  I can see having a taste here and there but two glasses (probably closer to 3 servings since a "glass" is usually much more than a serving) is just stupid. They don't have any sort of effective filtering so if you're buzzed, baby is wasted. FAS is not something to screw around with. 
  
  If alcohol is that important to you at this point in your life, please consider counseling and I am not exaggerating.

  I have two today:
  
  1. DH and I haven't had sex in almost 4 weeks. Now that the morning/evening sickness has started it looks like weekend afternoons are his only chance to get lucky for the next month or so.
  
  2. I made a big pot of chili and cornbread on Wednesday night. DH asked me why I didn't eat any of the leftovers for lunch yesterday, and I said that my stomach was too sensitive. That's not true. I just wanted french fries.

  @TheTamedShrew - my hubby and I didn't have sex until I was 40+ weeks last time around.  I was unnecessarily nervous and had zero interest until the end.  I think he wanted to get the spice back before trying to conceive again, but I was on a mission   We haven't had sex since I ovulated and not sure when it could happen again...   For real @jilligirl16 , I hope you don't think "well I had a couple glasses already so I might as well keep doing it". FAS is on a spectrum, and the more you drink the more likely it will happen and the more severe it will be. I have a patient with it and it presents like very severe ADHD; you can't tell you have it by looking at him so it's not always easy to pick out and diagnose. Some for whatever reason can tolerate it, hence why you always get the person going "well my cousin drank every day and baby is fine". It's not a gamble you want to take. 
  
  Put the booze down right now and chances are baby will be fine but for the love of fuck don't make a habit of it. You drink, baby drinks. You wouldn't put booze in a baby's bottle so don't consume it.

  My FFFC is I side eye the shit out of anyone who drinks during pregnancy, at any stage. It's just not worth the potential risks.

  I had one beer and one glass of red wine during 3rd trimester while I was pregnant with DD (both separate occasions). I'm not advocating drinking while pregnant at all, especially in light of recent studies. You can side eye me if you want.   My brother's wife drank THREE big glasses of wine at Christmas, I didn't even notice because I know she goes by the "one glass of wine a week is fine" and did that with her last pregnancy and since so far her son is completely fine she thinks it's okay to keep going. But my husband counted, THREE big glasses.
  
  I just never understood, How can you that addicted to wine that you can't stop drinking when you are pregnant?
  
  They are both doctors too, way to set a good example.

  The rule in my house is that the tree comes down before Valentine's Day. I love it too much to take it down earlier.

  When someone responds to my comments (anywhere I don't just mean here) but clearly takes only what they want to read or takes them way out of context I read their post out loud to myself and then laugh about it for a minute or two, because it's not worth responding. I actually HATE the drama on TB and on FB because I think it's almost always taken too far. *queue flames*

  I put up my Christmas stuff the weekend before Thanksgiving weekend, and it comes down the weekend after the new year. We live in a flat that has large bedrooms but a small living room (why? Idk) I wish I could keep it up longer but things are crowded enough as is.
  I drank new years eve and then got my BFP two days later.. I was pretty mad at myself considering I'm not a big drinker in the first place (other than an occasional glass of wine with dinner) then the one night I DO drink I end up being pregnant without knowing it!

  Christmas is still up in my house too, but I'm moving so it will be coming down shortly.

  If you want to drink a small amount of red wine in the 3rd tri, go for it (you won't find me doing it though). 2 glasses in the 1st tri is wrong and I hope your baby doesn't have any problems. Major side eye from me for that.

  My MIL and SIL are both NICU nurses and the stories they have told from babies with FAS is enough to keep me away.

  I had blue cheese crumbles on my salad at the restaurant and ate it.   It was sooo good! :-/

  Sometimes I want to be babied.  Just a little, teeny, tiny bit.  Trust me, I'm not one to milk my symptoms for all they're worth.  In fact, I'll power through just about anything "because I have to."  But it would be SOOO nice for DH to show a little TLC every now and again.
