What's your favorite thing about being pregnant so far?

For me - I am just now able to eat off of my bump when I lay in bed!!  (Isn't laziness a 2nd tri symptom?!)

...and of course seeing the baby on ultrasound and feeling him/her move.

  • Alright ladies, I agree that pregnancy is my least favorite part of the family-building process -  but I was looking/hoping for some positive energy!!  haha

  • Definitely feeling the movement is number 1. I'm also loving planning out their room. I like to sit around too and think of what our LO is going to be like once she gets here. :)
  • My favorite part is how excited and happy all the future grandparents are. I never imagined they'd be so thrilled but it's been a nice surprise.

It's also nice that I don't have to make excuses for ordering my steaks medium-well or hamburgers well done, too. I have always hated rare meat but there's such a thing about "omg you're ruining it with overcooking!!" that I always feel a little self-conscious about disliking the taste of blood in my food. But now? Point to the bump, instant excuse, no questions asked.
  • my favorite thing is FINALLY feeling my baby move! Also the wonderful comments ."WOW you are glowing" i love it hahaha (:
  • Kicks.  And the thought that my baby will be here in the spring.  I am SO excited!
  • I've loved every part so far, mainly because I had a really easy first tri. But I've loved watching my bump grow and realizing that there's actually a growing baby inside me, it still seems surreal sometimes. Also feeling movement has been amazing!
  • I love the movement and how cute DS is with the baby bump (now that he's not sitting on it). :)
  • I like wearing maternity pants and strangers doing nice things for me!

  • Definitely feeling his kicks and flips in there - and he's been giving me some pretty strong kicks already (22 weeks)! Oh and people telling me I'm glowing and looking beautiful doesn't hurt ;) whether or not they really mean it ha!
  • Feeling movement, having an excuse to be eating 24/7, watching my bump grow and when SO kisses and rubs my bump, when we talk about her and plan things for her (LO), comfy maternity clothes, there are tons of things I love about being pregnant!

I will echo a lot of PPs and say the movement and not buttoning pants anymore. After my son was born, I was so reluctant to give up the awesomeness that is maternity jeans. I tried buttoning jeans a couple of times in the last 2 years, but it just made me ragey so I am fully embracing the comfort of slip on jeans!

Edited because I am a spazz

  • I love feeling the kicks! And I feel like my hair is way better, but dreading the hair loss again.

And to everyone who loves maternity jeans, I pretty much exclusively wore jeggings after DS was born and they're virtually the same thing as low panel maternity jeans. I hate pants but lived in them because I could still feel put together but also crawl around and play.

Discovering maternity clothes.  I am never going back.

Ohhh my god yes! I'm at work right now wearing dress pants that are really just glorified leggings.. Soooo comfortable!

Not having to go near the cat litter for 9 months is a plus too!
  • Favorite thing about being pregnant? That it'll all be over in 4ish months. Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely grateful that we get to grow our family, but my immune system has been shot this pregnancy. I'm over all the little colds I've had. My summer pregnancy was much more enjoyable. I know for a fact once this baby is born I'm going to be extremely sad that I'm not pregnant (that's how I felt right after birth last time), but for now I'm a little grouchy lol.

  • I haven't had any really big cravings, but when I said I wanted a sweet tea the other day, my husband jumped up and offered to run out to go pick it up at my favorite place. It was sweet.

Also, just my DH talking about the kind of father he wants to be. We always talked about it before, but it is so much more real when he talks about his son, and how he wants to make sure he teaches him life lessons.
  • I hate to be a wet blanket, but I will say knowing that it will be over in May. Nothing has been particularly pleasurable for me. Well, I take that back. My skin is so clear and fresh looking. That's been pretty awesome. I've got an anterior placenta, which apparently means I will feel movement later. 22 weeks and I can't say I've felt a definitive kick, yet. So unlike PP, I don't have that little joy. I mean, it's not terrible or anything, but it's been a series of challenges: Being tired, getting bad headaches, having to buy new clothes that fit, finding a comfortable sleeping position, etc.
    Me: 38; DH: 41
    DS: Born 5-17-16

  • I have definitely had some rough moments so far... BUT I have still loved all of it. It's crazy to be worried and anxious and nervous and then see your little one moving around in that ultrasound, safe and sound :) - it's beautiful! I haven't felt any movement yet but I can't wait until I do!! That will be amazing!

One of the BEST things for sure is how nice the general public is to me HAHA... I get smiles everywhere I go and people are so polite and friendly and nice! I love it!!

Also.. nursery planning - anyone else loving every moment of it !!?? :)
  • hellogoodbye2  I am surprised to hear you liked being pregnant in the summer better - only because I am always hot and I think I would be miserable and sweaty!
I agree and echo "4 more months!"  My reasoning has to do with the preterm delivery of my twins - so the 4 more months goal is my mantra!  Dec to May felt so much longer than "4 more months!"

  • A few weeks ago I would've said NOTHING lol...I've been pretty miserable all 22 weeks. But now that baby is finally kicking, it makes all the misery worth it. So that's definitely my favorite!
  • Favorite thing about being pregnant... 3rd baby...1st bump! Idk how I carried my first to 40 weeks and 2nd to 39 weeks without ever having a bump is beyond me, but I am so excited to actually have one this time! Not to mention I'm not as sick at all, with my 1st 2 I didn't stop puking until 20+ weeks and ended up dehydrated, in the hospital on every anti nausea meds known to man. This time...nothing. just a little gagging here and there. I can function. And it's awesome :) I finally understand how people can enjoy the process, not just the end result!
  • Always having people give up their seats for me! I don't even have to get to meetings on time anymore (but I still do, unless I discover I have to pee on the way there).

People always offering me food. I think my bump is pretty cute too.
  • The first time around I think i loved the kicks the best. They were (and definitely still are) super fun.

This time around, though, I have to say that getting excited with my son about a new sibling is the best. Also I appreciate the fact that this baby is giving my booty a nice lift and bit of growth. I'm working on squats to keep it lol

    ~~** I Love My Boys <3**~~

  • I'm not going to lie, it's people doing stuff for me and being overly nice. I would never ask people to do work for me, but everyone in my life is telling me to take it easy, you probably shouldn't do that, let me, etc... I don't mind at all! My DH has been so understanding, and I'm really trying not to be lazy, but it's nice being pampered a bit.

@JennyS86 - I always wanted to be pregnant over the holidays, but I'd take a summer pregnancy any day. Cute mat clothes, flowy dresses, swimming, get outside and exercise more...oh and no colds!!

  • I love feeling movement
  • Def the baby movements! And looking forward to all the pure joy and hope of having a newborn!
  • Getting to skip the line at H&M! I finally caved and got some maternity clothes and was allowed to sachet my bump ahead of all the bump-less ladies into big dressing room.

And of course feeling her move. It's like she likes to give me a couple of good night kicks before bed.
