Question for those of you who already have two or more kiddos. When you were pregnant with your second (or more), did your older kid(s) want to be on you constantly? My 21 month old is attached to me like crazy. I'm fine with that, except I feel like he is always jumping or whatever and I'm afraid he'll jump right on my belly. I know baby is teeny tiny right now, and well-protected, but it still makes me nervous. Any tips, tricks, or advice?

I've never worried about my older kids hurting my baby in utero. The are so well protected in there that it would take a lot for a cuddly toddler to do any damage. Plus, I know how much time I will be spending with a newborn, so I don't want to give up any time with my current little ones while they still have more attention.
If you are nervous, pregnancy is a good time to practice being gentle with the baby. A big brother book about pregnancy might help. Then you'll already have the idea somewhat set when you bring home the baby that came out of mommy's tummy.
I love the various ideas about transitioning him to big brother mode too. Whenever we see a little baby, he is totally obsessed. I know he's going to love having one of his very own (though I'm sure he will miss being the sole focus of my attention too). I'm excited to really savor the next 8 months with him. I will certainly take all the cuddles I can get.
