Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Rave: DH got up early and super motivated today. He's cleaned, bathed the dog, and decided we're finally going to put in a back splash in the kitchen this weekend. Rave #2: I found a $100 gift cert to the spa that I'm going to use today.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Staring at paint swatches. Again. Room is tapped and ready to go. I was down to one, then I found two more I love. So here I sit.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Sleeping a bit better lately--not having to get up to pee as much. Midwife appt on Tuesday, so excited for that!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Still thinking about names, but mostly just trying to enjoy the second trimester.

Rant: I got no effin sleep last night. I'm grumpy.
Rave: My parents are hosting a family dinner tonight & my mom is making some of my favourites...prime rib, mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, & gravy. I literally cannot wait!
What are you doing to prepare for baby?
Today DH & I are road tripping to Ikea to look & closet organizers for the nursery. He has NEVER been...this will be fun!

1. Big gourmet kitchen with a walk-in pantry.
2. Open concept main floor with lots of room to entertain & make memories.
3. Big ensuite with double sinks, a big soaker tub (maybe with claw feet), & a big tile shower with a rainfall shower head.

We are doing travertine subway tiles. Just trying to decide what pattern. I like the herringbone vs brick style, but it would be a ton of extra work. And I worry it is a bad choice to install something so currently trendy since we'll be selling in the next 1-2yrs.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Forgot my Diclectin yesterday and was sooo sick all day. I also seem to have another cold. Blech. At least I feel a bit better today after taking my pills.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? I bought a huge lot of gender-neutral baby clothes off of a Facebook swap this week. Gotta get them all nicely folded and put away no. So much tiny cuteness!

1. Huge kitchen with a window to the garden and lots of plants
2. A garage or workshop where I can work on woodworking and other DIY projects (I live in an apartment right now so this seems like an amazing luxury)
3. A nice home office so I don't have to work at my messy kitchen table every day (dreamin' big!)
@hockeyfan42 I recently saw a blog that did a classic subway tile but off-set -- so a bit trendier than the classic subway tiling patterns, but not so much so that it will look dated:

Rant/Rave/Symptoms? I hate this time of year, I always get depressed heading into February. I want to be able to laugh with my daughter and it's just such a struggle right now.

When we moved near Chicago 4 years ago, these are the things I wanted in our new house and I was lucky enough to get them all. I thank my husband pretty regularly for getting me my dream house.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Rant: I went to cash in one of the momma-to-be spa packages I got yesterday. Most of it was great, but the masseuse did NOT work out any of my kinks in my neck. I think it hurt worse a couple hours after I left than when I got there. Rave: Had date night with DH last night and went to go see 13 hours, which was really really good. First time I've seen a movie in the theaters in probably 4 years. Symptoms: Nothing really other than baby kicks and some major pregnancy rhinitis. Part of my spa package was a float in one of those sensory deprivation tanks and the whole first half, the baby was kicking and I couldn't get relaxed haha.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? I'm starting to get presents from my registry, so organizing all of that (I have about 12 boxes just chilling in my foyer right now), writing thank you cards, and saving up for the nursery furniture we want.

1. Wine cellar/bad ass bar
2. Killer view - doesn't matter if its lake, mountains, beach, I don't really care
3. One of those giant theater rooms, for movies and/or football watching parties. I could definitely have fun with that
Rant: My next semester of nursing school starts on Tuesday, and my professor hasn't posted the reading list yet. This wouldn't be an issue except that she expects us to read the material for the first lecture before showing up for class, and it's usually at least 10 chapters of material. Even if she posts the list today, I'm going to be up all night for the next few days to get it all done.
Rave: We took my 2 girls to Disney on Ice last night, and seriously, the joy on their faces was the highlight of the month so far. They were just so, so excited.
Symptoms: My RLP is getting really bad. I think I might need to get one of those maternity support belts. My hips are also starting to hurt when I wake up, so I'm going to look at some pregnancy pillows this weekend.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Absolutely nothing right now.

2 - a really nice back yard: flat, fenced in, playset for the kids, room for a garden, maybe one of those outdoor kitchens, shaded area to sit in
3- a master bedroom with a walk-in closet, space for a reading area (comfy chair and bookcase near a window), and an attached master bath with a jacuzzi tub
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? We just had our whole interior house repainted. It also allowed me to purge SO much stuff. It was great!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? We just had our crib delivered. My parents bought it for me and its painted grey. I can't wait to be able to get it out together.

2. Graco Sous Chef Seating System (highchair), retail $249.99, we paid $30!!

Rant: Ugh, I'm so gassy today.
Rave: Rotated out toys today and reduced the number I have out at one time for DD, so it looks much less like a daycare in my home right now. Wohoo!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? DD picked out a little 5-pack of Gerber onesies yesterday for her baby sister while we were at Target...I love that she is excited for the baby! She gave my belly a hug and a kiss tonight and whispered, "I love you," too. Made me melt!
