@dshannah This drives me crazy - I haven't found out yet, but anytime someone tells me they have a feeling about it or their gut is telling them it's a boy/girl, I just shrug and say, "well there are only two options, so anyone who guesses either way has a pretty good chance of randomly guessing the right one." Because it's CREEPY and WEIRD when people tell you that they know more about the fetus growing inside of you than you do, and when they guess correctly, the fact that it was a random guess with high probabilities of being right should be shoved down their throats, with no room for them to think that they in any way had any insights into what's going on with your baby. Like I said... this drives me crazy.
And so much *this*!!!! SIL thinks she's some sort of child-magnet Nature Goddess, and when I asked her to stop talking directly to baby because it made me feel like an incubator, she asked how she was supposed to talk to him. I was like, "Tell me and I'll take a message." But really, I want to be like: "Don't talk to my baby!!!!!" I think I might turn out to be a possessive mama...
Girl!!! Found out this morning! Weird how recently everyone has been pushing me to tell them what I thought it was going to be - and I kept saying I had no idea, but as soon as we found out girl, I was really surprised and realized I had been thinking boy! Probably because initially I thought girl, but don't always trust my intuition, so convinced myself that if I thought girl, it probably meant boy, and got myself sure that it was a boy. The tech zoomed in on the privates and gave us the chance to announce it ourselves by saying, "It's... a... ..." and I was like, "I have no idea what that is!" Mad props to ultrasound techs, it's insane how easily they find organs and fingers and toes in the middle of all that blobby greyness!
And saw that it's pretty much not updated at all with sex. Maybe people aren't into it since we have that poll going, but still excited about finding out about the gender so it was fun to find one more place to post about it!
It's baby boy #3 for us! I'm getting pretty good at recognizing a baby boy in an ultrasound lol we opened out envelope last night at dinner and we're having a party to tell everyone else on Sunday! It'll be fun, especially since literally EVERYONE had told me "there's no way this one isn't a girl!" I can't wait!
We found out on Dec 28th that IT'S A BOY! We are so, so excited!!! Both of us really are hoping for a healthy baby no matter what - of course - but secretly I was hoping for a little boy!! I'm a proud "Crazy Cat Lady", with a love for my two tuxedo boys, and so I shared this picture on Facebook/Instagram with the caption ... "The kitties are so excited that IT'S A BOY!" We actually planned on trying to do some kind of selfie with me and my hubs with the balloons... but I was having one of those days and hated everything that had my face in it! HAHA!!
Another girl here. A little bummed but not a big deal. I know DH would like a boy eventually and I'm not so sure I want a third child. So we were both hoping for a boy this time. Not to mention our DD has the one and only girl name we could agree on. lol. But we now need zero new clothes, blankets, etc. And DD is thrilled!

Double posting from appointment thread. Our doctor told us it was a boy 4 weeks ago. Learned today it was a girl. The sex of the baby never mattered to us, but holy crap, can we get it right?!
NT Scan (~13/14 Weeks): The tech
said it's still so early and to not hold her to it, but it looks like a
boy. When I asked if it made it more like 60/40, she said no more like
70/30 percent chance. We still kept calling the baby an it since we
weren't sure. It was fun to have a guess though.
Boutique Scan
(15 Weeks): I know these are controversial, but we went to visit my
family for Thanksgiving. Since my mom can't go to any of my
appointments, I thought it would be fun to surprise her with an
ultrasound and to have her listen to the heartbeat. At 15 weeks they'll
also tell you sex, so we let them. It very clearly looked like a girl.
We even googled 15 week female ultrasounds, and yep. Looked exactly like
all of them.
Regular Appointment (17 Weeks): Our doctor told us
that he can tell us the sex. He put the color of the sex in an ornament
and wrapped it for us to open on Christmas. On Christmas Eve we decided
to just open it since we "knew" it was a girl. Opened the box and saw
blue confetti and a blue ornament. The ultrasound had my name on it with
what looked like a penis, but it didn't have the typical two legs with
something in between view. It was just an appendage. But hey, it was my
doctor! We started crying tears of joy and amazement. We were having a
boy! So like anyone would do, we posted it on FB and emailed our
families.
Anatomy Scan (21 Weeks): "Do you want to know the
sex?" "Oh, we already know - the doctor told us it's a boy!" "Let's take
a look. He told you it was a boy?" My husband and I are both looking at
the screen seeing the same exact image from the boutique scan. "This is
definitely a girl." Husband - "Like 70% change a girl, could be a boy?"
"Uh no, like 110%, this baby is a girl."
I give up. 19 more weeks...
This will be me post baby. It's like instead of a piggy bank, I'm keeping a mental wine bank of what I am owed post-birth.
Edit: I just looked at the boy ultrasound. My name is actually not on it - I wonder if they mixed mine up with someone else's?
It's a GIRL! We would have been happy with either, but were still hoping for a girl. DH especially, and my in-laws are soooo excited to have a lil girl to spoil
Kit&Cat thats the cutest announcement ever! How did you get them both to look at the camera so purrrfectly (see what I did there?) Since you are a cat lady, here is my girl announcing a baby is on the way. I am feeling a cat gif party in our near future!

Feel the need for a disclaimer: I am not devestated. I am not upset. I'm just a little "eh, a boy would have been nice but no biggie." It just means there will have to be a decision in a year or so over if we are going to try again. Don't want anyone thinking I am truly upset or anything.

Had an 18-week Level II ultrasound last week and we are having a baby boy (he didn't uncross his legs, but we knew via blood test and the sonographer eventually caught his wee-wee. Haha).
Just found out this morning that we're having a girl! We are so excited, but it figures that we have a harder time agreeing on girls' names than boys'.
It's a little girl! Our tech said she's 90% sure but the baby wasn't fully cooperating so we have to go back in two weeks for another ultrasound to get some more measurements and they'll double check the sex then but is pretty confident it's a girl

I have updated the above spreadsheet through to this post. Now there are a whole bunch of new user names that I do not have due dates listed for. If you would like to go take a look and update your user that would be AWESOME, otherwise it will just stay listed as ??
As of right now GIRLS are winning
I was thinking about going through all the ones I am missing and searching each persons posts, but that's a lot of people and it may not happen, haha.
