@CarrieandRoy - LOL at Thor!! I was tracking and temping when we conceived and I had such bad ovulation pains this cycle. I joked when I ovulated that if this one got fertilized, it would be built like Gronkowski (Patriots tight end). Maybe I'll start calling it baby Gronk but I don't want that to sound creepy lol.
My name is Klarrissa and the DH's name is Bradley. So I have been calling the baby Bradrrissa Jr, the DH hates it so much. I can't help but find amusement for his disdain for the nickname lol
Most discussions about the baby happen around DS. We haven't told him yet, so we refer to the baby as "my condition." Funny how much it changes from the first to the second. DS became the "little pea" at 7 weeks. He's 4 now, and I still call him "sweet pea." Poor little "my condition"
DS #1 was called Tinky. DS #2 was called Bubble. And this one (#3) has been nicknamed 'Water Bear' as that's the size it was compared to an animal just after we found out
DD (3 yrs) named the baby Banana Ferrico (play on our last name). So we all refer to him/her as that.
DD was Bart Scott (Jets football player) because he had just given a hilarious interview exclaiming "CAN'T WAIT!!!" And we couldn't wait to meet her (we were team green so didn't know it was a "her")
I call it beanie and DH affectionately refers to it as "my girl"although we don't know the sex. He's convinced that he did some of his best work the night we conceived so that means it's a girl lol. It will be hilarious if it's a boy
My parents were having dinner at Hooters when I called and told them I was pregnant (they insist they go for the food...?). So now they call my baby Hooter. All. The. Time. I told them that if this baby is a girl, it's going to be real weird if they keep calling her Hooter...
I usually just call it Baby. When I'm sick, my husband calls it my Dark Passenger (Dexter for the win).
The first time I got pregnant, my husband got all excited and said, "we made a thing!" I laughed my ass off because it sounded stupid... but it kinda stuck. A few days later, he texted me saying "we made a thing, our thing, we can mold our thing in our image. I want to go yell at the kitchen that we made a thing!" It was so cute that I saved it. I though since we had a loss with that pregnancy, it would be a painful reminder, but just last night, he put his hand on my lower stomach and said "our thing is in here" so it's still stuck around after all.
I also sometimes refer to the baby by the fruit of the week (so a lime today) or the alternative things from other aps and my husband was excited when it was "a lego man" last week.
We do little G unit, baby G, or tater tot. Both of our last names start with "g" so it has kinda stuck. When we did our family announcement we made ornaments and called it a snowflake but sadly it never stuck.
When we thought it was just one we were calling it "Bubbles" - I had suggested the names Julian and Lucy and DH decided I wanted to name the babies after Trailer Park Boys. Now that we know there are twins, they are Thing 1 and Thing 2.

DS was Flavious, Stepmom named him!
