Ugh... PIO

It wasn't so bad in the beginning but now I have to do it twice a day and my butt is in extreme amount of pain i can barely sit without wanting to cry!! Heating pad isn't enough anymore... Any advice??

Re: Ugh... PIO

  • I'm sorry! What worked for me was walking/doing the salsa for about 15-20 minutes! LOL. I know it sounds silly, but moving my hips like you would dancing really helped move the PIO around and not get sore. Good luck!

  • The needle might be going in the wrong area! When we first started I couldn't drive because sitting hurt so badly. One time I couldn't move one of my legs at all because DH hit my sciatic nerve lol - funny looking back on it now. We watched some YouTube videos and started icing the area for about 5 minutes before doing it. Then he would massage my butt and I'd sleep with a heating pad on the area. Towards the end they became somewhat of a breeze! Turns out, he was doing it way too low.

    Hope that helps!

  • I unfortunately don't have any advice for you, but I can sympathize. I had to do 1.5cc of PIO every evening, even after my HCG of 9. The two times after that (knowing that it most likely didn't work) were the most excruciating ones I had to do. Before that I could just tell myself that it was okay because this was going to get me a baby. You just gotta think of that!
