We had DHs work party last night. Before my MC he was asking about his paternity benefits at work since it was enrollment time. The person who checked us in knew about the pregnancy since he had to ask her about it. She didn't know about the MC I guess. When we checked in she said H +1 and a half. It was awkward.
2. Packers of course. I'm from WI. They finally got back to playing how they used to last night. I'm not sure if they can pull it off against the cardinals though.
2. Status: I'm back to WTO. AF came this week, only my second after the MC. Had some unusual symptoms I'd never had before, such as getting super nauseous, more headaches than usual, etc. Since this is only my second AF since MC I'm not sure if my body is still adjusting or if some of these 'new' symptoms for me will become the norm for my AF. Did any of you ladies end up with different PMS symptoms after your MC?

2. CD17 and FF is drunk. FF gave me solid crosshairs this morning for CD14, when I didn't get EW CM until last night. Also, temps are still really low overall (low 97s). I also usually get 6ish days of watery/EW CM before everything dries up, so I say I'm still WTO. I know all bets are off regarding the first cycle(s) after MC, but I really think this is driven by a couple low temps on CD12/13 and the fact that I started temping late this cycle (CD11). We're benched anyway, so it doesn't really matter, but I'd like to know whether I need to pack tampons when H and I go out of town this weekend. My bet is no.
Other than that, I'm feeling better emotionally this week, now that I'm a couple weeks out from the MC. I still feel a strong conviction that H and I are fated to go through multiple MCs (unfounded, but I can't shake the feeling...). However, something @strickland8052 said last week really resonated with me. Even if that will be our fate, we can only get to the other side and hopefully a healthy baby by walking down that path. Sitting aside in fear won't save me from it, but it will delay our happy ending. I've also been reading some articles and blogs about MC, and the phrase "through it, not over it" has stuck with me. Realizing that the emotions and fears around my MC are things to be worked through, rather than gotten over, appeals to the work ethic side of my personality. And considering all this, I feel like I'll be ready to get the show on the road once my period shows up. Keep your fingers crossed that my thyroid cooperates (my next draw is at the end of the month).
3. Seahawks!!!! (Thanks Blair Walsh!)
And, if you managed to read my wall of text, here's a puppy GIF for you!
@Riversong15 Thanks. As for FF, its the forest not trees. I started temping right away after MC and FF gave me dotted CH for CD18 when I think I O'd on CD14/15 based on CM. I had a fever in the beginning though so my chart is all sort of messed up. Also I normally have a 14 LP and based on when I think I O'd my first 2 post MC have been only 11/12. Hopefully everything sorts itself out quickly.
@dpjennifer My first AF post MC was all wonky, and my second one was still different (including a shorter LP). I think it is normal for things to be different.

2. This is my 3rd cycle post-D&C, 1 DPO. Ovulation was a few days late because we travelled last week, but it felt like it would never happen. It's terrifying to think about being pregnant again but I try to keep a one-day-at-the-time mentality, since worrying isn't going to help or change anything.
3. I don't follow the NFL, but I'd probably go with Steelers since DH's family is from that area. I do like watching the Super Bowl for the commercials and half time show though.

Benched, but finally started to cramp and bleed yesterday, and the bleeding has been picking up today. Heading home from work early, just in case. I'm really hoping this happens tonight.
GTKY: I could care less about sports. But when getting my oil changed yesterday a woman who was also waiting was really getting into the Vikings Seahawks game - sounds like a frustrating moment for Vikings fans!
Hugs to all of you. We will all struggle with worrying about our future pregnancies... It is so hard to be part of this club. I am thankful we all have each other to relate to and talk to.

2. Status (WTO, TWW, Benched, etc) - WTO at CD 8. So excited to be off the bench and approaching my first FW since MC (well.. first one that "counts" since we are TTC again). Last week with AF was tough. I too had a reminder of what was supposed to be my first ultrasound and the realization that I would have been nearly almost out of the first tri. The first AF was flippin' crazy, so that didn't help either.
I think this week is going to be better for me. DH and I are going on a getaway this weekend, and it couldn't come at a better time. I'm feeling like I can finally handle a fun weekend, plus it will be the start of FW so.... . It is hard to not think about what "should" have been, but I'm trying to stay focused on what can be. This whole experience made me fall even more in love with DH, so I'm trying to just be appreciative of what I do have right now.
3. GTKY: Who are you rooting for (or against!) in the NFL playoffs? I don't really get into football. Sorry!
2. Status CD 8, (I think) WTO, and hopefully off the bench after my appt tonight. I've posted a few places about my weird experience last week where AF was trapped for at least a day or 2 due to possible scarring or infection. I've had a rough few days emotionally. I was reading my u/s scan on Friday and even though my Dr had rushed through the fibroids on my report like they were NBD, I saw that I have a 1 cm submucosal fibroid. Tonight I have to ask about those. I'm freaking out that I may have to get them removed, which could set up back another couple months. I also am worrying about more scarring, potential chromosomal damage due BPA exposure from my horrible pen-chewing habit, and the list goes on. As I mentioned, I'm getting therapy and I am trying to learn relaxation techniques, but it's so hard. I was on antibiotics due to my possible infection, so I just started back on my Chinese herbs and have my 2nd acupuncture appt on Wednesday. Anyway, lots going on, but ultimately I am hopeful. Thank you @RiverSong15 for your quote I love it. I have been feeling the same about going through multiple miscarriages. Hopefully we are wrong!
3.) Like @m6agua I'm originally from Wisconsin and a Packer fan! I was amazed about how well they did last night! It was like my old team was back. I have to say that I was thrilled that the Vikings lost too, not so much because of the rivalry issues, but b/c I am going to visit my parents next weekend and my dad is a huge Vikings fan. Since the Vikings always figure out a way to blow it, I am just glad that I am not going to be with my dad when they do it this time. Hahhahaha. I am not expecting the Packers to do to much this playoff year, but it's funny how closely this year is resembling the 2010 Super Bowl run. I'm just saying.
ETA I just got back from the doctor and she didn't see any of the fluid they saw in my last ultrasound, I got the okay to start trying again!!!
2. Status (WTO, TWW, Benched, etc) WTO here. My husband is unfortunately traveling internationally though and will likely miss O, so I'm bummer, frustrated etc. Still doing the same old things, acupuncture, OPKs etc. I am continuously surprised by how much this miscarriage offset my body. Who'd have thought being pregnant for such a short time would send my hormones and "normal" off into such far flung directions.
3. GTKY: Who are you rooting for (or against!) in the NFL playoffs? Patriots fan here!
2. Currently self-benched while taking progesterone to get my cycle sorted out (constant spotting with two episodes of what I can only imagine was my body's twisted version of AF- now 9 weeks post-MC). 4 more days/doses and I should expect an AF. DH and I have decided that I'll continue to temp to see if I have gotten back (or at least close to) my normal cycle after these meds are over. We're still debating putting TTC on hold from mid-Feb to 1st of April so that I will be able to attend and present at a conference in San Diego in Nov. At the end of the month I should have a pretty good idea of whether or not I would be able to present, so we'll see. I'm trying to go against my (diagnosed) OCD/Type A self and just go with the flow. It's practically impossible, but heck, I'm trying.
3. I really don't watch football, especially NFL, for personal ethical reasons. Of course, this is no judgement AT ALL on anyone who does enjoy it - to each their own
2. Status (WTO, TWW, Benched, etc) Finally officially off the bench!!! CD1 today and I'm excited to start trying again. My friend just had her first baby last night and I think it was perfect timing. Her whole pregnancy has been a little tough for me because she announced soon after my first MC, but now that I am able to try again (following the 2nd MC and testing and acupuncture) I finally feel more at ease with her new little one. I was always happy for her, but it was just hard to get as excited about it before.
3. GTKY: Who are you rooting for (or against!) in the NFL playoffs? I don't watch too much football and since my Saints are out, I'm not following it either...
@RiverSong15 - I hope your convictions is wrong - I'm currently feeling like a naive pollyanna with my view that I'll only have 1 MC and terrified that I'm wrong and stupid for thinking it will be ok next time. I keep thinking about something that DH said when we found out I was having a MC for sure - before we got the official word from the ER doctor, DH knew the odds were against us but he thought we were going to win the lottery, that we'd end up ok.
@cjs260 - I hope it normalizes well - I'd like my cycle to go back to predictable soon (or to learn what the new normal is I suppose). I've read your story elsewhere and I can't imagine how stressful it must be when you can't find answers. And a tangent (which I do when I teach all the time) - what conference? I've only been to San Diego once (it was for a conference back in 2007 (SfN)) - the zoo was great... the conference was too, but so big...
---TW BFP and MC mentioned - scroll down past the Lilo and Stitch gif to avoid ---
2. 14DPO and a BFN so I suppose my status is now WTO. Temp is still up so I'm assuming it's another 15-16 day LP since my temp normally drops about halfway to the coverline the day before AF arrives and then I get spotting that night. I'm just ready for this cycle to end.
3. I don't follow football at all. I didn't even know it was the playoffs. I don't know any NFL teams either so know that I know it's the playoffs I'm still clueless
Me: 28 Husband: 31 TTC#1: January 2015- September 2016 Infertility, Recurrent Pregnancy Loss Rainbow baby born June 6, 2017 ❤️
@catiecatp I hope no one here has to deal with this again! Unless you have other known health conditions that could be a factor, there is no reason why you shouldn't think your next pregnancy will be healthy. Most people are no more likely to miscarry again. I know it's tough when we've already drawn the short straw once, but really, the past MC has no bearing on future pregnancies in most cases. This is what I keep reminding myself of, anyway. It kinda sorta helps me stay positive.
2. Status (WTO, TWW, Benched, etc): Still benched, I guess? Maybe I'm off the bench. My Dr called and said that my TSH is within normal limits but we have to go up on the dose of thyroid medication again because it should still be a little lower for pregnancy. But I don't have to get the labs checked again until I'm pregnant. Soooo. I didn't think to ask if we should start trying b/c DH and I discussed waiting until March at this point. A fall baby would really mess with my job. A December or later baby would be better. Idk what we'll do. In other news, I am WTO and have been having fertile CM and major ovary pain for like a week with no temp rise. Pop a follicle already!
3. GTKY: Who are you rooting for (or against!) in the NFL playoffs? I don't pay attention to sports, but I'm from MA so Patriots I guess. I always like making fun of DH because Boston teams are so much better than his teams. But that's as into it as I get.
2. I'm WTO, on CD8. My period was perfectly on time after my MC (to my body: thanks for something, I guess). I'm fairly certain it was an anovulatory cycle though FF gave me crosshairs and I did have a tiny temp rise (never did get a positive OPK though) but no symptoms of O. I splurged on ClearBlue OPKs for this cycle (I usually use internet cheapies) and I'm going to pick up some PreSeed and more SoftCups for this cycle. DH has already commented that we should try to be more diligent in trying during my fertile period (the world seems to conspire against us some months!) to maximize our chances. We're both anxious to conceive again.
3. I'm not a huge football fan - DH was cheering for the Vikings until that pathetic showing on the weekend so now he's team-less. I guess if I had to pick one, I'd go SeaHawks since that's the only NFL game I've ever seen live.
Random: @RiverSong15 I've been meaning to say for ages that I love your username and display pic! I'm working my way through season 9 right now!
@catiecatp It is SfN! It looks like I have the chance for two posters, but I'm running some experiments now that will make or break both. So it's kinda up in the air. I'm a 2nd year grad student applying for candidacy this summer, so if I have posters to present at SfN, I HAVE to be there, haha!
@cjs260 - SfN is a big one - I switched from neuropsych to child development between my masters and PhD (allergic to mice, understand the need for animal research but can't be the one doing it...). I laugh when people say that the big child one (SRCD) is "big" because it is nothing compared to SfN. Could someone else in your lab present your poster(s) if you can't make it? I did that one year (Chicago 2008 I think) because I wasn't in the field and she was a) super competent and b) second author on one, first author on the other. Do you feel like you could talk to your supervisor about it? I think I would have felt comfortable enough with my PhD supervisor but not my Masters so I can completely understand if the answer is no.
And looking forward to future years, SfN is big enough that it might have child care, so if the timing ends up that you have a nursing babe in 2017, it might still be an option to go - I know SRCD does and it is a fraction of the size...
---TW BFP and MC mentioned - scroll down past the Lilo and Stitch gif to avoid ---
2. Status: CD13, hoping O is just around the corner. I'm thinking it is, I've been feeling fairly positive and energetic the last couple of days.
3. GTKY: Don't follow football, but would probably go for the Seahawks - spent a lot of time in Seattle when I lived in Victoria, BC, had some really good times there
@dpjennifer I don't know if after my first m/c I was just more observant of my cycles, but I definitely noticed stronger symptoms during my TWW that I didn't always notice before (nausea, bloating, fatigue)-of course, these are also pregnancy symptoms so the first couple of times I got real excited only to be disappointed when AF came. For me, I have now learned not to trust anything my body is telling me post-O.
@AmMcc12 so sorry that you are having a crappy day, and that your doctor's office messed up on the appointment. It makes me sad that your request to cancel the appointment was not handled with more diligence. Receiving an u/s reminder call could really set someone back emotionally by leaps and bounds, and the proper close out of your appointment should have been made more of a priority. Ugh! You are not the first I've heard of this happening to and it gets me a little riled up.
@RiverSong15 just wanted to say I'm glad you are feeling emotionally better this week. Keep it up girl.
@AL_TwinCities I am sending you my best wishes for a safe and healthy recovery; it's about time your body let you begin to move forward! Please take good care of yourself. Hugs.
@Chloe77 sounds like you have so much weighing on your mind right now and I just want to send you some calming, positive vibes. Would you mind sharing what, if any, clues led your doctor to diagnose the fibroids? Was it just the ultrasound? Sorry you have to deal with that on top of it all. My doctor is sending me for a "semi" urgent pelvic u/s to check for fibroids; but unfortunately in the Canadian health care system, plus the lack of resources in my province, that puts me at July 2016 for that u/s. Lot of good that'll do me. Ugh.
H and I both 30 TTC #1 started Aug 2014 BFP Apr 3 2015 natural M/C April 20 2015 @ 6w6d BFP Nov 18 2015 natural M/C Nov 23 2015 @ 5w4d.
@megsbrock Thanks for the good vibes! Just saw the doctor and she was not concerned about the fibroid because it's so small. It's possible that it could grow, but she thinks that we can certainly have a healthy pregnancy with it at the size it is currently. We got the ok to TTC this month, but she doesn't think the bleeding I experienced was a real AF, so she thinks our dating would end up being off, but I'm just going to go by the date I had my worst cramping and other normal first day of AF symptoms even though there was no blood.
Best of luck you you. Hope you ovulate soon and get your BFP this month!!
This is only my second time posting here since my CP started last week, so I'm still kind of new.
2. Status (WTO, TWW, Benched, etc) I guess I'm technically WTO, but I haven't decided if I'm going to self-bench this cycle. I'm still spotting from the CP (CD8), and still waiting to see how "normal" this cycle is going to turn out to be. My doctor said that statistically there's no difference between waiting and trying again immediately after a CP, but I don't know. Emotions still feel pretty raw here. I know it was a very, very early loss, but I'm really struggling. **TW** I have battled with depression for the last 11 years, and it's rearing it's ugly head again. I'm having trouble focusing at work, and I am really not sure what to do. I already shared this over on TTGP, but the company I work for is closing and I'll likely be getting laid off at some point in Q2 anyway. There's a decent severance package if I stay around until the bitter end, but I just feel like I'm incapable of doing a good job at work right now, and I'm considering just leaving now. I also feel inner guilt for not being able to do a good job, and it's feeding into the depression even more...
3. GTKY: Who are you rooting for (or against!) in the NFL playoffs? I don't football... @AL_TwinCities more creepy internet hugs to you!

And plus also, are you in the Pacific NW?
DS1 -- 9/30/2016
GTKY: I could care less about sports. But when getting my oil changed yesterday a woman who was also waiting was really getting into the Vikings Seahawks game - sounds like a frustrating moment for Vikings fans!
Hugs to all of you. We will all struggle with worrying about our future pregnancies... It is so hard to be part of this club. I am thankful we all have each other to relate to and talk to.

Hugs to all who are dealing with the worries and disappointments that come with a loss! I hope we all move over to a BMB soon and never have to come back here ever again!
Sorry!
DS1 -- 9/30/2016
3. GTKY: Who are you rooting for (or against!) in the NFL playoffs? Patriots fan here!
3. I really don't watch football, especially NFL, for personal ethical reasons. Of course, this is no judgement AT ALL on anyone who does enjoy it - to each their own
Finally officially off the bench!!!
Creepy internet hugs @AmMcc12 and @AL_TwinCities
Edit: because I'm having trouble tagging...

3. I don't follow football at all. I didn't even know it was the playoffs. I don't know any NFL teams either so know that I know it's the playoffs I'm still clueless

@AL_TwinCities That sucks! I'm sorry. Hopefully you're feeling better soon.

And looking forward to future years, SfN is big enough that it might have child care, so if the timing ends up that you have a nursing babe in 2017, it might still be an option to go - I know SRCD does and it is a fraction of the size...

Ugh.

Best of luck you you. Hope you ovulate soon and get your BFP this month!!
This post was mostly negative so, I'm going to take a cue from PP and finish on a high note:
