WAYDTGKTFU: just waiting for confirmation of O at the moment

R/R/CS: I had the best weekend with family! The only downside is that my parents keep their house freezing, and my temps definitely reflect that. Being back home last night, my temp was back up in its post-O range this morning, and one more high temp gives me CHs for CD 25.

GTKY: Vacation! I don't know where or when, but DH and I haven't gotten out of town, just us, since our honeymoon three (going on four!) years ago. We have decided that it's going to happen this year!

R/R/CS: I'm a little upset at myself, the last two days I've temped but not at my usual time due to New Years parties and what not. I hope that doesn't give me inaccurate O readings!

GTKY: now that the holidays are over, what's the next big thing (besides getting KU) that you're looking forward to?

I love the holidays but I'm looking forward to my wallet being a little bit fuller again. DH and I are trying to save as much as we can for a house. If all goes well, hopefully that'll be some time this year.

    WAYDTGKFU: Everything

R/R/CS: I'm pretty sure today is O day. I woke up to EWCM (big for me, I usually just have watery but cut back on my crazy high water consumption during FW which seems to have worked) I had a positive OPK this morning too so of course DH isn't in the mood. I'm pretty pissed about it. I know he's feeling sad and lost about our dog, I am too, I guess shifting my focus to TTC felt like a good distraction but he apparently disagrees. He said we can HIO later and we better. Now my CM is already back to watery, just hoping that doesn't effect anything.

GTKY: now that the holidays are over, what's the next big thing (besides getting KU) that you're looking forward to?
We're moving in 2 weeks and have exactly nothing packed so that should keep me busy until then. We also have a 12 day cruised booked for 2/21 so I'm really looking forward to that!

R/R/CS: Well my cat pulled some steak out of the garbage this am. She has a sensitive stomach so now I'm on puke watch.

GTKY: Lets see, I'm looking forward to DH starting his online course so he can make a career change. I'm also looking forward to joining a gym soon. Pretty boring, no big trips or anything like that coming up.
  • Month/Cycle: 6/4

    CD: 17

WAYDTGKFU: pnv bbt prolly starting OPKs soon

R/R/CS: I'm just ready to get to the ovulation part of the cycle. I've only ovulated once since Mirena came out and it was CD31 so I still have a bit of time, but I'm going to try and HIO EOD from CD 20 - 25 and ED 25-31. This will suck cuz my husband works 4pm-1230am, but I really don't wanna miss O due to bad timing.

GTKY: now that the holidays are over, what's the next big thing (besides getting KU) that you're looking forward to?
I am going to a scarf making party next week. This lady has this wooden box full of water and you put drops of different colors of dye in the water to make a design. Then you lay a silk scarf on it to make your own unique scarf. It's pretty neat. This lady is swamped at every single craft fair, so I'm excited to make one without the craft fair crowd.

R/R/CS: my temps have been so wacky this cycle considering no work and holidays. FF gave me crosshairs for cd 10 this morning! I don't believe it because there were no other symptoms, those are going on now. I dropped a couple temps and they went away, but I was angry when they showed up. We had terrible timing if 10 is the case, but again, I don't think it is.

R/R/CS: DH. This morning instead of getting up at 7 and helping me get L, ourselves, and the dogs taken care of for church at 9; he gets up and plays on his laptop for 90 min. Then yells that it's my fault we are going to be late, while L, myself, and the dogs are ready but he isn't.

House hunting! H was issued a social that was already in use, so we have been fighting to get that figured out for about forever. The SSA is finally admitting they messed up, so H has credit!

R/R/CS: I got back home last night and just can't muster the energy to have sex. The jet lag struggle is real as it is everytime and I'm just trying to use energy to not sleep all day. My husband is mad (not overly but I can tell) that I just can't. At least I'm not in fw yet. I feel bad though that he's mad. It's been over 2 weeks
Temping is still being wonky. First experience temping during jet lag so not sure what to expect.

MY MOM IS COMING TO VISIT ME NEXT MONTH! she came to visit when I first moved 5 years ago and I convinced her to come again this year. I'm a total mamas-girl so super excited!!!

@MRSCORKER been thinking about you. You've had a rough week. Try not to be too hard on him or yourself.
@Megzb510 my friend was just telling me about that! It's a new Japanese art trend and she said she wanted to do it with scarfs! I had never heard of it till a few days ago. It sounds really neat. You can also do it with canvas or paper for wall art!

R/R/CS: I feel very in charge with my plan to get pregnant. DH is up for sex, and everything is going smoothly. I will be happy if I can manage to ovulate and pinpoint it,  but a pregnancy would obviously be the best case scenario.

Rant: I never spotted prior to taking Metformin, and I spotted yesterday for no reason. OK...I had random spotting last cycle towards the end, but not on CD 13. It's not O related, because I haven't yet. I hope whatever it is, it is a good thing. Hormones shaking up in my body for the better or something.

GTKY: now that the holidays are over, what's the next big thing (besides getting KU) that you're looking forward to?
Looking forward to my annual ice skating "Wife Swap" on MLK weekend. My DH and his best friend's wife don't like skating so me and the best friend go ice skating, and they go drinking. Then we get back together. Over the years, we've added more people to go ice skating.

R/R/CS: Our great Dane puppy is being so adorable this morning! She is bringing me all of her toys and plopping them in my lap while I'm mobile Bumping. The other dogs are too busy sleeping to play with her. It's really funny watching a 10 week old puppy try to wrestle a Mammoth rope (giant rope toy that probably weighs 15-20 lbs) up the stairs.

WAYDTGKFU:  going to HIO as much as possible this week and start peeing on things.  last cycle O day was CD18 but I don't want to miss it if it's earlier

R/R/CS:  DH isn't going out of town this week!  I have decided that I'm not telling him when it's really important to have sex but I'm wondering if he will start to be suspicious or if he will just think I'm a horn dog.  Even though we agreed to have our 1st together, I'm pretty sure his version of trying is to NTNP.  I don't think he has a clue how scientific we are being LOL

GTKY: now that the holidays are over, what's the next big thing (besides getting KU) that you're looking forward to?

We are going on a Disney World trip in March with our 3 kids who at that time will be 10, 7, and 7  (not twins).  I am way more excited than I thought I would be.  Although if I get pregnant this cycle I would be about 13 or 14 weeks along.  But that would be better than getting pregnant next cycle and being 8 weeks along.  I have a history of morning sickness and I don't expect that to change the next time around.

  • @MRSCORKER This is the same as my house.  I don't exactly have EWCM, but I usually have ovulated by now, so of course, if it could happen any day, then we need to be lining them up!  lol  We skipped yesterday, he promised this morning (but we had to get up for Church) and now he's resting on the couch before we go see his mom.  Sigh.  We shook on it though for tonight! lol  We BD'd a little anyway even though we didn't feel super sexy the month we lost our dog, and we didn't get KTFU anyway, so... it's definitely a tough time right now.  Hang in there. <<awkward internet hugs>>  Packing is definitely a lot of work though, throwing yourselves into that sounds like a great idea ;)

@peachykeen17 oh no!  What brats they can be.  I hope kittie's feeling okay...

But I really want to scream, "WHERE THE F IS THIS BLESSED EGG!!!?!??!" :)

<b>GTKY</b>:  We put our deposit down on a White German Shepherd puppy, so that is exciting!  And DH has a couple big jobs coming up we are going to have to try and juggle between his school schedule starting back up again... and tax time.  lol  No pressure!  I also need to get the holiday splenour cleaned up, do this photo project I didn't manage to do for the family before Christmas, and finish my OSHA online thing... then get the house puppy-proofed! :D  Joy!

    ***question/tmi in R/R/CS***

    Month/Cycle: 7/7

    CD: 1

    WAYDTGKFU: Nothing right now

R/R/CS: So I'm actually happy to be back here finally, last cycle was longer than normal and we had no timing due to DH's SA falling in FW and us both being sick off and on. We saw the RE last month on CD5 and she ordered CD3 testing for me so the wait for that has just felt like forever. That leads me to my question ***possibly tmi*** So yesterday I started what I think I should just consider spotting, it was mainly after a BM in the morning, then when I wiped throughout the day, but nothing was actually getting on the liner I was wearing, or maybe just a very little bit. The only thing throwing me off is that it was red right from the beginning, and I always thought that red bleeding = CD1, but it was really not a lot at all. Normally I wouldn't care much, but I need to have CD3 testing and I need to know which day to go. The RE had told me that if CD3 was going to fall on a Sunday to go ahead and have it done on CD2 because there are basically no labs open on Sundays, so part of me is wondering if I should just go tomorrow on CD2 just in case it's actually CD3 because of the red bleeding yesterday. There is a lab open until 9pm so I could actually go late tomorrow evening which would be almost CD3. Or am I supposed to go in the morning? Does it matter? I'm sure I am way overthinking but I just want to get this right. Any thoughts?

GTKY: now that the holidays are over, what's the next big thing (besides getting KU) that you're looking forward to? House hunting! We are going to start looking in the next couple of months. I'm excited but also nervous because I feel like DH and I may butt heads with our vastly different tastes, lol.

@pretzel2plus1 it seems like a lot of people had temping troubles due to traveling, sleeping in unfamiliar beds, etc. Fx for cross hairs and that the change in temp didn't affect FF's interpretation.

@MRSCORKER I must have missed an earlier post (I haven't been around as much as usual since Christmas) but I'm so sorry about your dog. :( Hope you and your DH are able to find some comfort soon.

@sugarpixxie2 I'm so jealous of your Disney trip! I think your kids will be the perfect ages. We took DS last year, only for one day while we were on vacation in south FL, and he was almost 7. It was pretty much the perfect balance of being old enough to be able to do most things, but still being in awe of the characters and the magical feel of it all. Have fun! We want to get back and spend a whole week.

ETA @Kay6519 good luck on the house! How exciting!!

R/R/CS: I'm sad, ff took crosshairs away after my temp this morning... Ug.. I think I'll just hang out here until hopefully O next cycle. *question* how do you know when you need to temp vaginally? I always thought I was a mouth breather but I figured I would start temping orally, and I didn't see any crazy temp jumps really. I still don't know if I should or not but if anyone could take a look at my chart and let me know if that could be the culprit I would appreciate it. Also, if this month WAS messed up by possible mouth breathing would you still generally see a temp shift after O?

Rave: I appreciate all the advice you all provide to not just me but others on a daily basis. It's funny how often others have questions I wouldn't even think of but being able to follow your conversations and hear about everyone's personal experience comes in handy so often.

R/R/CS: Saw some for-realsies EWCM this morning so I think O might actually be on the way.  If I were to discard all the wacky temps from days when I acted like I were still young enough to treat my body terribly with no consequences, I'd actually have a halfway decent-looking chart.

GTKY: now that the holidays are over, what's the next big thing (besides getting KU) that you're looking forward to? So many good answers so far!!  I wrote this question because all I want to think about is my honeymoon in March.  But also, I'm working on getting a new job, so I'm excited about that.

I also had some light cramps on the left side for a few hours yesterday evening so maybe yesterday was O day which would be a bit earlier than last month. I guess I just need a few more temps to know what's going on. In the mean time, We'll just hio. My DH works 12 hour shifts on and off. This is his third day in a row and weekends are usually rough. After bd last night, I'm not sure he'll be up for two nights in a row. FX crossed that eod is good enough.

GTKY: now that the holidays are over, what's the next big thing (besides getting KU) that you're looking forward to? We don't have a lot going on. My work busy season starts Monday, and I'll spend most of my waking hours at the office.

WAYDTGKFU: BD EOD, PNV, skipping temping for the sake of sanity this month

R/R/CS: Some EWCM today, I usually have at least some for a good 5 days before O. So HIO EOD-ED for the next week.
Had a dream that I went to my gyn appointment Tuesday, and they told me I was already KU. I obviously know that's not going to be possible, because I won't have even Oed by then. So I was sad to wake up from that. I think that dream just shows how much that appointment is on my mind.

GTKY: now that the holidays are over, what's the next big thing (besides getting KU) that you're looking forward to?
We have a vacation to the Virgin Islands in May and I. CANT. WAIT.
We will be doing some island hopping between St. Thomas, St. John, Tortolla, and Jost Van Dyke.

WAYDTGKFU: Lots of tests this month with the RE. Hoping it's helpful.

R/R/CS: We will miss FW this month, so I'm trying to focus on other goals. Organizing, budgeting, sugar detoxing...just taking care of myself and our home.

GTKY: now that the holidays are over, what's the next big thing (besides getting KU) that you're looking forward to? I just planned a big hiking trip for the spring with some girlfriends, that will be really fun.
  • Month/cycle: 7/7

    Waydtgku: everything

    R/R/CS: nothing today

GTKY: we have a family Disney trip in Feb (like my immediate family, with my parents, siblings, and all my siblings kids) followed by a cruise for just the two of us the following week! Can't wait! It's only like 5 more weeks to go :)
  • I gotta say, it's nice to see so many others who have big trips coming up soon and are going ahead with TTC anyway. As much as I'm ready to be a mom, starting now vs. waiting a few months is a decision I second guess sometimes. I keep telling myself I could just as easily not be pregnant and get a stomach flu (as H did on our honeymoon :/ ) and then wish I had that time back.
  • @sugarpixxie2 We are looking at a WDW trip this fall! I kind of want to branch out my Disney experience and go on a Disney cruise, but we think I would die from vomitting... I get severely motion sick.

    Good luck, house hunters!

R/R/CS: pretty sure it's O day, but I didn't feel pain this cycle! I generally feel pain, not sure if it's before/on/after O, but I've usually felt it by now.

GTKY: Also a house hunter this year! We found a small farm we love but it's a manufactured home, which I've never lived in, so it makes me a little anxious. Not sure!
  • Good luck to everyone house hunting this year! And safe travels for everyone going on vacations!

R/R/CS: nothing TTC related today. DH and I slept till 2pm today and it was amazing. Usually our dog doesn't let me sleep past 10am.

GTKY: Don't judge, DH and I are total dorks and we're going to wrestlemania the first week of April and we are so excited.

It's definitely only your decision to make about what is best for you! However, we have planned and been on three really fun trips in the 10 months we have been trying. I'm glad we didn't wait and that we don't worry about planning anything around TTC, because we have no idea how long it will take.

  • @peachykeen17 - yeah that's sort of the effect. Here's a pic from the craft fair of one scarf being pulled out after dying:

@sugarpixxie2 - DH hasn't been told quite yet. He has suggested multiple times that we HIO ED. Ummmmmm...no. My cootch hurts thinking of 30+ days of HIO. We will see how this works. I got so frustrated when I got 2 fake out crosshairs last month and realized our timing sucked / wasn't ideal. I read on the TWW and some ladies have everyday from -5 to +2 and I'm wanting that level of certainty that we did want we could. We'll see what happens cuz I love sleep too.

R/R/CS: CD 1 is the worst but now I have a full cycle of temping under my belt and I know I've ovulated which made me feel relieved. I was afraid that my long cycles were anovulatory.

GTKY: now that the holidays are over, what's the next big thing (besides getting KU) that you're looking forward to? Getting back into beating healthy and working out! Hoping it will take my mind off ttc.

@sldp123    If you didn't have full red flow (need a pad or tampon) it wouldn't be cd1. If the bleeding didn't start until the evening I would count the next day as CD1. From what I've read most REs count anything before 3pm as CD1.

@queendaenerystargarean   I'm not convinced you've O'd yet. It could be an anovulatory cycle or O may still happen. I'm a mouth breather and see a clear temp shift, so it is possible.

  • @LadyMillil thank you for the feedback!!! I guess I'll see what future temps bring.. Or if AF shows then I'll just keep FX for a more predictable cycle ;)
  • @khbear117 I also get motion sick and was very scared to cruise on Carnival last year.  I did not get sick on the cruise but it was bizarre because I could sometimes feel the motion of the boat and it was the same type of motions that make me sick but nope I was good.  Every time I would think about it I had to make myself stop because as you know sometimes it can be a head game... so I just took a deep breath and forgot about it.  But I did puke my brains out on a 23 foot boat deep sea fishing in Mexico.  blah.  I felt better within minutes of being on land.  There is a prescription you  can take with you on a cruise.  If your insurance won't cover it I think it's around $75

  • @khbear117 and @sugarpixxie2 I get hella motion sick on small planes and small boats but cruise ships are so big that I'm fine. I do feel the motion but it doesn't bother me. I'm a little nervous about a possible BFP and morning sickness while cruising but oh well. I'll throw up everything for a sticky bean!
