Anyone feeling much better at 8 weeks?

Is anyone feeling significantly better at the 8 week mark? I've searched old posts and have seen lots of questions about symptoms or lack of...and I know symptoms aren't an indication of viability but what if you have symptoms and they suddenly stop? I was really sick from 6 weeks to 8 weeks then overnight I could eat again and my nausea was gone. Now at 8w3d my breast soreness is almost gone. It just seems to early to be losing symptoms? Anyone else in the same boat? I saw the flicker HB at 6 weeks and go for another ultrasound tomorrow.. I'm a little nervous!

Re: Anyone feeling much better at 8 weeks?

  • I'm 8 weeks today and so far I feel great today.  I've been nauseous for 3 weeks but no real morning sickness.  I also haven't had any breast tenderness. That freaked me out since last time I remember feeling more tender.  I'm just choking it up to "no two pregnancies are the same."  I heard the heartbeat last week and don't get another ultrasound for 3 weeks.  I have a feeling time is going to pass by very slowly!  Good luck at your ultrasound!

  • I started feeling a lot better around 8 weeks, too. I'm now 10 weeks and only have occasional nausea. I haven't had much breast soreness at all yet. I am considering myself lucky since my cousin is 15 weeks and still feeling terrible. I haven't had my first exam yet (only an intake appointment) so I was a little nervous too, but just trust your body and realize that every pregnancy is different! I'll get to hear the heartbeat at the end of the month, I can't wait! Good luck with your ultrasound :)
  • Thank you ladies! So glad I'm not alone :) I'll keep you posted!

  • I was feeling awesome at 8 weeks and around 9+3 I literally got double the nausea I was having. I'm 10+1 and am still dealing with double the nausea!
  • I have been feeling better the past few days. I have read that the placenta starts to take over, so less symptoms?
  • I'm 8 weeks and I feel the worst yet. My understanding is that hormones peak around 8 weeks though so you could be on the mend, or it could get worse.
  • 8 weeks and same deal, nausea is way down, never had much of an issue with actual sickness, but I'm not quite as fatigued either. I think in part it is about the progression of stages and also that I have made a special rhythm out of my day to include my coping mechanisms, always a glass of water by my side, around 10 hours sleep each night, many small specific meals throughout the day. This is all my second time around and am noticing many differences. Breast tenderness has also decreased for now.  :)

  • I hate you all. I'm almost 12 weeks and it's getting worse ugghhh.

P.s. I don't really hate you. I'm tired and cranky and trying not to yell at DH.

  • 7 and a half weeks and ALL my symptoms have stopped. I'm esp grateful I'm not cramping and the breast pain was unbearable! I don't miss it!
  • I'm feeling yucky at 9 weeks.  I'm hoping once the placenta fully takes over in a few weeks that I will get some relief.

  • I'm 7 weeks 1 day and haven't had any nausea. I am very tired. But other than that I've been feeling good. I have gotten grossed out by ketchup but LOVE chocolate milk which is weird to me. I have crohns disease and before I was pregnant I couldn't have milk at all lol
  • @LilLambie I'm right there with you! 11 weeks today and still feel all of the same symptoms!
  • Yesterday SO asked if I was alright and I looked at him and was like i'm alright, but I'm just really blah feeling.   I'm 8 weeks tomorrow and I woke up today and felt significantly better than I have the last couple weeks.  Maybe it was because I finally slept through the night, but I wasn't nauseous, the fatigue hasn't set in yet today, and I was able to get a full workout in without too much extra exertion! Still extremely bloated and my breasts are sore, but I'm feeling much better than I was! Yay! Could be just a fluke and tomorrow I'll be back to blah, but today i'm good.

  • I will be 10 weeks tomorrow and am still on diclegis for nausea. I am really hoping that is will go away at the 12 week mark. I am glad that your nausea has subsided though that is awesome! I wish it was the same for me.
  • I just wanted to update for whoever was in the same boat.. Had an ultrasound today and baby measured perfectly with a heart rate of 178! I'm so relieved :-) thank you for all your responses!
  • @Mamasaurus ; I love your name. lol, but now you have me worried! I am not feeling as hungover this week, but I still wake up and throw up pretty much first thing in the morning. Though my overall sick feelings have gotten better, my breasts are more sore on and off.

My symptoms actually didn't start until 8w to the day, so if yours are done by then consider yourself lucky!!  I'm 10w today and for the first time in two weeks I didn't wake up nauseous and I'm not feeling overwhelmingly tired - neither of which started until 8w and I didn't have either symptom during my first pregnancy.  Everyone is different, along with our hormone fluctuations.

  • I'm 8 weeks today and most of my symptoms ( bloat, breast tenderness, dizziness, and some shortness of breath) have almost disappeared. I have my 1st ultrasound Monday so just hoping everything is ok and trying not to worry. This pregnancy is much different to my others.
  • I thought I was going to be in the same boat as you. Turned 8 weeks on Tuesday and was feeling pretty good, but wow it is back with a vengeance today. Being at work is pretty terrible. And the smells coming from our break room are making me want to run to the bathroom. I need the weekend!

Ugh, I have a coworker who microwaves the worst food all the time! She always makes the crockpot roast beef that I don't think has any seasoning/herbs of any kind. So when she heats it up it just has this steamed beef scent like dog food. I can't wait till I announce this pregnancy and can be honest about staying away/shutting my office door all the time.
  • Well, my skin finally cleared up and my boobs aren't hurting as much, so I would say that I've improved lately. I'm still always tired though. I don't know when that will go away!
