Monday Bitchfest

Re: Monday Bitchfest

  • @rakel88 Blah. Don't. Jaime Eason lifted her whole pregnancy. And she looked fantastic. Just listen to your body.

  • I might lose my shit. Hubs had a teaching inservice day today. He got home early, showered, and went to go hunting. I just want to take a nap since I was up all night with DD. I'm. So. Ducking. Tired.
  • @rakel88 Have you considered looking for a different OB? That advice is ridiculous! Maybe, you know, I shouldn't start powerlifting now but I've always heard that if you do it already, you can continue as long as you're comfortable.

  • @MotherOfDucks oh I'm doing everything I was doing but modifying if something feels like it needs to be modified. I pretty much just got really quiet and in my head said "uhm yea, no." And went on my way.

@joleri23 I have actually. The practice I go to, the OB I see isn't necessarily MY OB so I could essentially see someone different each time. I have another appt with this one on Wednesday but I'm going to ask for a different one for my next one.
But yea, that's the advice I always heard too. And to listen to your body, some things aren't going to feel the same as they did, etc etc. so I was shocked when she said this and talked to my husband after and we both agreed this was ridiculous advice.
  • @Lindsayleigh1989 Be careful what you wish for! You've mentioned your DH is the analytical type so watch out- he'll have a running list of "the rules". It's sweet that he wants to be involved and help though!

It made me really happy he was really into it and I think he will relax as time goes on but yeah I should have known better than to expect him to be so laid back I have already been given said list rules so far ;)

Preach it sister. Everything you complain about your toddler I am in the exact same boat! I feel so bad, but it's hard to make a full meal for DH and DD when I have 0 interest in eating any of it. Lunch lately has consisted of hummus and naan bread. She eats that sh*t up and it requires no cooking. Win win.
  • Went back to work today after two weeks off and all I want is to take a hot bath...Psh I would even settle for luke warm at this point. DH left for a two week work trip today and left me to deal with the trash, which is my worst trigger for gagging. The smell of the scented bag alone puts me over the edge.

Hmmm, I wonder to whom you are referring too.
    Thank God for Raid.

  • Why must people at the deli counter be such effin cu next Tuesday's? I walk up to our deli line behind one person. I'm the only one waiting there for a couple of mins while the person in front of me finishes up. Then walks up this lady who grabs a number and proceeds to stand one foot away from me. The deli clerk looks at me and asks what I want as he hands the bag to first person. This stupid bitch holds her hand up in front of my face yelling at the clerk "ummm I have a ticket!" The clerk tells her I was next and had been waiting and she starts pacing back and forth yelling "well what are the tickets for? Excuse me what are the tickets for then?"

It took everything in me to not tell this woman off, but Vegas means people are literally crazy and I wasn't about to start anything. I just apologized to the clerk and made sure to tell the manager when I left what a good job he was doing in case crazy pants complained about him.

People are so shithouse nuts I can't even deal sometimes!

@born2run911 -haha we literally had naan and apples for lunch! How old is your DD? I feel like such a horrible lazy mom and wife lately but I am really just too tired to care. It sucks cooking when nothing sounds good. I ate a full thing of big league chew today and it was literally the best thing I have had in weeks.
  • @Lindsayleigh1989 I can't wait to hear what he says if you are planning on an epidural.
  • @PinkLady2015 gosh good restraint! It's incredible how rude people are to those in customer service! They seem to think the world should cater to them and no one else.

  • Ed the cat pissed in my one pair of gym sneakers. Can't go to the gym until Friday now. Mild bitchfest, but still annoying.

  • Oh my god this sounds miserable. I'm so not a cuddly sleeper... Thankfully DH isn't either. In recent years we've even started using separate blankets (he likes a thin quilt, I like a thick duvet) and now when we stay at someone else's house it drives me crazy sharing a blanket with him. His shoulders lift them up and leave a gap, and a draft comes in! I like them tucked firmly around my neck
It's really not THAT miserable. Better than sharing the bed with him AND the two dogs, who both insist on sleeping on my side (well, they are/were "my" dogs) and usually end up sleeping on either side of me. Talk about being boxed in. At least I can just push them away...not so much with DH. I try to compromise with the side/legs touching, but it doesn't always work.

I think I'm blocking the same one.

Oh he knows I'm all drugs in that and he gets no say that's done ;)

@thebigoaktree gross! What do you have to do to get the smell out? Just let it dry?

  • @Lindsayleigh1989, there's no getting the smell out with him. His urine is just that bad.

  • @MotherOfDucks What could possibly be harmful about vacuuming?

  • I put in my two weeks at work and one manager decided to go around to EVERY other employee and complain to them about it. He even told a customer and while doing so glared at me. Asshole.
  • @Lindsayleigh1989, there's no getting the smell out with him. His urine is just that bad.

    Oh gosh that's bad...

  • Monday and Tuesday are my weekend. We have two night shifts that have to be covered and three people (including myself) who cover them. I got the first text that guy1 popped his knee out of place and needed me to cover at 10am. I put off answering til 430pm hoping he'd be well enough to do it. Then I grudgingly accept.

Half an hour later, I get a group text from girl2 that she's sick and needs someone to cover her shift. Every mid shift person turned it down and I'm just sitting here mad because I never even had a chance at having the day off with both of them needing off. Meanwhile I worked 12 hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday because no one is willing to work the weekend. I just wanted a bubble bath and some Fallout 4.
  • And the do you boo boo girls, stop it.

    But how would I annoy @ButterMyBiscuit ??
  • @fleurdelakeview are you me? That was my exact night!!! Ugh! Of course it was one of his worst snoring nights too...he isn't always so bad!
  • @DobbysSock I am a firm believer of the separate blanket sleeping! It works great for us and with the snoring my DH has I need to be as comfortable as possible.

We also do the two blankets I have an extra I snuggle in and that way he can be as cool as he wants to be! @AAAG13 has your husband tried breathe right strips or the generic brand they helped mine with snoring a ton!

She is 18 months. Mmm big league chew is amazing. My biggest weakness is candy, like gummies etc. I had a mix bag of candy yesterday, it was pretty much all I ate all day. I feel like I'm such a better mommy not pregnant, I am trying not to let DD develop too many bad eating habits before this nausea subsides. I swear I will one day give her 3 proper meals a day again.
  • @PinkLady2015 ok I spit water out reading jiggle/jingle balls! I will have to do that. Iits more that this is fat not bump he jiggled ;)
