My little guy just turned 13 weeks old yesterday..how much are your babies sleeping in a 24 hour period? My little Guy still seems to sleep alot during day is that normal?

Re: 13 week old(3months) how much do they sleep

  • My girl sleeps 8pm until 5-6 am up until 7 then sleeps until 10. Up until 11, sleeps until 3. Up until 4, sleeps until 7 up until 8 and repeat lol

Yup mine sleeps a lot like above poster. Only about 5 awake periods (5 bottles a day) of 1-1.5 hours each. The rest is napping and he sleeps 8-10 hours at night.
  • My baby is 14 weeks and only naps in the day for about 45 minutes every 1.5-2 hours. Then at night will sleep from 8 for about 8 hours then have a bottle and go down for another 3
  • My guy sleeps from 10pm-3am. Feeds then sleeps until 5:30am or 6. Then eats and sleeps until 9am. He will typically go down for a nap for about two hours mid day, and then another one around seven. He doesn't like sleeping during the day too much, and try's to stay up at night when his dad is home for a little socialization. If I drive somewhere or go out he sleeps more, if people come over he sleeps less.
  • Noah sleeps 12 hours with 1 bottle inbetween at night and during the day he doesn't sleep much anymore. He's started taking 15-30 min naps here and there but never really a good 2 hour nap
  • My LO goes to bed about 10:30 and sleeps until 6:30 or so with 1-2 night bottles. Then he is asleep about 45 m every two hours until the cycle repeats. I would gladly take a longer overnight and nap sleeps. He still gets mad if put down during naps.

  • Mason is 15 weeks and hardly naps during the day, on a good day he will take a half an hour nap. At night he is an angel who sleeps 8-12 hours. So, not really mad about the no naps.
  • As a rule of thumb, at 13 weeks LO should be between 11-15 hrs of sleep per day.
  • Our LO is 14 weeks and she STTN from 10p-8a, naps from about 930-1030, 12-130, 3-4, then 6-8. Those times are loose, sometimes she'll have a long nap, sometimes 30-45 minutes. But there's definitely a loose pattern during the day. However, she still won't nap if I put her down, even if I swaddle and follow a routine similar to bedtime. So I'm stuck parked on the couch or in the recliner for her naps. I really need to work on that, but I keep putting it off!

This is us exactly. Even the parking on the couch all day.
  • At that age my baby was sleeping 8:30 p.m.-6 a.m. (waking once to feed and sometimes a few other times needing to be soothed back to sleep), then would take a 45 minute to an hour nap every 1.5 hours during the day. Then he was awake from 5 p.m. until bedtime at 8:30 p.m. He has never taken long naps though (unless being held) and has slept less than the average baby since birth (he's been very active since he was born).
  • My baby is 16 weeks and sleeps about 13-15 hours a day. I have an app where I log his sleep and i was surprised that he still sleeps so much! His wake window is only an hour and 15 minutes. I thought he'd have a longer wake period at this age.
  • Don't hate me... My son sleeps from 8:30pm to around 8-8:30am. He doesn't take long naps during the day. Usually 20 mins to the occasional 90 min nap.
