Twins?!?!

So I started bleeding last night and ended up going to the hospital. Thinking I was going to miscarry. I had blood work done and they checked my cervix. Next was the ultrasound, which I hadn't had yet. I'm only 7wks 2 days. The doctor said did you conceive naturally? I said no we did one round of clomid. He said did your doctor talk about a possibility of multiples? I said yes, why? He said well your having twins! If I wasn't laying down I would have collapsed! I think I will be excited after the shock wears off! HOLY COW!!

I'm 7weeks2days pregnant with twins also and it was a shock for me as well as I did a frozen transfer of 1 embryo!! We found out Tuesday...and I'm still in shock!!

My third pregnancy was twins. Didn't find out until 23 weeks though we were going to do a gender reveal party and wanted to keep it a secret even from myself. We saw a third leg. They were ID and one was hiding behind the other the whole time we never saw or heard two heart beats.

Well went in today at 8w1d only to see two babies!!!
Complete shock. What we thought was #3 has turned into 3 & 4!!! Never did I expect that news today! We conceived naturally! Still in shock. When does reality sink in?!?

Thank you @rikopy !!! It's so amazing and I'm excited to join the twin mommas! Did your dr say if you'd be monitored closer? They mentioned I most likely would be!

@megframe16 Yes, she said there would be more appointments so they can closely monitor their growth. I think they will also check blood work more often since the risk of gestational diabetes is higher. My doc told me a bunch of stuff but I was so in shock half of it went in one ear and out the other, so I will have quite a few questions at next appt!

Congrats! I did clomid to get my son 3 years ago and we did it again this time. The 5 week ultrasound showed two sacs so fingers crossed I'll be right there with you with the clomid twins when I get my 6 week scan on Monday.

My mom took clomid and I am a triplet because of it. I have two brothers and they are my best friends and I can't imagine a better childhood together.

Congrats! I am 9 w with twins and still in shock some days. On a 5 week scan we saw one baby the next week the second baby was there and we had two heartbeats.

So.... we went in today for our first ultrasound at 10w5d. First time meeting my OB, who I really like, and we go to do the ultrasound and I looked and was like, is that twins?!?!?! She was like let's get a closer look... Yup, not one, but two babies! They are measuring a bit smaller by a couple days, but she said that's normal. We got to hear both heartbeats. I thought SO was going to pass out! We are scared, excited, shocked, happy, worried, and probably every other emotion!!! These are our first babies and were conceived naturally. My grandpa had a set of twins brothers and my SO's mom had twin siblings, but I don't think we really thought it was a possibility since neither of our parents or grandparents were! I was just praying for a healthy baby and now we have two!! They say God only gives you what you can handle, so we are in for a ride!!

I had four rounds of clomid before it helped and we are expecting twins, too! 12w3d I have an ultrasound on Monday 2/8 and can't wait to see how much they've grown!

Ladies-- I'm just curious are you finding out the sex of the babies? Prior to this when we thought there was one we weren't going to find out. Now I'm on the fence, the larger part of me really would like the surprise, but the other part would maybe like to plan. However, the only thing that I think in planning would be a nursery and clothes and quite honestly I love yellow and don't mind the gender neutral options. We won't have a nursery set up in our current place (too small) so unless we move before then, I won't have that to fix up. We agreed to not have them named until we see them, so I'm still kind of leaning towards not finding out... So torn!

We hope to find out from the bloodwork but if it is inconclusive I was to it would be at around 20 weeks. I am a planner and really want to get prepared with the nursery especially in case we have a boy and a girl. Just follow your gut and do what makes you comfortable.

@tmk0325 Same here. We were 100% team green when we thought it was one, but now that it's two, we've decided to find out. And now that I know we're going to find out, I'm dying to know what sex the babies are!

Same boat here! When we thought it was just one we were totally team green! When we found out there were twins we feel like it's hardly an option! We will be going from 2 kiddos to 4! So we are finding out strictly for budgeting reasons. So we can hit the spring garage sales for cheap clothes for the correct genders

but I won't lie when I say I'm dying to k ow the genders so we can also start brainstorming names for both!!

@megframe16 Yes! We've put a pause on the name discussion until we find out the sex. We hardly agree on one name, much less coming up with four potential names until we find out.
