What's New: Ultrasound tomorrow!! Anxiety through the roof. My 12W us this summer was when we discovered my MMC.

Rants/Raves/Symproms: Still super nauseous, I've been taking diclegis which is a life saver but I forgot to take it today and have been miserable at work.

GTKY (If you want): What are your new year's plans? Announcing! (If my US goes well). Hopefully heading downtown to do one of the many different new years events they have here in key west, but lately I haven't been able to stay awake past 9pm lol.

    *Edited because spelling is hard.

  • @MamaBish ugh I'm with you on people trying to keep us positive. All I hear is "you're fine", "everythings going to be fine" "just calm down". I appreciate the gesture of trying to keep me happy, but everyone said "everything is fine" last time.... and it wasn't... bleh
  • 9+2 .... 2 days away from my loss date.

What's new: nothing...had an emotional breakdown today with it being one week till my appt. Need to listen to my gut more that says everything is fine and we will see a 10w baby next week.

Rants: see above..also just trying to enjoy my Christmas break without wishing it away. I bought a doppler and my friend is going to try it Friday.

Well, just waiting on those lovely CVS results, as of right now. I don't have another OB appointment until the end of January. Nervous having such a big gap in appointments, but I'm sure the time will fly.

    Rants/Raves/Symptoms:
I feel you all with being annoyed by people's reactions. I can't say I have too many of those "Everything's PERFECT!" people, but I have people that don't seem to know what to say and then my one negative nancy friend. I'm not sure there's a response I would love, to be honest. It's hard to accept anyone's reaction when they've never been through the losses. I also haven't openly told too many people, so I'm sure I'll want to rant even more once more people know!

@mamabish "No, you don't know. STFU!" Perfect response.

GTKY (If you want): What are your new year's plans?
For NYE we're going to some friends' house with some other couples. They live about 45 minutes away. None of these people know, so that should be interesting. My plan is to say I'm the DD....we have to get home to our dogs. And it's a holiday, so I don't even want to chance the drinking limits. I'm convinced they think I've gotten a DUI and am too embarrassed to tell them all, LOL!

What's New: Our next appointment is scheduled for 11 weeks. So, a week from Friday! I can't wait to hear baby's heart beat and calm my nerves for a couple of days. Something new that happened to me is yesterday I threw up (at work) and some came out my nose! It was the weirdest and yuckiest thing. I went home afterwards.

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I get so nervous because I have symptoms for a little while and then they go away for a day or a half a day. Not great for this nervous chica! I really want to tell my mom and sister but my boyfriend isn't ready yet. We had our loss at 16 weeks and it's hard for him to get excited. He doesn't like to talk about baby plans yet.

GTKY (If you want): What are your new year's plans?  A nice quiet dinner. Then out to my mom's house for appetizers, movies, and games. I'm going to seriously try to stay up until midnight but doubt that will happen!
Mommy to an angel baby and a sweet little girl Earth side.
  • Status Update: 10 weeks 1 day

What's New: Appointments, testing, milestones, etc. Next appointment is 1 week. Hopefully will have the Harmony tests done that day.

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: still have little cramps, have not have spotting in days now (knocking on wood as I type) still nauseous all the time! And exhausted!

GTKY (If you want): What are your new year's plans. I have a friend her daughter coming for a visit and staying the weekend. They are not company which is awesome and means I don't have to entertain! Then we are going to another friends house NYE which I am regretting because her DS is a little jerk and my DS is not going to be happy! But I was craving friends and made the plans. Now all I want is to be home in PJ'S!

Nothing much new. Starting to feel huge. First trimester screen is next Thursday and I can't wait! Once I see baby again I will feel a lot more comfortable with this pregnancy

Symptom wise I'm doing pretty good. Ms is about gone. Indigestion and insomnia have set in though. Just glad my blood pressure has stayed down so far. Would love to make it the whole pregnancy that way but I doubt that will happen. It's slowly been rising, but nothing to warrant meds yet.

For New Years we are hanging at my parents and having Chinese takeout and sushi...and I can't wait!!!
  • Status update: 13 weeks

    What's new:
Got my first trimester screening on the 31st. Really excited and anxious for the ultrasound. It's been four weeks since my last one and I am very much ready for the reassurance that everything is okay. I've been doing really well with not freaking myself out but as per usual with the appointment so close I'm a nervous wreck. I wish I could go right now, haha

    Symptoms:
Still have the nausea but mostly if I'm hungry. I'm calling the dry heaves my hunger heaves. Also started waking up with headaches but thankfully they aren't too bad, normally gone by the time I've walked my two dogs.

    NYE Plans:
With the u/s that day I'm too nervous to make plans. The gathering I wanted to go to is out of town and I'd have to make arrangements for the hounds so that's not going to happen.

Hey ladies. I've been a little MIA lately due to the holidays. I had my 10 week scan yesterday and everything looked great measured 10w4d.

So I need some advice.... My husband and I got food poisoning last night from Hawaiian pizza. He hasn't thrown up but he's nauseous, I on the other hand was throwing up all night long and then again this evening. I called my doctor and he said that if I don't have a fever (I don't) then it needs to run its course and hopefully it's just 24 hours. He said the biggest worry is dehydration. Water and food aren't staying down too well but I've been sipping on pedialyte all day and that seems to stay down. Has this happened to any of you while pregnant? Any tips? I'm just hoping baby is hanging in there with me even though I haven't been able to eat much today.
  • @tennisbabymama I think as long as you can keep some liquid down, that's a good sign. Just keep sipping and sipping.

Fx for everybody to have great appointments! It looks like we have a lot tomorrow.

    Status update: 12w0d

Appointments etc: We have an u/s tomorrow. It will be the first one that DH gets to go to.

Rants/raves/symptoms : i'm basically freaking out because I had the harmony test drawn on the 17th and still don't have my results. I know that they were missing some paperwork and had to send it back out on the 21st, but my mind is getting into a bad place where I feel that they have bad results and they're waiting to tell me tomorrow. Maybe it's just PGAL mind?

GTKY: Well, we wanted to go out to dinner but since I didn't get around to trying to make a reservation until today, everything seems booked up. Hopefully we can get into my favorite Mexican restaurant.

Hey girl. I was told it takes 10 days to get the results back. Maybe they just don't have them yet? Especially if they had to send it back out that's a strong possibility.

Especially with the holidays, it probably takes longer.

  • @BostonBaby1 let us know how your appointment goes today! I really wouldn't be surprised if they didn't have them yet. It took my SIL over 2 weeks to get hers.

  • Status Update: 10w 4d

What's New: Appointments, testing, milestones, etc.

First appointment with my OB on Monday! I'll also having my free cell DNA done that day. Not sure which one they offer though so I'll find that out as well.

Rants/Raves/symptoms: I hate to even say this because I know others are so sick but I feel wonderful. Other than being tiered I've really been feeling great. Nausea stopped around 9.5 weeks so I think I got pretty damn lucky with avoiding MS. Of course....this freaks me out a little.

GTKY (If you want): What are your new year's plans?

Family party but I may end up staying home. DH will have to work and I am getting tiered of celebrating holidays without him. If I stay home I may get to see him around midnight when he comes home so I'm thinking I'll skip the party and just watch movies while I wait for him. I'm tiered of being the sober girl at the party without my husband!
  • That's awesome news @BostonBaby1!!
  • Good to hear, @BostonBaby1!!! The waiting is hard, but it's got to be a little better going into it with great results! :)
  • Status Update: Weeks+Days 9 Weeks/6 Days.  Almost double digits!

What's New: Appointments, testing, milestones, etc.  Ultrasound coming up in 2 weeks.  It will be my third; I'm excited and nervous.

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: My dry heaving has been upgraded to actually getting sick.  Yay.  I also have this rancid taste in my mouth that's killing me.

GTKY (If you want): What are your new year's plans? My hubby works nights and will be going in to work super early New Year's Day.  My best friend is coming over and we are playing video games and eating pizza until midnight - that is, if I can make it  ;).

I had my OB follow up today, she tried the Doppler saying she wasn't sure she would hear anything and we got a nice 170bpm heartbeat! Sound like a little train!

Rants/Raves/: I've been super sick since Christmas, thanks to an uncle who wouldn't stay home even if he was sick. OB sent me to urgent care because I was running a low grade fever + immunosuppressive meds and turns out I have a bronchitis... It's not super great with the nausea....
GTKY (If you want): What are your new year's plans?
Taking it easy, don't think I'll have the energy to go to the fireworks :(

  • @BostonBaby1 so happy to hear you got your good results today!!!!!

I'm currently in my two week wait for my scan after leaving the RE. One the first week was over it seemed to be easier for me. I'm breezing through this week now almost stress free. Hopefully the same goes for you.

What's New: Appointments, testing, milestones, etc.
Not much at the moment... our next appointment is on January 13th and within the last few days, I've been freaking out a little bit that we might not hear a heartbeat. I think this is because I told my family over Christmas (and that's what I did last time before I found out about our MMC). I'm trying to reassure myself that I don't know anything and that symptoms are naturally coming and going now because the placenta is taking over but I'm really ready to go in and hear that heartbeat!

Rants/Raves: Rant - I was gone for a week and my husband did no housework beyond running the dishwasher and cleaning the cat boxes. I literally cried when I came back and saw how dirty our bathroom is. I'm now debating on spending our Christmas money on a maid.

GTKY (If you want): What are your new year's plans? Nothing. My husband has to work (always on NYE) and most of my friends have already made plans with their families. I will be spending my evening at home with the cats.

  • @mrsmommya Hope you get through today with minimal stress, today is certainly a tough milestone.

One hour till my ultrasound. My DH is coming for the first time this pregnancy, which is nice. My anxiety is sky high right now.

Here's to great scans and a happy new year!
  • Status Update: 12w4d

What's New: Appointments, testing, milestones, etc: We got the results of our harmony test back last week and found out we're having a girl, and that she's low risk. So last week was an exciting week of great news!  Next appointment is next Thursday, just before 14 weeks. We also just enrolled in a day care, which is exciting, but daunting considering the cost!  It's amazing how many of them are already full for infant care in Oct next year.

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Feeling pretty good for the most part!

GTKY (If you want): What are your new year's plans?  We're going to order a pepperoni and cream cheese pizza and I'm genuinely excited about it. *sigh* It's the little things... We'll see if I make it until midnight!
  • I really suck at doing these check in's but I'm going to get better!

    Status Update: 14+1

What's new: I'm in the 2nd trimester!! I'm so excited to be this far and I thought once I hit this that the fear and anxiety would ease up but they are still going full force!

Rants/Raves/Symproms: the 2nd trimester awesomeness is a lie. Then of course I have HG so I really wasn't expecting much :)

GTKY (If you want): What are your new year's plans?
My husband works until 10:30 so I don't really have plans... Probably sleeping and maybe drinking some sparkling cider at midnight if I make it that far!
  • @LifeofLauren2 Hi! A little late to the game here but wanted to let you know I'm 10w today and I am the same as you - symptoms on and off. Some nausea, then none, then a ton, then none...It made me feel better to see your post so I hope this makes you feel better :) Sending you good wishes!
  • Yay for those who had good appointments!!!

    @msuzannah Yay for 2nd trimester!!!
