December TTC and NTNP

Re: December TTC and NTNP

  • Hello @jsanvig !! I'm 24 (almost 25) and I was in the same boat as you and I couldn't take birth control that had estrogen because of migraines and I was on that exact medicine. I was on birth control for 7-8 years and didn't get any sort of bleeding for the last 2 years. When I stopped the pill in September, I never got a withdrawal bleed or period and had to wait 2+ months before my doctor prescribed me Provera to jump start my period. Now I'm 26 days past that period and still waiting for anything to happen--I'm temping so I know that I haven't even ovulated since then.

However, I never had regular cycles and I also have PCOS. So my experiences could be vastly different due to that. Just thought that I would share my story for you!

  • I initially thought my migraines were due to my period but once they started coming at random times I talked to my OB and she became concerned due to the other symptoms I had with the migraines. I've had them while on or off BC and have been on many different types of BC as well. I guess I'll have to wait and see haha. Thanks for the feed back though! @mokay19 I've always had normal cycles on and off BC but since I haven't had a period in a long time  I hope I get back to normal relatively soon. Doc said it should take about 4-6 weeks. Let the adventures begin!
