supposed to get this much here but the last two years have been brutal. Mostly it's just my driveway that's awful - it's long, steep and windy. I'm hoping to move this summer (we rent).

I'll get through it, it's just a busy time. Thankfully DH is really hands on with DD and does a lot of stuff around the house so he has picked up my slack. Couldn't get by without his help.

I woke up today and my cold has turned into a sinus infection, so as much as it's a huge inconvenience to everyone I called in sick and missed a day of orientation.
  • I know it's not the weekend anymore but I have got to bitch. If I answer the phone "Hello, thank you for calling ______such and such a company_______ " your response is not "You're welcome."

Don't say you're welcome. I only said thank you because it's courtesy. Oh it annoys me for no reason whatsoever.

Maybe I am just clueless here but what DO you say? If I answer the phone with that its like this "Hello, thank you for calling ______such and such a company _______. How may I assist you? "  But if you just leave it hanging like "Hello, thank you for calling ______such and such a company_______ " my reply should be...?

I'd probably just respond to the "hello" part, like "Hi, may I speak to so and so?" or "Hello, here is my issue..."
