I have a huge pile of gifts in my basement that I received for Christmas that I plan on re gifting throughout the rest of the year. Socks, popcorn, fruitcake, perfume, jewelry... and I can't remember who gave me what so there's a good chance an item may end up with the original gifter.
@WinniethePoohsPants a few years ago DHs aunt gave us a gift card to a store we never shop at (but she loves), even after going in and looking a few times, we couldn't find anything we wanted, so we just held onto the giftcard. We actually have the same giftcard back to her for Christmas last year. Pretty sure she had no idea it was the one she got us. And to make it even better, she got us a giftcard to the same store this year. Guess we will hang onto it and give it back to her in a year or two.
@laurenm2123 What I mean is the type of people who use it as a comma or conversation filler when other responses would be better. Certainly I LOL'd at that myself
ETA to tag Lauren, not sure why my reply crapped out
Re: kids eating snow.....my son, who just turned six, eats snow wherever he finds it. I've given up telling him to stop, unless it's like black from exhaust. I figure it boosts immunity
I have zero plans to get out of bed or pjs until I actually have to today. I may even venture out to starbucks in said pjs. AND!! I'm not putting a bra on today either!
That's what the drive thru is for! I'm doing the same thing today. What a great day!
I just undid the top button of my jeans I didn't think this day would come so soon! I guess the third baby really makes a difference. And I don't own a single pair of maternity pants

Oh, you should really own lots of maternity pants! They're SO COMFY!

Seriously this. I can still fit in my old jeans but my mom bought me some maternity clothes and man are the pants so crazy comfortable!
I will never understand random people that jump into boards/threads to cause trouble... do they really think they're saving the world with forcing their opinions at people? I just find it a silly waste of time...
Second confession: apparently hurling every 30 minutes turns me into a complete arsonist. Can't stand any of these rando posters today. Where did I put my miss nicey-nice pants and my tolerance beanie??

There's been a few posts today that I have been very proud of myself for holding my tongue on. It's SOOOOO difficult sometimes.

Ugh. I tried to ignore the booze police, but then I decided it was better that I engage. Meh!
I just made myself a big hot chocolate with a heap of whipped cream on top. I immediately licked all of the whipped cream off and then replaced the whipped cream with mini marshmallows, not once but twice. And then I ate the rest of the bag of marshmallows, for good measure.

Now I don't feel bad about the obscene number of Reese's that I ate today...
I held many babies before mine but I was always very nervous/uncomfortable. When I had my first I couldn't believe how the people in the hospital (nurses/doctors) handled her! I was so horrified. But obviously it was fine and she even seemed to like it. It was weird to have to learn that she wasn't super fragile and you could do things like bounce her and swaddle her super tightly and it would make her happy. Definitely was not a "baby holding person" until I'd had my own, but now whenever I see a baby, especially if it's crying, I'm like "gimme gimme gimme!" I'm such a pro at calming newborns after dealing with my girl and her colic

I'm behind checking the board today. Bravo. If I could ever figure out how to insert a gif, I'd give you a standing ovation.
There's my confession. I still can't figure out how to insert a gif. Oh well.

My boss doesn't work on Fridays and my manager is out sick. I'm manning the office alone with the guy at the front desk and you can bet your ass I'm not looking for any work to do today. If someone calls/comes in, fine, but don't expect me to be proactive.
I'm currently researching resorts in San Diego for a long weekend sometime in March/April that we'll dub our Babymoon/DH's birthday/early anniversary trip.
The kids I nanny for only get screen time on weekends. Today I'm taking full advantage of that and allowing them to watch whatever they want (well... Within reason obviously) while I crochet and relax on the couch. Too tired and cranky to try to be a good nanny today.
My FFFC: I have no interest in going on a babymoon. I don't think that our vacations will be any worse (different, yes) after a baby and see no reason to spend extra money to "enjoy the last days of our non-child-filled life". We will probably go camping, because that's what we do in the spring, and when people ask, I will call it our babymoon.
Stemming from your FFFC @ashleyrobertson0113 - my kids get screen time every night. It's a major source of guilt - but to get supper made, dishes done, etc - it's the simplest way to keep them entertained. We make up for it by having VERY little screen time on the weekends, but still - the GUILT runs rampant about it. My 2 year old knows way too much about Paw Patrol

Agree. DH and I went to the NC outer banks while I was pregnant. When people asked if it was a babymoon, I'd laugh. Nope. Just a regular vacation. Like we do every year.
June 2016 April Siggy Challenge: Reasons my kid is crying
@MrsAlliKat I have done practically the same thing. My dog pukes if her stomach goes sour from not eating enough even though she always has food. A few times she's puked while we are at work and I'm the first home to take her out, I've pretended like I didn't see it so DH had to clean it up. Sorry, not sorry.
My FFFC is I got home from work at 3 and immediately put my pajamas on and plan to nap until dinner is ready. DH owes me since we're spending the weekend with his parents. It's a lot to ask so soon after Christmas where MIL insulted me. And I can't drink to make it more bearable.
@WinniethePoohsPants fruitcake, you say? What brand? I ***might*** have a completely irrational craving for fruitcake right now. Is it Collins Street Bakery? Because that is a damn good fruitcake.

Lol, not sure. Though I'd mail it to you if I could mama!
@ahernandez16 a lot of the hotels in downtown San Diego are nice. There are also some really nice ones in Little Italy. If you let me know what you're thinking of doing while you're here I can definitely give you some suggestions since I live in SD.

I just want to relax and eat, lol. I live in the central valley so I'm only about 5 hours from SD but I don't visit enough to know it well. I'm definitely up for suggestions and anything (hotels/food/entertainment) that locals recommend. My MIL lived there for a few years so we've done all the touristy stuff with her. I'm up for any hidden gems.

ME TOO!!!!! I love SD Born and raised here, and DH and I have no plans to leave any time soon.
@ahernandez16 there is a little mexican place right next to the Hampton Inn at the little Italy troll stop that is SHAMAZING. So. Tasty. And cheap. It is a total hole in the wall and I can't remember what it is called but you will have the greatest burrito of your life. I Promise.
My FFFC: I printed my friend's registry today and it was THIRTY PAGES FRONT AND BACK. I judged. I love her but I judged.

FRONT AND BACK?!? I giggled a lot at the Friends ref. But holy ish. Sixty pages of baby stuff???? Did they register for every single kind of bottle, nipple, pacifier and piece of clothing in the store??????
