Another FFFC - for the first time in over 16 years of living/working in urban areas as a (relatively) small, young woman, I called the cops on somebody last night. Some clearly intoxicated and likely homeless guy grabbed my bag as I was walking to the subway yesterday and then jumped in front of me and yelled that he was going to "steal my shit." He was too intoxicated to seriously threaten me, and I was able to quickly walk past him after yelling at him to not touch me, but I called the cops anyway because I could hear him yelling at other people once I got past him and I saw him weave into traffic as I looked over my shoulder going into the subway. I felt kind of bad about calling the police because I'm sure they have better things to deal with and this guy didn't actually manage to take any thing from me, but on the other hand -- he was threatening people right outside a busy subway station at rush hour. Also, don't grab me or anything directly connected to me. #sorrynotsorry

I am the same way, MAJOR germaphob! My DH is basically the exact opposite. I finally got him to start using hand sanitizer after pumping gas, found some manly scents, but it took years! I have major panic attacks over some of the stuff he does, such as wiping the dogs feet then putting the towel on the kitchen counter and not washing his hands before putting away the clean dishes. Ugh, gagging!

There are several tvs there, mostly showing the State of the Union stuff. DH was apparently watching it and wanting to talk about it. He looked at me as we're on the elliptical and said, "are you watching the State of the Union Address?" I said, "Um...Dance Moms". He had a good laugh.

My old job involved calling another department periodically to inform them of documentation exceptions (basically stuff we were missing from a package, or something they did wrong) and so many of them were horribly rude! I HATED that part of the job, and it's seriously one of the reasons I found something else.
I've gotten better about the telephonophobia, but I'm still not great at it. And if I ever have to leave a voicemail...oh boy...I can never manage a quick, professional here's-my-info-call-me-back message.
