Three Day Weekend FRIDAY!!!! GIF party and what are you doing?

Ladies, its Friday! And a Three Day Weekend! What are you all up to???

We are building the crib/changing table and I am going to start to decorate the nursery (pics to come later!)
Sunday is Steeler Sunday! Although all our star players are injured, I am still hoping for a Super Bowl run.
Monday is a day of nothing. Nada. Just going to rest.

And to spin off of my FFFC post, I am going to try to get DH to get 'neked" with me.

  • I don't have a 3 day weekend, but here are the plans anyway lol DH works tomorrow...yay tax time...so I'll be spending the day figuring out if ds1 and ds2 are sharing the big bedroom or if ds2 and ds3 are sharing. I'm leaning towards the 2nd option so I don't have to put the crib back in the little bedroom...it just takes up so much space in there! I'm also going to clean and make a shopping list of what the boys rooms need so they can be finished finally lol

Sunday is just the usual. The inlaws will take the boys to church and then we'll hang out over at their house all day :)

  • @dsmith211 disney sounds amazing :) jealous!
  • I have to work Monday. Boo. Tonight I'm going to the mall to exchange a Christmas gift then BRU for a crib mattress. Tomorrow we're interviewing a daycare, then my daughter has basketball pictures/ clinic, then we have a double date! Can't wait to go out for a nice dinner. Sunday going hiking, relaxing, and watching football!
  • I've been sick for 3 weeks...so this will be me.

  • I have to work on Monday and am jealous of everyone's 3 day weekend and plans!!!
DH is putting the first coat of paint on the nursery walls tonight and then will finish up tomorrow, YaY! Tomorrow I'm meeting up with my friend at Babies R Us to finish up my registry. Then Sunday DH and I are meeting my Mom and stepdad out at Babies R Us to pick up the furniture she bought us. At some point I have to do laundry, clean, grocery shop, and do a few freezer meals too. Man, I could use a 3 day weekend!

  • We're having a department-wide meeting on Monday since we're closed and the Fed's closed, BUT obviously this is still a workday.  It's actually 5 hours away from where I live, so I'm leaving early Sunday morning.  Short weekend for me.  I'm totally jealous of those of you who have a 3-day weekend!  On the plus side, I get to use this vacation day anytime this year, aka when baby's here.

  • My dad is visiting for the weekend to finish up remodeling on our basement before carpet goes in. DH isn't supposed to work tomorrow but he's cooking out for his shift since they will have mandated weekends for the next few months. Other then that I'm scrapbooking and being lazy. No nursery planning yet as we can't move our office downstairs yet!
  • My office closes in 15 minutes, can't wait to get my long weekend started!! Tomorrow we're running errands and cleaning. Sunday I'm getting brunch with one of my besties. The rest is wiiiiiiiide open!

Dang you stole my gif!! I've been saving it!! Lol!

  • We are cleaning out the garage and hopefully SO gets his military gear out of babies room so I can start working on some things! We are keeping it low key and getting some house work done. I plan to do some meals in the crock pot. Monday is another doctor appointment and will see LO via US. YAY for long weekends!!

  • So far, it is a great weekend. I had a funeral this morning and ended up getting paid almost twice my normal rate and then got a call from MH that for his limo "training" he is driving a young woman and her friend to Gilette to watch the Patriots game and the girl's father gave MH a ticket so he could "keep an eye on his daughter". So MH is getting paid to watch the Pats crush Kansas City. He is in heaven! Tomorrow is church, then supper at my mom's. We have a playdate on Monday with my son's 2 best friends and my best mommy friends, one of whom is giving me all her maternity clothes, including a really nice winter coat (mine is barely containing this bump!). She also is so excited that we are having a girl and has a huge lot of adorable infant outfits to pass on. Her daughter is the most fashionable toddler I know so I am stoked Baby Luna is getting her hand-me-downs. Life is good!

I slept 12 hours last night then took a 3 hour nap in the afternoon!

And now I have two days to catch up on housework..

Not a 3 day weekend here.  I am attempting to clean out the spare bedroom (to convert to a baby room) while dog sitting for another person (now we have 4 in the house) and chasing my toddler along with the other normal things like laundry, meals, etc.  I think I am going to call over reinforcements via a grandparent who lives close by so I can actually get something done and make some progress otherwise I just don't see being able to accomplish anything this weekend as far as progress on the baby room.  I did take my toddler to the zoo though, which was fun :)

I am slightly jealous of the FTM's because wow, this is a whole different ballgame this time!  As a FTM I had it so easy many weekends, getting to put my feet up, take little naps if I wanted, eat whatever whenever, talk to my husband about the baby as much as I wanted, maybe even go out to eat, and go about my day doing things here and there without much advanced planning.
Not really jealous because my toddler is amazing and it is so wonderful to be a mom but when it comes to being able to complete a project that can be dangerous to a toddler when your toddler doesn't nap you basically have to stay up all night super sleepy while attempting to get things done and that drags into the next day as you are so sleep deprived.
  • No 3 day weekend here, but we did purchase my new "mom car" last night! It's only been a 3 month process (I hate dealerships and the car buying process...), but we finally bit the bullet. We got a 2013 (so used) GMC Terrain - anyone have one and they love it??
  • @camillaandcarson I loved your comment because I'm constantly amazed at how different pregnancy is as a STM. The first time around we traveled a ton, went out for dinner, I napped and did whatever I needed to do to relax. This time it's not my primary focus and it's just a given that relaxing only happens after DS's bedtime and before mine, so relaxing is really just eating dinner in peace some nights. Weekends aren't much different than the weekday since I'm home with DS all week. I wouldn't trade it for anything, but it's definitely a different experience. I give moms with two plus kids so much credit, one toddler and pregnancy is giving me a run for my money!
  • My lazy three day weekend took an amazing turn today! My sister had asked the other day if I wanted to go over and hang out this afternoon. I pull into the driveway and notice all of the girls who were in my bridal party are there. My amazing friends threw me a little party to celebrate me before the joy of motherhood starts. They got me a snoogle, gift card to a spa and a matching bathrobe for me and LO. Can't describe how amazing it was to see them do this!
  • Three day weekend?  What's that?  I don't get another one of those until Memorial Day and then not even then since baby should be here by then and I'll be on maternity leave.  So the next three day weekend will be July 4th.
