August 2016 Moms

Are there any younger moms on here?

I am turning 20 in 3 weeks and my EDD is August 22. My fiance and I have lived together since September of 2013 and have been together for three years. We had previously TTC for 7 months and got nothing. We stopped trying and of course on his 20th birthday we got the greatest gift of all!! A BFP and we couldn't be happier or more excited! I would just like to find other mommy-to-be's that I could relate to but so far I'm feeling pretty out of place reading everyone's ages.

I would say I'm younger, I'm 25.  I notice it most at work.  My coworkers that sit around me and those I know that have had kids recently are at least 30, most in their mid to upper 30s.

Hi! Just turned 21 inSeptember. Due date right now is August 21. so excited and so nervous as I'm already having a few concerns. Hopefully all is well!
  • I'm 24 due 8/4 we had our first when I was 21 ☺️ You're not alone!
  • I'm 23 due 8/17! But, I totally look like, 14....so I am betting on getting lots of looks. Maybe I should get a shirt that says "I'm 23, been married for 4 years"....

Young mommies just mean we get to have more kids when we feel like it!

  • I'm 20, due around the first week of August, and turn 21 at the end of August!
  • I consider myself young, being 25 (like @l9i it's especially noticeable at work, where I'm the youngest person that I know, in my department or in any area that I work with). Also, I had my daughter when I was 20! You're not alone, mama!

  • I consider myself young. FTM, 24 y/o. People ask me all the time "why are you having kids so young", etc. My answer is that DH & I can start a family whenever we please :)
  • I'm 21, had my first when I was 20. DH and I have been together 6 years and married for 2.
  • I'm 25 and am expecting my 2nd. I had my daughter at 22! It's crazy how people act like its so young when our parents were done by 22 and our grandparents had kids at 17!

Guess I'm young 24 and expecting baby number 3! DH and I have been married for 2 years. (Highschool sweetheart! )
  • I'm 25. I've been raising my stepson for almost 5 years and had a baby just after turning 24.
  • I'm 23! We had our first when we were 20. We have been together for 6 years and married for 6 months.
  • 25 and expecting #3! Had my first at 22, second at 23!
  • I was 20 when I got pregnant with my first and had him 4 months after I turned 21. Now I'm 22 and will have this one just a couple months after I turn 23. I hear it is easier on your body at this age but I think it is different for everyone. I am the only one of my friends with kids. My husband and I are celebrating our 4 year anniversary this year and most of our friends just got married this summer or last. Sometimes it stinks being the only one with kids, but on the plus side your child will get extra aunties and uncles to buy them cool stuff and be willing to babysit for you once in a while.

    I'm 26 due with baby #3 August 25
  • I'll be 20 after the baby comes :)
  • I'm not as young as some of you, but I'm 23, be 24 when the baby comes in early august. No worries, dear you aren't alone!! Plenty of young mamas on here.  :)
  • I'm 19 due around August 22 I'll be 20 in July and I already have a 2 year old that I had at an even younger age
  • I'm 22 and my baby is due August 28th. I'll be 23 when the baby is born. I've been married two years. Thankfully I look older so I haven't had any negative comments yet. You're not alone!
  • Although I'm 29 now, my kids are 5 and 10, and one on the way. I was pregnant at 18 and had my daughter at 19. It was a little tough, sometimes people didn't believe that I was my daughter's mom! But I look at the bright side, I'm having my last at an age where many women start, and my 10 year old will be an awesome help this time around :) I love the way our family is growing, even with the big age gaps.
  • I'm 25 and due on 8/16 with number 6. Had my first at 16. It never really hit me how young I am or look until last September in Vegas. We were in a shop and talking about our girls and the shop owner overheard us and said "You have 5 kids?! How old are you? You look like just a baby, about 18 or 19!" I was like huh what?! I never realized I looked THAT young lol But yeah I started early. Happy I can keep up with them though.

  • I am 18 and am expecting # 2 but I will be 19 on the 23rd.

I'm 22...just graduated college and looking for a post grad job so that I can save up until the baby is born. It's tough not knowing anyone around my age who is pregnant or has kids...but it's been great hearing about all of your stories- it makes me feel less alone!
  • I'm 25 and expecting #2. We got married when I was a few days short of 24. Our daughter was born 9 short months later in May. My friends think I'm crazy to have two so close together so young, but it works for us since I plan on staying home with them for the next 5 or so years and when I go back to my career I'll be young enough to still climb to the level I wish to achieve.
  • FTM, I am 19 and DH is 21. I will be turning 20 a few weeks before bubs is due!
  • I'll be 24 later this month.  I had my first just three days before I turned 23 haha.  I've seen a lot of young moms get uncalled for judgement once they start showing.  People saying it's a shame about teen pregnancies and crap like that.  Just be aware that it might happen and have a witty comeback at the ready ;) haha

  • I consider myself to be a young mom. I'm 25. I am currently pregnant with mine and my husband's 4th baby. We had our first when I was 19, second at 21, third at 23. And now this one I will be 26 and this will be my last one.
  • What's your question?
  • I love seeing all these younger mothers too! I'm 18 years old and tomorrow I will be 8 weeks pregnant. I had a "missed period" appointment last week as they call it. We saw a heartbeat on the ultrasound and I could not be more ecstatic. Me and the father have been engaged for about 6 months and we are very very excited!
  • 22 with my miracle due on August 9th
  • 19 with my first :)
  • I'm 19 with my first :)
  • I got pregnant with my first at 17 and had her at 18. I am 21 now and will have baby #2 when I am 22. I have been with my husband for almost 7 years and still get looks. I am also going to school fill-time and no one really cares :(
  • I consider myself a young FTM mom. I'm 24, DH is 30. We'll be 25 and 31 when the baby is born. I think that being a young mom is what you make it! As long as you understand the importance and honor of being a mother, all should be well. There is no set age to say someone will be a good or not so good mother. Also, I'm the only one of my friends married and having a baby so soon.

    Oh, what's your question?
  • I'm 23 my husband and I got married in August and baby is due August 12th! I was so afraid people would say something about it being so soon but luckily most friends and family are supportive and excited right along with us. My stand on it is that the right time isn't the same for everyone.
  • I'm 24 and turned 23 a month after having my first.
