  I get twitches all the time just as you explained. I looked up the symptoms and the term "irritable uterus" came up. I'm not sure if that's what it is but I get them too.

  I'd say either hiccups or baby hands maybe. If he/she is head down maybe they have their hands by their head and just twitch sometimes. :] either way it's ok! I had that with my first and I have it now too.

  I have the same thing....I'm starting to think it's hiccups! (27 weeks +2)

  I think I felt hiccups this morning. I felt her on both sides. I don't think her wingspan is wide enough to be punching both sides of my uterus simultaneously.

  Thank you ladies!! I talked to 2 of the doctors at my OBs office about it and both of them were so perplexed by what the twitching could be. I told them, it felt too fast to be hiccups. It's always unsettling to me when a doctor says "I don't know" haha. At any rate, it doesn't seem like anything to worry about!

  Sounds like hiccups. I feel it about once a day for 30 sec - 5 min.

  I had the same thing for the first time last week, and could only describe it as twitching or seizure-like. It's perfectly normal after checking with my midwife and seeing other posts online. Possible causes are a sudden baby stretch that causes a ripple in the amniotic fluid, a stretch where the baby trembles (I know I've had that with a good early morning stretch) or just a series of fast kicks where the baby is changing position. It feels totally different from hiccups. It's super weird and I'm glad you mentioned it to you doctor!
