They were two small servings. Definitely not enough to give me a buzz. I'm honestly not worried about it. Fast food, as well as hormones, GMOs, high fructose corn syrup, pesticides, etc. in the foods that many people eat on a daily basis probably has more of a negative affect on them than would one instance of drinking 2 glasses of wine.
I'm not worried that it caused any harm. Guess I'm more of a laid-back type of person. But thank you all for your concern, I know you only mean well!
@jilligirl16 You have a weird way of justifying your drinking while pregnant. I don't think it is considered "laid-back" kind of person when you drink while pregnant and I also don't think people are concerned about you. More concerned about the tiny little baby growing inside of you. A lot of women here on the bump worked damn hard and long to become pregnant or are still trying. If you are going to continue to make poor choices while pregnant, you might not want to broadcast them on the internet.

Small glass or not I don't understand how you could be proud of drinking in the first trimester. Second or third trimester and having one glass fair enough but not the first. There is so much development happening right now, I just don't understand why you would even risk it.
I'm a very laid back person and this I'm completely side eyeing.
Our bodies are pretty amazing and they work really hard to protect our babies. there are many women still drinking like a sailor right now because they don't know they're pregnant. Can we cut the witch hunt already. Don't keep drinking, but there are studies saying alcohol in low amounts aren't harmful. Also, if you are an avid drinker your body becomes accustomed and better at processing alcohol, 2 glasses of wine for one may be the equivalent to 1 or 4 to another.
@teamfish12 YOUR BODY may be used to achool but not the one of your baby, and all what your drink affects him/her as well, and no it does not get filtered. PLUS actually the more you drink the less good your liver gets at filtering it all out, you just need more to get a buzz.
Drinking while pregnant is the same as giving your baby wine in his or her bottle.
You and @jilligirl16 are reckless and endangering your unborn child.

I'm not sure if this is even true, but I'm pretty sure alcohol tolerance is not relevant to how alcohol affects a fetus. Could you cite some valid research to support that or otherwise refrain from making statements that could encourage pregnant mothers to drink?
@jilligirl16, I actually am going to give you the benefit of the doubt here and assume this was a one time thing. However, I think it's your nonchalance towards this subject that is bothersome. I don't think one drink on occasion is bad during 3rd trimester, but even if I DID have one I would not broadcast it on the internet because you don't know who could be reading your post and thinking "well maybe I can have a drink too. I'm laid back." There could be women who have struggled with substance abuse and/or alcoholism that could read that, decide to have one drink, and not be able to stop.

You share blood with the baby, what you eat and drink goes to the baby. Why else would their be issues with FAS??? Maybe you two should go start a private group of drinking pregnant women!

*Lurker* I'd be interested to see these studies because all the research I've done has concluded that there is NO safe level of alcohol that can be consumed while pregnant.
so again, probably isn't the best, but it also isn't the worst. We aren't talking about heroin. Can't wait until the marijuana and cigarette posts pop up. Women, you are warned, you will be judged regardless of your decisions. The sooner you can let go the opinions of others the happier you'll be. Have a great day everyone.
so much for fffc also, never said I was drinking. You know what they say about assuming. Knew I was walking into the pit with that comments.

Yeah, the link you posted absolutely refutes everything you said in your previous post. You have a nice day too. Meanwhile, try honing your reading comprehension skills.
I actually have read studies that found light drinking during pregnancy is ok. I know, you all want links. Google drinking and pregnancy in Europe. They're out there. I personally will not drink but I won't judge light drinking in others. FAS isn't caused by a drink here or there.
I called into work twice this week because I could not get out of bed to save my life. My mom is in town and I have taken full advantage of it with DD.
My confession is that I stayed in my pajamas all day until I ordered a pizza for dinner. I didn't want the delivery guy to see what a slob I am! P.S. My husband is out hunting for the evening, so I changed right back into them after my pizza
Another confession is that I already ordered stuff for a pregnancy announcement and gender reveal. I know it is super early but I just couldn't help myself, I'm excited!
@jessbaldwin14 I have some stuff in my etsy cart for our sex reveal and I'm about to order some stuff for our grandparents to be announcement to our parents I can't contain myself either! Still saying cautiously optimistic though if that makes any sense..
Re: FFFC
I have 10 Not Your Fathers Rootbeers sitting in the fridge that ware waiting for my sister to come get.
So you can't say that the glass was not full and try and justify the fact that you were drinking when pregnant as something that is okay.
