My little boy was estimated 3lbs 15oz at 32+0. They said that was normal, but didn't tell me what percentile. Doctor said he should be around 6 1/2 or 7lbs at birth. I guess we'll find out!
October 2017 May siggy challenge - Parenting fails
At growth scan yesterday, 36w2d, she is estimated at 6lbs3oz, 49th percentile. Still breeched and low fluid. Go back in a week, if she is still breeched with low fluid a c-section will be scheduled soon after.
My little one weighed 5 lbs 9 ozs at 29+6. They said she is in the 92%tile for growth. Of course, they can only correctly estimate within 10% of the baby's weight 75% of the time. OP - I wou don't worry about your baby's weight unless the doctor was concerned. There will be a lot of variation based off genetics, mom's body type, etc. Here is a %tile chart if you are curious.
I'm on the opposite side of the spectrum than all of you. At my last u/s, at 35 weeks I believe, he was measured to an estimated weight of 4lb12oz, and was 9th percentile.
I'm waiting to hear back from the diagnostics office to call me for another u/s next week when I'm 37 weeks.
She was like 4.14 at 32 weeks and that was 74th percentile. I have another growth scan at 36 weeks, and I'm looking forward to it. I have gestational diabetes so they're watching pretty closely that she doesn't get too big. But she's "normal" so far!
*lurking from N15* My doctor said up until a minute before I started pushing that my LO was 7-7.5 lbs. She ended up being 8.5. Even with scans and measurements, they really have no idea. Hopefully your babies will be the same or smaller than the estimate than in my case! As a FTM I was definitely not expecting a big baby lol.
My doctor told me that she is probably around 5lbs right now. I'm 36 weeks and measuring 35 cm. I was expecting her to say 6 or 7 not 5 but we'll see she still has a ways to go
At 29 weeks he was 4lbs. At 33 weeks he was 5lbs 6oz. I'm going to be induced at 39 weeks on Feb 11th, not scheduled for another ultrasound this pregnancy. Just ob check ups, and then delivery. I'm a FTM so I'm nervous he'll be huge. They told me it was mostly just his head measuring large, at 33 weeks his head measured 35 + 4. Yikes!
My doctor only does two ultrasounds. One in the beginning to see exactly how far along I was. The other at 20 weeks. It's crazy to hear about all the ultrasounds everyone else is getting.

Yes my doctor only does 2 too. She did her estimated guess by her hands and I guess my measurement
@CLand3 with all my other 3 pregnancies I only had 1 ultrasound for each pregnancy and that was the anatomy scan. Only reason I had more is because they were concerned about my placenta (getting too close to cervix). I guess it also just depends on the OB.
It's true that the weight is only an estimate. With DS1, they told me he was going to be 9lbs. Yeaaaaah. 2 weeks early and he was 5 lbs 13 oz!
This one they checked on last week and the tech said he was 4 1/2 lbs. She's been doing this for over 20 years, has a PHD, and taught classes on this, so I'm almost on board with believing her.

Had my 36 week appointment yesterday and baby boy is measuring 6lbs6oz. On track to be about 8-9lbs by my induction date
8-9lbs!? My boy measured 7 1/2 lbs at my 36 week appt - if you went by that rate, then I'd be having a 10lb baby! I really hope that's not accurate lol.

Ultrasound weight estimates are just that, an estimate. Not always accurate. But, babies generally put on 1/2 lb every week from 36 on. Yay for big healthy boys!! Haha
I don't know the estimate, and I don't believe they are accurate, as with my first, they estimated like 7 lbs or something and he was 8lbs 11oz. I just got out of my appt and I'm 34 week and 5 days, measuring 37 weeks. But the funny part is when my dr felt around to see if she can determine the position, she exclaimed, "I cannot tell her position, there's baby everywhere!".

Yep I know they are notoriously off on their estimates too There was a NYT article about it yesterday too
As of today baby is 7 pounds 6 ounces at 35 weeks 4 days. The most startling was her femur length - which put her at 41 weeks 1 day...5.5 weeks ahead! Luckily the other measurements normalized her overall size a bit.
Really excited. I have my last growth scan here in an hour and it will determine for sure when these babies are coming. Got a call from the hospital with the time for my c section next week, though that may all change depending on today. I'm not sure how to feel, on the one hand I want them to be big and strong and grow as much as they can, but if the scan shows they aren't growing then I just want them out.
Just left my growth scan and OB. Baby's head and abdomen are in the 99th percentile and they estimate his weight to be 6lb9oz and his length to be 18".
Okay, had my last ultrasound today. Baby A is still at 4lbs 6 oz. Baby B is at 4lbs 15 oz. My c section was moved up from next week to this Friday. That's in two days!!
Mine doesn't either. I was wondering if I was the only one lol glad to see I'm not. He also doesn't do any growth or measurement scans unless I'm measuring way ahead/behind where he would be concerned on size.
At 36 wks, the ultrasound tech said my girlie was nearly 7.5 lbs! but then the Dr. Measured and said she's closer to 6.5 lbs... But the sooner she comes, the sooner we'll find out!
I'm 37.1 weeks the tech said baby weighs 7lb9oz, her abdomen was measuring like 38. Something and her head 41.something. My dr called me today and said I had to go see a specialist at the maternal fetal clinic. should I be concerned. I've been freaking out but the nurse just says its protocol.

No, don't freak out. My boy's been measuring 2-3 weeks ahead on everything for quite a while. His head and abdomen are measuring in the 99th percentile.
