  • My dog pooped in the house this morning. I pretended not to see it so that DH would have to deal with it. (And it worked!)

I've had this same FFFC before! :)

  • @HBMama2B --that sucks. I hope you start feeling better soon. And I'm sure the MYA workers have seen worse. At least you tried to get it into the trash can...

I never know what to write for these...
I went out last night and did one of those paint nite things with a friend. It was the first time I've been out without DH or DD for something fun in over a year. It was awesome! And I don't really feel guilty for making DH cook dinner and put DD down to bed all by himself.
And my DD dance studio is having a daddy daughter dance next Saturday and I bought them a ticket do I get another evening all to myself next weekend.

  • I have a lot of work to do today... but, I still found time to buy myself some new Uggs (yay Christmas gift cards!), a new winter jacket, and some shirts online this morning... oh, and read Friday confessions, obviously.

  • I found the "crazy things that have happened to real people" thread on the babycenter June 2016 board and stayed up super late reading dumb probably made up stories. Murders! Ghosts! UFOs! I'm addicted. And I still have so much to read lol.

  • @itsStackie don't despair! Asking for a pull-up or diaper to poop in is much better than holding it in and getting constipated or worse (encopresis). It may feel like a step back, but you and she are probably heading in the right direction. Good luck!

I vomited all over/in a trash can on the subway platform at grand central yesterday repeatedly, then wiped my dripping nose mouth with a piece of work paper (oops I needed that) and my sleeves (all I had). People gawked at me, didn't offer to help, then got on the same train car as my contagious ass... And sat next to me! All I could think through my tears of misery and embarrassment were that those Darwin Award candidates deserved it, and I'm really really sorry MTA facilities, like really, very sorry.

This gave me flash backs to my first pregnancy when I threw up all over a trash can at metro center station, and into a bag at the airport station while a bunch of tourists looked at me with disgust. Each time I had to get back on the next train with the people who were watching me vomit

  • @AmberLiz99 I'm so sorry. Gawkers suck.
  • @gray51015 oh. Uh uh. Nope. *shudder* I'm so sorry. I hope they are great?
  • @gray51015  that would be my nightmare...

I am being complete antisocial today at work.  I am not answering my phone and sending them emails saying I am occupied... what do you want...

I am also really excited for lunch with two of my work friends today.  I know it will be a long lunch, and the Friday special they have is "Bottomless Dusted French Fries".

  • Mine is that I want to punch the lady who started the "baby shower drama" thread. Flame away. The testosterone from my baby is giving me more anger than I normally deal with in a year.

Totally quoting myself. This is probably against guidelines. So I apologize in advance of this thread gets shut down.

In general people who don't contribute to the community but want sympathy and/or advice make me feel this way.
Yep. I haven't seen the username before, so I figured she'd probably a troll. But still.

@HBamama2B Yes, in my office it is me, MIL & FIL All. Day. Long. Lots of bonding time, lots of unwarranted opinions. We also live next door to them. It's soooooo fun. <---Sarcasm
Oh good gawd. I could never. You're going to heaven, for sure.

My toddler just took a huge bite out of a salt dough ornament. Because I am lazy and left them out until now (thankfully unpainted and unvarnished?) Anyway I managed to fish it our of her mouth but it was the pretty one with my initials pressed into it :( Now she's in her high chair eating chips because I figured she had a craving for something salty and crunchy, haha

Amazing. My daughter sounds similar to yours - but grosser.

The other day on the way home from daycare, I looked back at her in her car seat and she had taken her winter boot off and was licking the snow off the bottom.

  • @CourtJack hahaha amazing. My kid's favourite hobby is finding snacks on the ground in the parkade for our building. It's disgusting and covered in mud puddles all the time because of the snow being tracked in by cars. Yesterday she ate a Cheerio off the ground. The day before was a piece of popcorn. Her #1 favourite treat to find though is cigarette butts :grimace:

My daughter always tries to lick the snow wherever we are--off of her shoe, off of her hands, off of the car or ground. I tell her to stop and that it is gross, she responds by saying that snow is her favorite and that she has to eat it...
