I just spent the last few hours tidying up the house and catching up on house work so that hubby will be more inclined to follow through with the pinky promise of sexy-time while AF is here.

I have no idea what the "leaders" board on the side bar is for. I don't understand it. What are points? How do we get these points?

So DH's friend got us tickets to see the Lakers/76ers game today in the luxury box/club suite/whatever it's called. I don't want to go, I hate going to LA. I feel bad.

I'm leaving for the airport in 2 hours and won't be back till July. I bought out walmarts stock of $0.88 cheap pregnancy tests. Sorry not sorry to anyone living near my moms Walmart!

I put less rum in the rumcakes I made for my family for Christmas than I did in the ones we kept. I was running short and a run to the grocery on 12/23 sounded like misery. They hadn't had this cake before so I figured they would never know, where as I would.

@PeggyOlsonFTW my husband absolutely knows if he leaves me alone overnight I am ordering movies on his account and the longer he's gone the more I order. He has accepted this and moved forward amicably.

ETA I was so disappointed with the songs and choreography the Bellas used I was actually hoping the other team would win. That last mashup of Light it up/All I do is win was my favorite performance of the whole movie.

@Itsnotyourturn I definitely thought the first one was better, but it was a pretty good sequel. BUT, I haaaated the original song. Blech.

I hate the expression Aunt Flo with an unholy, burning passion. I find it to be a disgusting throwback to a time where women were infantilised and expected to be coy about their bodily functions. The whole concept makes me cringe. So, every time someone (myself included) refers to AF, I read it as Awful Fucker, which is at least somewhat descriptive.

Also, AF is always an 'it', never a 'she' because fully anthropomorphising menses is weird.

Me too! I kind of wonder if that would have been different if they hadn't introduced it as a piece of crap song no one likes during "initiation"?

I change the channel every time Sarah McLachlan's ASPCA commercials come on. I just can't and I love animals.

I also never read intro posts, which is why I never did one. If you guys want to know more about my uninteresting life just let me know.

@MrsDho11 - I totally agree. I'm not a huge fan of the intros anyways cuz so many post one and never say anything again, but I was really irritated by that intro. Why would you get sign up for the bump, post on a "trying to get pregnant" forum and post about how you're in tears about being pregnant?

If anyone wants to find it, I think the title was "new member".

My first fffc since returning from lurking:
I went to bed last night at 9pm. I did watch the midnight Twilight Zone episode before turning in, though.

(Although I suspect I am not alone in this...)
