@khbear117 - That's entirely up to you! I tried to take a cycle off temping while we were TTC, and lasted a few days, missed the window where I would normally see a temperature shift from ovulation, and was clueless as to whether I'd actually ovulated or not, haha. And then when we decided to TTA, I had one cycle where I hadn't started BC yet, but hadn't been temping, and the entire time I was a nervous wreck wondering what was happening with my body. But, that's because I find that temping calms me and keeps me informed on what's happening with my lady bits and things. This isn't the case for everybody; I know I've seen plenty of people say they find it gives them anxiety. If you want, you can always try taking a cycle off and see how it goes for you. You may find that you're more relaxed and can enjoy sex more because you're not thinking about whether your temp is spiking or when it will or if you'll get enough sleep. And, on the opposite side, you could end up finding that it's really something that helps calm you down while TTC.
R/R/CS: I wake up early before my alarm worrying about temping so I have tons of open circles. Lol. Since this is my 1st month temping I'm curious to see if that will jack it up or if I will still be able to see a temp shift. Only time will tell.
GTKY: Mac and cheese! That's bad news for my New Years resolution of course...
@rkstro2 I have tons of open circles too, I find that my temp is best read after the most consecutive hours of sleep rather than at the same time every day. I hate seeing the open circles too but I'm confident in my temps. I think you'll find what works best for you as you keep with it.
@bcooke314 I've been bombarded with pregnancy announcements lately. I guess with the holidays and all it's to be expected. It was the first time it really got to me.
@brambles1 Love your "rant less/rave more" resolution. I want one of those bumper stickers that say "wag more, bark less".
@LINDSEYRVA Super jealous of your Italy trip! I studied abroad in Florence and then had an internship there right after. I also back packed through Italy the year before that. It's my home away from home!
@khbear117 Is your H ready for kids but just not into the TTC process? If so, you might benefit from having a chat and letting him know that you'll do all the TTC "work" and he can just enjoy the increased sexy time. My H is ready to roll but I still don't share too much about the temping/charting/FW business. I just initiate BD when it's time and offer information when he asks. It works only because I have this forum to dump all of my TTC crazy on
@CajunSnowWhite89 I put my PNV away over Christmas to avoid questions from guests. I had them out on the dinner table to remind me to take them after dinner every night. A couple of days ago I realized I forgot to take them back out and hadn't taken them for a week.
WAYD: Everything but not a lot at the moment since surgery is scheduled on O day
RRCS: Just looking forward to next cycle. Lucky # 16, eh?
GTKY: I love shrimp .. and smoked salmon

WAYDTGKFU: almost all the things. Starting OPK in a few days
R/R/CS: Not much here today. I feel like since the 5th month of trying I've really chilled out, which is both good and somewhat depressing. My hopes aren't nearly as high during the WTO period and I'm not symptom spotting or feeling anxious during the TWW. We're still hopeful each month but the excitement for a fresh start with a new cycle has def diminished.
GTKY: What is your favorite food? It's a tie. Homemade enchiladas with the Carlita sauce (from Albertsons) and homemade spicy marina sauce. Yummy!
@MRSCORKER Tell me EVERYTHING about Florence! We are flying through there and spending about 3 days and nights there. The rest of the trip will include 2 nights in 5terre, 2 nights in Siena and 2 nights in Orvieto. I would love to hear your recommendations!

Oh my, where do I start?! I would recommend an afternoon at Piti Pallace and the Boboli Gardens. Not much will be in bloom this time of year but it's a fantastically romantic place to get lost. The food will be divine every where but there's an amazing little place called Acqua Al 2 on Via Della Vigna Vecchia. Seeing The David in person is a religious experience so carve out time for the Galleria dell'Accademia. It literally takes your breath away when you come around the corner. The last time I was there, there was an installation of photographs capturing people's responses to seeing it. In other words, art was created out of people seeing art. It was so meta but that's how astonishing it is to see. The greatest views of the city are from the Piazzale de Michaelangelo or the top of the duomo if you feel like climbing a million stairs and working off some the pasta My biggest recommendation is to not schedule every second of your day and to just get lost in the city. There's is nothing there that isn't worth seeing and no way to see it all so relax, drink some vino, and have an amazing time!

@izza2 Oh the marvels of Poutine! I guess it's a French Canadian thing? French fries with fresh cheese curds and gravy... can also be topped with shredded Montreal smoked meat. You basically just die right there. <img src="https://images.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mapoutine.ca%2Fimages%2Fpoutines%2Fthumbs_420%2Fpoutine_1169.jpg&f=1" alt="Poutine au smoked meat - Montreal Poutine Montral - MaPoutineca">
