He'll be named after DH, making him the fifth to carry on the name!! We'll go with a nickname to make it easy, still undecided on that. That may have to wait until he's born and we can see what he looks more like.

My SO is Danish so we liked that Odin is a Norse god with a strong name. We get strange looks when we tell certain people, but we love it.

@CourtJack - pretty sure she meant that he will be the fifth generation. Like a (dad's name) junior except he's the fifth one.

But it would be kinda funny if they were like mike tyson and named all their kids the same thing!

my brain isn't normal either, I get it.

He will have a V suffix and DH has a IV suffix. Which means, grandpa also goes by this name so there's room for confusion. So nickname it is

@ScoutPout I will admit...... my little Sam is named from Sam Winchester on Supernatural. I do love the name, obviously. Some of it also comes from the fact that Jared Padalecki's (who plays Sam on the show) Always Keep Fighting campaign is a HUGE reason why I am pregnant today. I chose to be a single mom, had an iui with an unknown donor. Before I made the decision, I had really struggled with depression and anxiety and a lot of it came from the fact that more than anything in the whole world I wanted to be a mom and all I could see what time passing by and me getting older. I haven't had the greatest luck with men....I had a one relationship for a year and a half about 8 years ago. Hearing Jared say to Always Keep Fighting and hearing the meaning behind it...to me it meant having the courage to fight for what I wanted in life, which to me meant being a mom. I took those words to heart and went to talk to my parents who were amazingly supportive. After meeting with my parents, I scheduled my first appointment with a fertility doctor and 2.5 months later I got my positive pregnancy test. So there you have the very long story as to why my little one is Sammy.
