My UO is that I can't stand baby clothes, bedding, etc. covered with little cartoon looking animal characters, cars and trains, etc. I guess it's because I never got into anything animated - even as a kid (There's another UO!) - so it just irritates me that all the baby gear I look at is covered in it. I prefer more classic solid colors and patterns.
There are so many horrible, cartoony options out there! I can't stand any of it.
Agree with this too! I don't want any of that of their stuff, I want it to be plain but still go with our general style. Everything does not need to have "baby" all over it. (Figuratively of course)
@js8812 "lil" anything kills me. Also can't put my finger on it but ick. My UO is that I hate - haaate - baby clothes with words or phrases on them and I know I'm not going to be able to avoid them forever.
lolol! Here you go... so much annoying, bundled up in one(sie).
QBF
What about ones like this? These are way more cringe-worthy IMO. Eek!
That is so gross. I hate baby clothes with stupid sayings on them!

Yes!!! This is so me. I've avoided it for two years with DD and plan to keep on keeping on!
That's super interesting -- and quite amazing! It's definitely an anomaly, but again, it goes back to intent. If someone buys a Birkin with the intent of selling it for a gain, then yes, it is an investment. If someone buys a Michael Kors handbag and sells it for half price after they use it for a year, it's not an investment.
For some reason @js8812 's posts reminded me of this..
My BIL has a hash tag that he uses for pictures of him and his GF that makes my skin crawl: #gabenhisbabe
That hashtag gives me douchechills.
My UO is that I hate hashtags. Unless they're hilarious (spoiler: they never are). Also, can someone explain to me the reason for hashtagging your child's entire name? Like, #FirstnameMiddlename? I really don't get it.
I have a friend that hashtags her daughter's initials with how old she is. She's over 2 now, so it's #cms27months.
I hate the term "preggo." Can we just say pregnant? Additionally, the phrase "sweet baby snuggles!!!" or similar makes me roll my eyes. I have multiple friends who just had babies that post daily about how they love their baby "snuggles." I don't know if that makes me cold as I certainly plan to hold and love my baby too, but I don't know. It feels like someone is baby talking to me. Save that for the baby.

Ugh! I hate when people tell how old their kid is and I have to do math. Don't tell me your kid is 26 months! Just say 2 years old. That also goes for when they are younger and people are like "Oh, well my 23 week old..." Your child is not "23 weeks old"! Your child is almost 6 months old. Geez, I don't know why, but it totally grinds my gears!
I hate it when people refer to a baby boy as "lil man". It makes my skin crawl.
I have a friend who calls her son, lil stud and i have always thought its weird.
Kind of along these same lines, I've heard two of my friends refer to their kids as "sexy". Usually in a joking manner but it seriously creeps me TF out.
I'll admit that I'm a HUGE Leonardo DiCaprio fan. I was always so mad that Claire Danes was Juliet in their version of R + J. I just wanted someone...ummm...better.

I feel like you should go by months until they are almost 2. I've said,"Oh, hes a year"...and then people say he looks big for a year. Well he's technically 15 months so then I say that. There's a big difference between say 14 months and 20 months. So at like 20 months, I'll probably say "almost 2". Up until then I suppose I'll say the month.

Whaaaat? That is so not ok! I would have some serious issues controlling my facial expressions if someone said that in front of me.
Along the same lines as counting your kid's age in weeks, I get so used to counting my pregnancy in weeks that I get really tripped up if someone asks me how many months I am. I usually have to use my fingers
I thought The Martian was a better movie overall, but I think Leo did outshine Matt Damon as Best Actor. It'll be tough as they both starred in movies they pretty much carried solo. I just enjoyed The Martian much more, but it's only because Revenant was a long, slow, stressful burn. The acting of Leo/Tom Hardy carried that movie. I'm going to laugh if Mad Max ends up taking all the awards, though. Tom Hardy better win Best Supporting Actor for Revenant as he was great in both movies. It's so hard to even comprehend the same actor played Mad Max and Fitzgerald. He's amazing.
My UO is that I hate... HATE... hashtags. When people use them on facebook I just want to delete them from my life forever. It annoys the crap out of me.

Yeah this trips me up too. Also, if the question is posed by someone who gave birth a long time ago (i.e. coworkers who have kids the same age as me), they are confused that I count in weeks instead of months. I've had several people give me static about that...try finding a nice way to say "that's the way it's counted these days" instead of "....you're old." Haha.

I like them on Twitter but on Facebook, people hashtag for the sake of hashtagging to look "cool" but no, you don't look cool

YUP. I posted last week about how i HATE when people talk in hashtags. The whole damn sentence is a hashtag or each individual word. AHHHH
I was actually talking to a young mother who was trying to make an appointment for her son with a specialist and the prompts said "Please press the pound sign" and she looked at me, completely confused, and said "Which one is pound?!" I tried to explain it as a tick-tack-toe board and she said "Oh, why don't they just call it the hashtag?"

I love HGTV (like, I LOVE IT) but I cannot stand the property brothers.
So my UO is that I really don't like Fixer Upper. It's an ok show and Chip and Joanna seem like nice people but all of their renos look the same. I don't think Joanna's design style is diverse and over time will show to be more trendy than timeless. I miss shows having multiple designers with varying design styles. Way back when on Trading Spaces I didn't always love the end results from Heldi or Frank but I enjoyed seeing the variety in aesthetics on that show.
These are all so lighthearted! I am going to light a match and see if I can set off a debate.
My UO: I think it's good to get away from your spouse, do things alone and be apart from each other. My H is overseas for work and coming back tonight. I hung out with friends while he was gone, I cuddled with my dog on the bed, I watched TV alone and ate out of a bowl while balancing it on my stomach. Yeah, we sent each other love notes which I really came to enjoy reading first thing in the morning, but seriously, absence makes the heart grow fonder, y'all.

Yes!!!! My husband was a contractor for awhile and would be overseas for months at a time...I loved it! I got to live alone...and be married, it was heaven. lol. Easier with Skype, and then was truly excited to see each other.
Now I want to stab him in the eye with a spork every time he leaves his dirty socks on the couch, or leaves the trash bag in the kitchen as opposed to taking it outside.
Along the same lines as calling babies creepy things-I HATE when adults refer to each other as "mommy & daddy" or any derivative. It's one thing if you're talking to your child "daddy's home" or "ask mommy," but when they talk to each other, in adult coversations, it's creeps me TF out!

Definitely miss trading spaces! Favorite designer was that one guy who painted that ladie's room brown and covered the fireplace causing the owner to have a meltdown. That guy didn't give a F**k what people wanted.
Oh my gosh, my nieces (inherited by marriage) don't ride in the car seat sometimes. One of them wears the belt on her shoulder/neck area (hard to explain) because "mommy I don't like the belt on my chest." Ugh. My hubs said if our child pulls that stunt, it will be "too bad, you put it on or you put it on"
UO - I'm getting sick of the dog lovers on facebook pages - calling for murder, violence and such when there is an animal abuse case. No! There are legal channels to rescue abused animals! Violence is never the answer!

Yes! Although not as much now that we have a kid, because she's always with me when H and I are apart, which means twice the work.
@BuzzBee614 I feel like that's how I will be! The only person that I feel more comfortable driving other than myself, is my dad! My mother is insistent on getting her own car seat for LO and I'm not cool with that...
