I saw this thread another BMB and I liked it! Most of our weeklies are all about complaining so I thought it would be fun to add a weekly thread for bragging/excitement.
So tell us, who or what is winning for you this week?
An old co-worker sent me a ton of baby clothes yesterday. While none of it is my style, it is great to have the back ups for those times we are running low on clean clothes!
I am bursting at the seams with excitement and jubilation (yeah, I said jubilation!) about this new baby! I don't know if it is because we know we are having a girl, have decided on her name, or if I am just feeling much better physically, but I finally feel like everything is clicking and am genuinely enthusiastic about everything. I am proudly bumping out and feel really great about my body. I am still losing weight, my resting HR is down, my BP is stellar, I am much more active, and I have more energy! I am probably the most annoyingly happy person in the world right now. Yes, I get a little exasperated at work, but who doesn't? Also, I am not holding on to things and letting them stew as much so if something pisses me off, I say something, handle it, and move on. It is awesome! Stuff is just rolling off my back and not eating away at me anymore. When something irks me, I just tune in and feel my baby girl dancing around or flip through the video of my son singing Jingle Bells or text MH and everything seems right with the world. I have been way more connected with my sisters and friends and have even started making some friends at work, which I NEVER thought would happen! I get that they may be inviting me out as a built-in DD, but whatever. It is nice to have someone to talk to during the day.
As I am writing this, I am realizing that I have been taking the Zoloft for enough time for it to hit peak therapeutic levels in my blood stream. Soooo...HOORAY FOR MEDS!

Play clothes! We always used the hand me downs I didn't like for DD to play outside, help in the garden, etc. All that messy stuff. That way when they got ruined, I just plain didn't care.

DS slept through for 9 hours straight last night (12hrs total)!!! Sleep wake-ups have been an issue for us since night-weaning in August, as he kept waking out of habit. We had it whittled down to just one or two wake-ups for the past couple of months and last night was a game changer! I got 7 hours of sleep IN A ROW. That hasn't happened since 2013. I know it could change again tonight, but I'm just so happy that he did it.
Finally started the process to apply for our European passports! So excited to at least have a choice where we want to live!! Hold thumbs it will get approved please
We got to see the baby moving around during our ultrasound yesterday. With DD1, she as fairly still and we didn't get to see the movement. With this one, the tech actually held the wand still so we could watch her playing with her feet and discovering her thumb. It was pretty awesome.
Also, small area. We have to go to the hospital for ultrasounds and there is only one tech on staff. She's pretty awesome. Been there forever. I love getting to visit her, not just see the baby. We actually run into her every so often out and about too.

Hold thumbs?! Is that like crossing your fingers? I think that phrase is winning it today
I got my full 8 hours of sleep last night!!! I was on the vicious napping cycle - come home, nap 2 hours, not able to go to sleep until 1 or 2 am... Yesterday I put my husband in charge of waking me up from the nap after 30 minutes, so he got me up, I felt terrible, but was able to go to sleep at a normal time. And I didn't get up in the night to pee once! I think that's also a first!
Love this thread! My winning Wednesday is that I'm finally "out" at work (was nerve-wracking for me to tell as I haven't been here that long). Now that people know and talk about it openly it's a whole different ball game. What a relief!
@ yogahh
A neighbor who has 2 boys gave me a few hand me downs (for twin girls). A few are my absolute favorite - a shirt with lizards all over it?! yes please. and some are more boyish so they are at Gram's house in case they spill or poop or whatever, especially because my diaper bag lacks organization these days.

We finally got the appraisal back for the home we're trying to close on and it was right on the money with what we offered/what the owner accepted. Wahoo! We've been anxiously waiting to get it back for two+ weeks now, but the federal holidays dragged it out. This means we'll stay on track to close in 2.5 more weeks!
@countrygrl5533 I've had the same tech every time (so 6+ visits over two pregnancies so far) because I always book it same day/time frame due to work. I look forward to seeing her and she remembers me and my DH! It's an extra little perk that I truly enjoy as well.
I was craving sweets/desert today at work during lunch so my SO brought me a milkshake and pie from Burger King! YES! This never happens! Oh and my birthday is tomorrow. Winning!

I got approval on all the costume selections I sent in for my dance classes. Every year at least one gets sent back that it's too expensive or doesn't come in the right sizes, for the first time I got my first pick in all of them! Bring on the tutus!
Working with nurses in a small hospital that are excited about your pregnancy. Nurse manager asked if I wanted to check in on babys heart beat. (I told her I was havihaving alot of braxton hicks???) I wanted to be reassured everything was ok.

Me! I'm winning. I love baking and I finally got some free time to make DH a homemade birthday cake for his bday tomorrow. Homemade 3-tier chocolate cake filled with peanut butter buttercream and chocolate buttercream on the outside. I'm not sure who's more excited to eat it, me or him.
