@gardeniagirlknits I feel the same way visiting family... We spent a week with each side this Christmas, and when we were leaving, there is so much drama about how we didn't do anything, and the time went too fast. Really? Is it my job to plan outings in your town? we were here a WEEK! Felt like long enough to me....

After a ton of internet searching, I found a (very expensive) thermometer that vibrates. It's called Wink, made by Kindara. It is so new that it doesn't even ship out until March! Here's a link for an additional $10 off for those interested: kindara.com/r/XmjxrcBjS
@MRSCORKER it's totally normal to think it to death. It sounds like maybe you've been a little stressed for a couple of days? The second half of the TWW makes me a little batty, so I totally understand.
Yeah, I've just been over thinking it all the closer I get to being able to test! The struggle is real in the TWW!

I'm only maybe 4 DPO and already staring at my incomplete chart like it's going to magically tell me something. It's insanity.

Oh, no joke. I've been doing the same thing. Tell me why I googled "period like cramps at 2 DPO"... It lead me down a rabbit hole on baby center. I do not recommend.

Congratulations @Tennis11785 ! Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months!
Month/Cycle: 6/5
CD/DPO: 21/5
Timing: -2, -1, 1
Testing Plans: Two weeks from now
R/R/CS: I need to start going to sleep earlier. I've been at work practically falling asleep. Thank God for fifteen 3-4 year olds who are active and keep me on my toes.
GTKY: How much time do you spend on hair/makeup in the morning?
My hair and makeup take approximately 5 minutes each for work. I do nothing fancy, quick and simple is my way to go.
@PrettyPalomino GL with your eye surgery tomorrow! How exciting to be able to wake up and see clearly I wish I could have the procedure but it’s not an option for me
Testing Plans: if I’m being honest, probably on Saturday or Sunday. But if I’m being really honest, that means probably Friday.
R/R/CS: I scheduled an appointment with a new OBGYN who is also an RE/IF specialist for early March. Since we’re on our 7th month with good timing and I need a new one anyways...If I’m not KTFU by then I’ll be in the early part of my FW during our 9th cycle.
GTKY: How much time do you spend on hair/makeup in the morning?
I don’t need to be dolled up for work so most days I’ll spend a max of 5 minutes to blow dry my hair and usually no makeup. On the weekend, if I go out with my hubby and want to look nice for him, it takes about 15 minutes for hair and 30 minutes for makeup. He tells me I’m always beautiful but I like the way he looks at me when I do my makeup nice.
R/R/CS: Not much. Work is super stressful and has gotten really busy recently (they made changes that made it easier for specific units and apparently didn't think about the rest of us)
GTKY: How much time do you spend on hair/makeup in the morning? Probably 20-30 minutes
@ajn092 Hope you are KU before your appointment, but if not, I hope it goes great and you get answers that you need. We are just now starting with some basic tests, and I hate that it's come to this, but at the same time it feels good to take control and try to figure some things out incase we can do something about them.

@soda23 I have heard of that, but I didn't know that it just vibrates, no beeping, so that's cool! It is also bluetooth linked to the Kindara ap on your phone so I guess you don't have to enter anything manually? My gf was telling me about it and wanting me to get in on the betas, but I didn't bother. I might be interested in a backlit bbt, personally, cos that's my biggest struggle is seeing the numbers and seeing the pad without turning the light on!

That's another struggle of mine! I usually turn it on (beep), let it do its thing (beep), and then turn off (beep). Then I end up having to make it beep again later to see what the earlier reading was after the lights come on. Which is why the vibrating thermometer is intriguing to me, even though it's expensive as all get-out. No beeping and it has a lit display. I use FF but am considering looking into Kindara too. Anyone here use Kindara?

@Tennis11785 - Congratulations!!!! Wishing you a H&H pregnancy!
Month/Cycle: 2/2
CD/DPO: 20/10
Timing: Decent
Testing Plans: Because you guys encouraged me not to throw in the towel just yet this month, I'm planning on testing on Thursday.
R/R/CS: I've actually been feeling pretty good this month. Last month (our first month TTC) I was a crazy person. I think I was just feeling pressured to get KU on the first try like two of my friends did recently. Now that it didn't happen, I've been able to settle into the idea that some things just take time. ***Woosah***
GTKY: How much time do you spend on hair/makeup in the morning? Literally zero minutes on weekdays. I throw my hair in a wet bun and go. I work for my dad's small business and I only see him and two other guys all day, every day. Also, it helps that I can go straight to the gym and only have to change clothes, not take off makeup or put my hair up. Weekends, it usually takes me 30 minutes or so to dry and straighten my hair and put on makeup.
@Mlight28 Thanks! I'm hopeful that it won't be needed. Hope you're tests go okay. Do you mind my asking what tests they're having you start with? I've seen women post here about their experiences with fertility testing but I'm curious if doctors typically start with a SA for husbands or if they would want to see if tubes are clear and/or confirm ovulation first. When we first started TTC I had no idea how much info was available about temping, charting, tracking CM and CP, etc. But learning about all this other stuff seems like learning about TTC but on steroids haha
Testing Plans: I will wait until at LEAST 10DPO to start testing.
R/R/CS: I am excited that, so far, my cycles have all been very regular coming off of BC. I was on it for ten+ years, with the last year and a half only having 1 period, which lasted 2 weeks and led my doc to finding a cyst. However, I am not handling these actual hormones well! I am so used to not feeling anything mood swingy or cramps... My poor DH didn't know what hit him when I came off of it.
GTKY: How much time do you spend on hair/makeup in the morning? 0 minutes...I will brush my hair, but I only do makeup for special occasions.
Testing Plans: Holding off until Friday or Saturday
R/R/CS: This is silly, but I'd like to wait until AF is due to test, which is Saturday- but I just found out that my BIL and SIL and their 3 kids will be coming for the weekend. We somewhat get along ( they're very judgmental people) but I'm concerned having them here will rob us of our ability to celebrate/process our emotions between us.
GTKY: How much time do you spend on hair/makeup in the morning? I just got a new haircut that slashes blow dry time in half, and makes it much easier to style. I take about 20 on hair and 5 on makeup.

I know the feeling!! My MIL makes an annual pilgrimage (15 hr drive) to visit us and she stays for an indefinite amount of time (usually 2-3 weeks, don't get me started). This year now that we are TTC I am looking at the calendar and wondering when she will be here and what part of my cycle that will line up with. I am worried that she will be here and my general irritation and resentment with her visit will take away from what should be (if we actually do conceive) a special time with the two of us.
If you test early and get a bfp then you and DH can have a fun secret between you two while they are there. If BFN then at least you can booze it up and test again when they leave (if needed).
Good luck! I am still figuring if It will be better trying to secretly Bd all the damn time with MIL in the house or potentially testing and hiding excitement/ disappointment so that I can give DH a time frame for her to visit us (not that she will listen...)
***Update to DH's SA today- All came back normal!! I was surprised to get the results so soon. We dropped off the "sample" at 10 this morning, and got the call at 4pm. We are very relieved. Moving on to testing for me if AF shows.

@ajn092 Our ob/gyn starts with a SA to rule the guy out first, and since it's the least invasive/expensive test. Then, I will do a Cycle day 3 blood test to check hormone levels. At that point, if anything is off, or maybe if things are normal and it still takes a while, I'll move to an RE as a personal choice. The gyn said he could do a HSG after bloodwork, but I really want to go to someone with more experience in that. He then also mentioned clomid after an HSG (to check if tubes are clear), but I know better (thanks to the ladies here) than to take that without RE supervision. I'm with ya, this is all new (and scary) to me!! But with a good doctor, hopefully you will feel comfortable and informed with all the testing and procedures.

Sooooooo this!!! (On is it my job to plan outings in their town). The week before I had cancer removed, mil came to our town... We took her to lake Tahoe and napa on top of making sure I was ready for surgery. So I don't buy her boo hooing over it... I was going through something very scary and we still managed to make every effort to make sure that her stay was as positive as that kind of visit could go. We didn't want to be swamped with family during a surgery, she should still be riding on the high that I allowed her to be the one person there (I figured, hey I'll be knocked out.. Dh will need extra support in that waiting room). I told dh... We could live there for three years, and she would still be upset at us when we left. Its never good enough. I hope to have a boy someday to be apart of the minority --mothers of grown men do not have to be bsc...

Month/Cycle: 1/1
CD/DPO: 32/????? - Who the heck knows anymore
Timing: No idea
Testing Plans: Everyday until I get AF
R/R/CS: So I am now "16 dpo" with NO sign of AF in sight and about 10 negative pregnancy tests down. I realized....hmmm maybe that OPK saying "yes" on the 27th" was just my first surge of the cycle and O didn't happen. When I readjust my Glow ap to reflect my 39 day cycle that occured last month, it says my o date would be around the 3rd of january, which would mean my timing is nothing, all this cycle was nothing. THUS...i bought cheap wondfo OPKs and a BBT thermometer for next month. Time to get real. Anyone else had similar situations with OPKs, especially people who temp? have you seen them line up correctly?

GTKY: How much time do you spend on hair/makeup in the morning? Like three seconds. Hair in a bun (military), powder, mascara, out the door.

I noticed after tracking symptoms for a few months that my mood plummets the day or two after O. Like clockwork. Then I bounce back, then board the crazy train again around 11dpo. Hormones, man. Sorry you're feeling rotten today!
@Mlight28 Glad to hear you got good news! DH's getting a physical next week, and hopefully they will give him a referral to get the SA done.

Sorry you're feeling rotten today! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am basically the same way, only for me it's mostly with just CARBS. And maybe some tears. I turn into a Feed Me Seymour when I'm PMSing and leading up to O. Probably also why my weight has stagnated where I am these days cos I basically tell myself, "I'd rather be pregnant than skinny!" lol so ya. Just when I was saying to myself, "ya I feel good, no real PMS symptoms, this could be good..." Total carby-everything-food-fest from late this afternoon on. My heart sank. Really hoping this doesn't mean AF is on her way... just that I am running painfully low on willpower these days? Please let it be that. Oh, ya, and I almost cried when we were trimming the dog's face and DH told me it was dangerous how close I was coming to the dog's eyes with pointy scissors. Fought. Back. Tears. Thanks @whiska. I don't remember this from previous months. I feel like a raw nerve. Hopefully I can sleep it off... @BusinessWife hopefully it isn't AF! Luckily I have basically no appetite. I just feel full of ick. Ugh.
@HeyBooHey I get moody around O. So much so that it can tip my husband off that I'm ovulating. He'll be like "you're bitchy. Bed. Now." Lol
After O I'm calm but sort of blah the first week. The second week of the 2ww I start going BSC and start testing somewhere around 10dpo. (I got my positive for my son at 11)

GTKY: How much time do you spend on hair/makeup in the morning?
Probably like 5-10 mins most mornings but like 15 when I am going somewhere fancy.
TTC#2: BFP: 8-23-15 MMC: 10-29-15
DD 2: 9-15-16
DD 3: 9-16-17
CD/DPO: 29/10
Timing: EOD

R/R/CS: I wasn't going to post here today because I am in the boring part of the TWW, but I am so moody. It is like I am having PMS. My poor husband... Anyone else get super moody around O time? I am just tired and annoyed at everything.
GTKY: How much time do you spend on hair/makeup in the morning?
Like three seconds. Hair in a bun (military), powder, mascara, out the door.

I noticed after tracking symptoms for a few months that my mood plummets
the day or two after O. Like clockwork. Then I bounce back, then board
the crazy train again around 11dpo. Hormones, man. Sorry you're
feeling rotten today!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am basically the same way, only for me it's mostly with just CARBS. And maybe some tears. I turn into a Feed Me Seymour when I'm PMSing and leading up to O. Probably also why my weight has stagnated where I am these days cos I basically tell myself, "I'd rather be pregnant than skinny!" lol so ya. Just when I was saying to myself, "ya I feel good, no real PMS symptoms, this could be good..." Total carby-everything-food-fest from late this afternoon on. My heart sank. Really hoping this doesn't mean AF is on her way... just that I am running painfully low on willpower these days? Please let it be that. Oh, ya, and I almost cried when we were trimming the dog's face and DH told me it was dangerous how close I was coming to the dog's eyes with pointy scissors. Fought. Back. Tears. Eeeep!
@BusinessWife hopefully it isn't AF! Luckily I have basically no appetite. I just feel full of ick. Ugh.
After O I'm calm but sort of blah the first week. The second week of the 2ww I start going BSC and start testing somewhere around 10dpo. (I got my positive for my son at 11)
