What does he/she sleep in? Our LO is 11 weeks and is still in his bassinet next to our bed. It's essentially a 3-sided, wooden mini crib that aligns perfectly with the height of our bed. LO has been sleeping in a Moses basket on top of it, and we have recently transitioned him to a mini mattress as he is outgrowing the basket and we eventually want to get him out of his swaddle. Curious though what others use for LOs who sleep in your room once they learn to roll. Our plan was to move LO to his crib around three months, but our house is a bi-level, and our room is upstairs whereas LO's room is downstairs. DH and I just aren't comfortable with him sleeping on another level of the house at this age, so we plan to keep him in our room - perhaps indefinitely. We obviously can't keep him on the bassinet as it only has three sides. We aren't ready for him to sleep in the bed with us yet because we need to upgrade to a king first and we want him to get a little older before that happens. In the meantime, we are debating what to use for sleep. Thinking Pack N Play will be our best bet. I think it would be nearly impossible to move his crib up all those stairs and into our room. Any other items out nowadays other than Pack N Play that might be conducive to our situation?
Re: If your LO sleeps in your room...
Have you thought about a video monitor for the baby's room? I know you said you weren't crazy about having him on another floor, but I love our monitor even for our relatively small apartment. That way you could still see what's going on without having to go to another level.
