I keep laughing at everyone going on a diet for the new year. The nice thing about being pregnant through to spring? I'm not making any weight loss goals until after baby is born. Until then, I'll eat the occasional donut slowly in front of the people I know who will fail their diets in the first month.

These are the same people who ruin working out for the people who actually do it regularly... Like get out of my way, I've been paying to use this treadmill for two years!
@Knottie9983816 If I knew that any of them were actually serious, I'd encourage them and leave them be. Unfortunately, most of them will only do something for a month or two and then go back to their old ways... Then complain at the end of the year about their weight. My dad does this every year and he gets ridiculously grumpy after Christmas. It's really sad.
Anyone who has a snoogle pregnancy pillow ever wake up in the middle of the night to pee and have to untangle themselves from the pillow in a hurry? Lol this keeps happening to me and I end up trashing around and feeling trapped! Scares the heck out of my husband and my dog!

I don't have that, but I have a similar problem. I have a queen size blanket, which would normally be fine, but my fiancé and I don't share blankets so I get the queen sized blanket all to myself on my half of the bed. It gets incredibly irritating waking up in the middle of the night and trying to get out of bed without getting tangled in it.
I am currently stalking the Dec 2015 board and reading their birth stories as they pop. Possibly my new favorite past time. I may go back through the last year and read all of their birth stories (the actual birth story board doesn't have as many). Already done with Nov 2015.

I'm currently waiting for the J16 babies to pop as well lol. Love their labor watch thread!

I have the same problem with the Boppy pillow. I sort or rock backwards and then launch myself forward over the pillow.
My best friend just had her little girl. 9 lbs 3 oz, 2 weeks past her due date and so incredibly cute. I held her and got a whole new level of baby fever. I cant wait for my little man to get here.
Why is pregnancy so LONG? My nursery is not even close to ready, but if I could choose to birth a happy, healthy boy tomorrow, I definitely would. I'm due at the very end of April, April 30th (sometimes they tell me May 1st)... And it feels like an eternity away.
I posted these in my ticker change thread, but thought I'd post it here too cause I am already an overly proud mom and these pics are wayyyyyy too cute in my own biased opinion.
A few pics from our elective US yesterday at 26 weeks... Baby boy is now head down, and literally folder in half!!! So adorable!
So for the first time today I had a hard time lady-scaping . I absolutely could not see part of my vagina while in the shower so I let Jesus take the wheel and shaved blindly. From what I can tell it's not too shabby and this time of year I don't really care anyway but I was way overdue in the maintenance department.
I also barely managed to paint my toenails but I somehow made that work by sitting on the floor and having my back against the wall.
@thaisac1 so adorable! I am really questioning whether we should have an elective scan at 28 weeks or not. DH has not been with me to a single scan so I think he'd really appreciate it.
@jonesl12 ugh, don't remind me. Last time I tried I was able to use the mirror to navigate but I completely gave up today as I didn't have the low mirror to use. The struggle is real!
@elasticheart13, I've been debating an elective scan as well (DH was at anatomy scan, so I don't really have a good reason...just kind of want to). But with all the other bills we're anticipating - anatomy scan came in at $500 AFTER insurance!!! - I just don't think we can justify it
@jonesl12 at this point I'm just giving it the old college try. DH promised to help long before I got pregnant but I just can't bring myself to ask TBH, I only clean up any more when the hair gets long enough to bother me. If I can't see it, I don't care.
@thaisac1 I always thought 3D u/s were creepy...until I saw mine, now I look at it every time I look at my phone! Can't wait to meet these precious babies for real!
I'm so sick and tired of people saying, "You look tired." FOR THE SECOND DAY IN A ROW, the same coworker has made that comment to me. That's even with a full night's sleep. I guess I need to start investing in some makeup coz I'm so sick of this shit. Or maybe there's a way I can tell them to STFU about my looks without sounding like a dick. Last time someone said that to me I rolled my eyes and said, "Gee, thanks a lot" and they got all butthurt and started talking about me behind my back and then other coworkers came up to me and said I looked tired out of spite. I really hate this place sometimes.

Yes, shaving my legs is getting harder by the week too!

@elasticheart13 may I just suggest "Just do it"? Because I have an ultrasound background I am capable of comprehending the medically indicated US, but DH doesn't... So for him, the elective US is the best thing in the world!!! It becomes real for him at that moment. We have had 2, at 17 and 26 weeks , and he is already asking me when to do the next one. Lol. I'd say it is worth the investment.
My husband bought me a pregnancy pillow yesterday and I slept like a queen last night for the first time in weeks! I don't know if it was a coincidence but it felt so good to sleep til 8:45!!!

Jealous I've had a pillow since nearly the beginning and it is no help in longer sleeping. I'm certainly more comfortable with than without, but I'm UP all the time. Yet just now I couldn't keep myself from continuously nodding off during the documentary series DH are taken by and tried to watch a few episodes during DDs naptime...but as soon as we turn it off I can't fall back asleep! Ugh. I bet I don't see midnight tonight...

Ughh. I work out before work at like 5:45 every morning, and I'm going to be SUPER pissed if the "New Year's Resolution" crowd effs up my gym routine.

Nov siggy challenge: animals eating Thanksgiving food
So my husband decided to go for this job which will require us to move to the DC area... and will more than double his salary, so that I can stay at home with the boys. we're just basically waiting for the offer at this point, and I can't stand it! I'm afraid and sort of don' want to move, but I'm also excited for the opportunity.
What's going to really suck is going back to work until April, especially if my husband has to move in February or March. Ugh! I have had the best Christmas break with my little man and I do not want to go back

Just wanted to let you lovely ladies know about the 50% off Cold Stone Creamery discount for us preggos! You must be visibly showing, but other than that you should be good to go. Enjoy your dairy deliciousness!!
@pinottoparenthood DH may be starting a new job sometime soon that pays 3X as much as what he makes now, which would mean I could stay home with the boys. I figured that I would stay working for a while to help save up for a house, but DH now wants me to quit my job after my maternity leave is over if he gets it... I'm torn. I would love to be a SAHM, but I would also like to have that extra money for paying of debt and saving for a down payment on a house... I would love to keep working until I'm done with maternity leave for baby #3 (which is about 4 years down the road), but DH doesn't think we could find affordable childcare for both boys.
Take that extra money and put it away for a family vacation. It will suck working until LO comes, but make the most of it.
Also, boo to moving while pregnant. We're moving in the next three months and I hate the idea.
Guys...my neighbor is awesome. I mentioned to her that we had no plans tonight because of DD and that I can't even toast the new year from home. She just brought over a basket full of fresh zucchini, squash, wild rice, jumbo shrimp, lobster tails, sparkling apple cider, chocolate marble cheesecake, plus all the seasonings to cook up the seafood and veggies! What was looking like any other night now has the potential for a little romance with my man to ring in the baby year!! I just have to brag on how amazing my neighbor is
One hour left to midnight over here, just wanted to wish you amazing ladies a happy new year and may this coming year be full of healthy babies, joy and happiness for us all! I feel very blessed for getting to know you awesome girls!!

This is why I get waxed! I can't even imagine trying to bend down and get in those pesky crevices.

Re: **The Everything Random Thread for April Mamas**
I just wanted to let you guys know how AWESOME this maternity top is. The material is soft, stretchy, and super well made.
I've gotten a few tops from different places and this one takes the cake. They have other colors too I think. Plus it's 20$ usually they are 45$. .

In some pics it looks like he has 6 toes, but it's an artifact - we have other pics and counted 5. Lol
