Not feeling preg. At 10 weeks...scared

I am 10 wks 1d and aside from sore boobs and being a little tired I don't really feel pregnant:-/ I too k a pregnancy test this morning just to see the lines and reassure myself I was fine and the test line was barely there to the point where I had to kind of squint to see it....i just don't want to spend my entire pregnancy freaking out...has anyone else felt this way if so how did you deal and what was your experience?

  • tests can get lighter further into pregnancy you are. consider yourself lucky to not be sick. If you are concerned you can always go see your doctor to confirm.

  • Around 10 weeks is when the placenta starts to take over nourishing baby, so your body's hormones have less work to do and they start to drop off so it's perfectly normal to start feeling better around now. Or you just might be one of the lucky ones (I think I'm included) that doesn't have bad morning sickness.

I'd also recommend you stop testing - sometimes tests can act a bit wonky with really high HCG levels so you'll just stress yourself out more.
  • Thank you for this reply it definitely puts my mind a bit more at ease:)
  • When is your appointment scheduled for?  You wont feel this way throughout, because you'll have regular exams both blood labs and ultrasounds to confirm that everything is moving along fine.  And once you start growing in size and then baby moves you'll have that for reassurance!

  • Have you had your first appointment yet? Hearing and seeing the heartbeat always makes me feel so much better!
  • I'm in the same boat! Boobs are not sore anymore when just last week, they hurt even if they felt the wind, lol! Nausea went away significantly. I'm still tired and frequently pee but other than that, symptoms have subsided & I'm 10 weeks, 4 days! I checked the baby's heartbeat with my home fetal doppler so it was reassuring.
  • Don't worry. I'm 9 weeks, sometimes for several days my symptoms go away (I get nervous) and then they come back. But, you are near the end of the first trimester when most feel a lot better and a lot of symptoms from the hormones may drop off. So, really don't worry!
  • I recommend retesting with the urine and added water. Is it possible that the hcg is too concentrated.
  • Thank you all for your replies....i have an appointment on Monday the 11th and I'll be 11 weeks then so I'm hoping to hear a heart beat...I had a 6 week ultrasound and saw the heart beat so that was definitely something I needed to see .....I think I'm just getting anxious because of the waits in between appointments....I've also got pcos and have had cousins and aunts who have experienced MC and I think I'm just freaking myself out!! This has definitely helped hearing from you all thank you:)
  • Symptoms, or lack thereof, have nothing to do with the health of the pregnancy.  I had very little symptoms with dd1 and so far, very little with this one as well.  Worrying is natural though, and get used to it because you'll be worrying about your kid their whole lives ;-p
  • for both my first pregnancy and my current I have no symptoms and that is completely normal for some women. when you hear the heartbeat and start to grow you'll feel more confident. then you can just enjoy being pregnant!!!  :)
  • I'm feeling this way too. I'm also 10 weeks will be 11 weeks tues. I see my Dr then but the wait is killing me. Nerves are definitely on edge.
  • This post has helped me relax! I was feeling the same way! I had some serious morning I mean all day sickness up until 10 weeks and it just immediately stopped one day. Everyone was telling me it would go away around week 12-14 so I was getting nervous too. I'm sure we are fine! I still am completely exhausted and have to eat every couple hours. Maybe it's just our babies being nice to us after all the nausea they put us through the last few weeks. Good luck at your appt. I'll be 11 weeks Monday too. My appt is wed.
