GTKY- What is the best book adaptation movie that you have seen?

How far along are you? EDD? 5 weeks today!!

How are you feeling? Tired and bloated. Sleeping is proving to be difficult.

Doing anything baby related today? My birthday is on Tuesday and I'm having dinner with my parents to celebrate so we will most likely talk babies a lot.

Rant/Rave/Randoms: yesterday I received my first baby gift! My friend has been saving her moby wrap for me since her youngest (3.5) outgrew it

Questions? I've been having a really hard time getting comfortable at night since I'm usually a stomach sleeper. I already sleep with a body pillow but just cannot get comfortable on my sides. Any suggestions on how to "transition" to side sleeping?

GTKY- the most recent book adaptation movie that I have seen was "The Martian" and I really enjoyed it. It was great to see some of the things that Mark Watney explains in the book.

How far along are you? EDD? 4+3, 9/15

How are you feeling? Good, a little fatigue but not bad. Only real symptom is frequent urination, which I don't remember starting until closer to 6 weeks last time.

Doing anything baby related today? Nope dealing with a puking toddler!

Rant/Rave/Randoms: It seems odd that my boobs aren't sore...I remember that happening early last time.

GTKY- What is the best book adaptation movie that you have seen? Twilight was probably one of the ones that kept closest to the book.

Why hello nausea, I've been expecting you

Not even that bad so I really shouldn't complain but this morning was definitely the worst I've. Felt so far.

DH has a Chapters gift card from Xmas that he wants to go spend so we're heading there this afternoon. I've already scoped out good "big brother" books and found a pop-up one that I thought would be good for a toddler. I'll probably buy it if i can find it

So far the Martian. It's a rare occasion when I like the movie a lot better than the book!

GTKY: What is the best book adaptation movie that you have seen?
- Honestly I'm not sure. I try to judge the movies different than the books because otherwise I get angry. Lol. I will have to go with PP and say Twilight was closest in terms of sticking to the plot, but my favorite movies based off of book series are hands down Harry Potter... Even though they had to leave a bunch of huge things (characters, plot points, scenes, etc.) out.

How are you feeling?
Boobs are VERY sore, I'm bloated, and so constipated. I eat a lot of leafy greens and other veggies so it's hard to believe this is even possible... No pun intended.

Doing anything baby related today?
Just thinking about it ALL the time and bumpin'.

Doing anything baby related today? No, still working on getting Christmas stuff put away and sorting through new/old toys.

Rant/Rave/Randoms: Yuck! My husband had a garlic bagel for breakfast and I feel like he stinks! I have a sensitive nose in general, but pregnancy amplifies it like none other.

How are you feeling? Tired but grateful that MS hasn't come about yet.

Doing anything baby related today? Randomly browsing amazon for baby stuff I want to buy.

Rant/Rave/Randoms: These super lucid dreams are getting really weird and creepy, and I'd appreciate it if they'd stop.

GTKY- I enjoyed Time Travelers Wife but I think the reason I felt it was adapted so well was because I saw the movie first. Looking back they did miss quite a bit.

Still feeling great, just dizzy occasionally.

I'm working in the NICU today so it's very baby related, just not my baby.

That GTKY question is oddly specific and kind of hard. I thought the time traveler's wife book was way better than the movie. I will have to say the hunger games only because I didn't read the books.

How are you feeling? Freakishly fine, STILL. I want to feel fine... but I want to feel pregnant, I know its normal, but its still driving me crazy

GTKY- What is the best book adaptation movie that you have seen? I dont even know... I mean i watched and read the Hunger games and Divergant series and loved them, but could have been made into movies a little better.

Hi everyone!

How far along are you? 4 weeks and 3 days (EDD is 9/15/16)

How are you feeling? Better today but I was dealing with a horrible cough/cold for the past week. In fact, I almost didn't take the pregnancy test on Thursday as I thought my period might be late due to my illness. I am glad I did test though as I had been taking OTC meds that you shouldn't take when pregnant. So Thursday through yesterday was pretty brutal without the good meds. The robittusin my doc approved barely touched it. But anyways, no real pregnancy symptoms outside of the lowered immune system causing my mucus membranes to go crazy and make my cold worse. But I am very grateful to be pregnant!!

Doing anything baby related today? Yes!

Since I have been laying low at the house with my cold, all I have been doing is research on baby info. Today I am watching baby movies such as Nine Months and the Backup Plan. I am sad that What to Expect When You're Expecting is not on Netflix. I haven't seen it yet!

Rant/Rave/Randoms: I am a runner and had just started training for a half marathon in April and a few other 5 and 10ks I already signed up and paid for. My cough put me out of commission for a week and I am now nervous how being pregnant will impact my running routine in general. I know I most likely will not be able to run the whole half marathon but I do want to keep running every day to stay healthy. I am nervous about not overheating and what not since I know that can be bad for the baby. So I guess that is my rant/random...I am just going to take it day by day when I feel better and listen to my body...but I am still nervous since I always sweat and feel hot when I run. Lol.

How are you feeling? I'm feeling fine today. Not really tired or nauseous. I tried a "new" cure for fatigue. I did a light workout today. We'll see how it works.

GTKY- What is the best book adaptation movie that you have seen? I loved the first 3 Harry Potter movies, they stuck close to the books. The Martian was also a great movie.

How far along are you? EDD? 6w1d. EDD 8/3/16 (although, being twins, they'll probably be here in August)

How are you feeling? My hips and back are killing me and I'm super tired. Nausea is still lingering, but hasn't hit with full force yet.

Doing anything baby related today? Ordered a couple of maternity/nursing bras since I finally found a place a while back that carries my unusual band size.

Rant/Rave/Randoms: My next door neighbor came over yesterday and asked if I was pregnant since he saw me taking belly pictures on our deck (which would have involved him spying on our house, since there's no clear line of sight between his house and our deck; but he's weird and does that sort of thing to everyone who lives around him). I can't stand him. It's like living next to Gladys Kravitz.

GTKY- What is the best book adaptation movie that you have seen? Probably Fight Club. It's not super close to the book, but it's enjoyable in its own right.

I agree with @FireInWonderland , comparing books and movies is too frustrating. I try to view them as different things and judge the movie as a separate entity from the book.

@alicedavid2013 I'm also RH negative and DH is positive, but I've never been pregnant before. I think we just get a rhogam injection at the beginning of the third trimester

@MojieJo I used to have a neighbor like that. My dog got out one day and instead of knocking on my door, he walked up to my living room windows and peered in, where I was nursing my daughter topless at the time. So glad to have moved away from him.

@PSUBecky23 Ugh, that's creepy. What is wrong with people? You don't just go peeking in people's windows! Knock on the door, for crying out loud!

I hate feeling like I can't do anything in my own yard without him sticking his nose in where it doesn't belong. I realize I'm technically in "public" since our yard doesn't have a privacy fence, but it's still frustrating. Our house has terrible lighting, so the only place I can take good belly pictures is outside in the sunlight.

Now I'm going to have that creepy feeling of being watched every time I'm outside taking photos. And no more laying out on the deck in my swimsuit, either, I guess.

I always knew he was a people watcher (he once filmed people in the neighborhood without their permission after we'd had a flood, which always gave me a weird vibe, even though he says he was just "documenting" the aftermath), but I thought he only did it from his garage (he has a table and chairs set up in there and camps out all day during warm weather), which faces the street and blocks the view of our yard.

@marikkita12 I wouldn't worry about sleeping on your side yet. I am a stomach sleeper, too, and I started side sleeping in second tri last time, when I felt like the bump was in the way. I plan to stomach sleep as long as possible this time!

I second that! I'm a stomach sleeper and tried to force myself on my side right away with DD but slept terribly. My doctor assured me that I could sleep on my stomach for all of first tri - and that I'd know when it was time to stop (because I'd feel my bump). She was totally right. I'm doing the same this time around - losing sleep in the beginning (during the last few months where somewhat decent sleep might actually be possible) just isn't worth it!

I'm gonna third it! Enjoy the stomach sleeping as long as you can! Once I hit second tri, I started to sleep on my side, but I also got awful insomnia and ended up sleeping in the recliner many many nights. So live it up while you can!

@alicedavid2013 @zrain I am also RH negative, and this is my third pregnancy. You should be getting your first rhogam shot during the first trimester. At least that's what all of the nurses and OBs I spoke with told me. If you know you're RH- you should talk with them if they haven't already asked you. You'll get another one around 20some weeks I think and then another one closer to labor, from the way it was explained to me.

Also, you both have excellent taste in movies/books.
