Anyone else revealing the sex this holiday season? H and I worked hard to make these hidden blue cake balls that we plan on having the whole fam eat simultaneously tonight! It's a boy!

He just would not move his little hands from covering his mouth so we have to go back in 2 weeks to try to get a couple more pics of the nose, lips and heart. But with 4 chambers present and all else measuring perfectly, we are happy!!

  • @laurenmdrn16 congrats on the girl! I know your son was wanting a sister and seemed so sweet about it, I really wanted him to get his wish!
    *Siggy Warning*
    Lilypie Second Birthday tickers

  • We're having a boy too!! And just as your little guy wouldn't move his hands, ours wouldn't either! We have to go back to see the same 3 things you have to! Just another reason to see him again!! Congrats!

I wrapped up these pink shoes for DH's grandma to open in from I everyone. SIL started crying (from happiness) and everyone was exclaiming "Mädchen! Mädchen!" (Girl in German) It was so exciting until they found out the name.

We don't know if baby is boy or girl yet but we did share our name choices over the holidays.
Hopefully it will make you feel better to know that with DS my parents really tried to talk us out of the name (Felix). They aren't in love with our choices this time around either. But, we loved and chose the name Felix and feel the same about these names. Haters gonna hate but once the baby is here no one cares. And we get a lot of compliments on the name Felix.

This is exactly why DH and I decided not to share or discuss any of our possible names. They're just gonna found out when they meet him! That being said, we're really struggling with boy names. Our current front runners are Henry and Samuel. I like Henry a lot, but worry that it doesn't fit adolescent/young adult years? I dunno. So lost!
  • @artteacher19 I went to college with a Henry! I'm not sure if that's what you meant by young adult but it worked really well for him

Now I need to know the name...

Same... Honestly though I half expect a not so good reaction for our name choice too and ours isn't even bad. At least we don't think so.

    Robin Amelia

It's tough cookies for them that they don't like it. Robin was my mothers name and everyone on my side absolutely loves the idea.

I didn't even want to say anything especially with it being filmed by my FIL but my DH loves the name so he spilled the beans. Oh well.

The problem is that it is seen mainly as a boys name here and tbh I'm not crazy about how Germans pronounce it (Row-bean).

SIL told the great grandpa that if he didn't like it he could just call her Amelia. I didn't say anything at the time but was thinking "Nope! Not how it works!!" At least they will have some time to get used to the idea.

Aww. Well who cares what they think. Personally I think it's a great name and it has meaning so it makes it even better, so poo on whatever anyone else thinks.

We picked Clara Noelle for ours. Both of my nieces have names that are pretty popular (think top 10 list) - which while not so bad is not our style at all. So we already know we're going to get crap for the choice about why we didn't pick something more popular or common. We both love the name we chose so DH already said he's already prepared to tell people that it's a good thing the name choice wasn't up to them. :)
  • @dsmith211 I love Clara! Clara Noelle has a very Christmassy feeling to me. I think it's sweet.
  • DH and I announced with balloons. We got two that said, "baby boy" and out them in Christmas gift bags for the in laws to open. They were so excited! We got videos of both. :) The pictures are below.
