4 months old wearing 9 month clothing?

So my kid came a month early. Today he turns 4 months old. I had to change is dresser out. Nothing under 6-9 months in size fits him anymore. The 6-9 months clothes are tight. 9 months fits him pretty good. This seems crazy to me. He has his next shots and check up on the 7th- and they'll weigh him and tell me where he is percentile wise. Anyone else's kid wearing clothes this big? Is this normal? (First time mom here).

My baby is 14 weeks and he's wearing 6-9 month clothing and even some 12 month stuff. Last weigh in on home scale had him at 18.5 pounds. He's big but he's cute! Your baby is also adorable! It's probably just genetics, no big deal.

My son wears 6 month and 6-9 month clothing but he can only wear 9 month sleepers. This picture is a 9 month sleeper and I can't believe how well it fits. He's been like this for 3 weeks and he won't be 4 months until the 3rd! I think it's normal but in no way did I expect him to be growing at this speed. His last month visit he was in the 98th percentile for head, weight and height. When he was born he was so itty bitty and it makes me sad how much he's grown!

Same here! I think it's pretty normal. My LO was wearing 6 month clothes at 2 months old. He's creeping up on 4 months old and wears 6-9 month clothes as the smallest size. I'm a FTM, and wasn't ready for it either.

My daughter will be 4 months on the 4th and has been wearing 12 month stuff for about 2 weeks and even some of that is getting small. Still EBF. Will take a bottle only when I'm at work

My LO is 17 weeks and depending on the brand, many 9 month outfits are getting too small. He has been wearing some 12 month stuff for a few weeks now.

I'm a FTM but was prepared for all the growth. His cousin ( SO's nephew) was in 24 month clothing by his first birthday. So far LO is 3 and a half months and in mostly all 6 month clothing.

My girl is not that big but there are days where I say to her "you where just wearing this lass then a week ago and now it's too small! Slow down... We can keep up with you."

My 3mo old child is currently wearing a 6mo onesie unbuttoned under his pants because he is too tall for it haha. Aside from big babies, some brands run SO small. LO is wearing 12mo clothes from Carters with a little room to grow, but in other brands he's comfortable in 9mo.

This is mine as well. At his 4 month check up he was 17.5lbs...he was only 6lb 5oz when he was born!

14 weeks and she is still in 0-3! This was a surprise to me because I've always known babies to outgrow a size before they even get to that age. I just washed all the 6 months clothes because she will be wearing them shortly.

I weighed my guy the other day...20+ pounds...he's starting to grow out of his 9 month stuff, I had to ask for long sleeve 12 month clothes for his Christmas because his brothers stuff is all summer stuff. His four month check is next Wednesday and I'm sure he's still at 100+% on the growth curve. It's crazy how huge he is.

I cant wait to see how big my guy is at his 4mo appointment on the 11th. He has to be nearly 20lb. He is in 6mo clothes and they are pretty perfect right now. Ive been washing the 9mo stash and getting his dresser ready. It does seem crazy soon but Im glad to hear we arent the only one!

My LO was in 6 month clothes since he was 6 week. Barely 10 weeks now and he wears mainly 6-9month clothes and size 3 diapers. He was an 11lb baby and very long. He isn't chunky or anything just a tall baby. I feel like he wears an outfit once and that's it because it won't fit again. He is growing so fast.

Not here. 15 weeks and still wearing 0-3 and 3 month stuff. I'm about ready to wash the 6 month stuff though. He was a 34 weeker though so it's taking a bit longer for him to pack it all on. He's probably 14 lbs now though. But he's short

First, he's so cute!! No, you're not alone - mine just hit 3 months and is in 6-9 month clothes already. I'm only 5'0" so I'm hoping this means he'll have his dad's height (6'2"), lol.

First, omg he's cute! My nephew was like that, he started wearing 3-6 month clothes practically the day he was born and was 25 lbs at 6 months. I assumed my DD would be the same but at almost 15 weeks she's just starting to wear 3-6 and still fits in lots of her 0-3. As long as they're healthy it's all good with me

I think my LO is one of the very few exceptions for fitting into baby clothes at the age listed on tags. We went through his closet and changed out all his 0-3 for 3-6 the same week he turned 3 months old. My best friends son is 7 months old and still wearing some 0-3 month stuff!

Our lo is 17 weeks, and is currently in 9 month sleepers, however has grown out of the outfits in 9 month size. He's really long though just like his brother. I'm 5'4" and dh is 6'3". Both sons are off the charts for height though according to the doctor

Your baby looks so much like my little guy! He's 17 weeks and has almost outgrown his 6-month sleepers in length, is wearing 9-month pants, and can still fit into 6-9 month onesies but not for long! At his 2-month appt he was in the 98th percentile for height and 86th for weight, and the last time I weighed him around 12/13 weeks he was almost 17 lbs!

My husband and I were both big babies and my husband is 6 feet tall, so I'm not surprised!

My daughter is 13 weeks and in 6-9 month clothing. She's about to move into only 9 month. It seems crazy to me since I have always been small - but my doctor assures me it's just different babies growing differently!

My 15 week old girl can only wear 12 month clothes - she's so thick LOL. It's hard finding clothes that fit width wise.

Small here. Still in 0-3 month at 4 months old. She was in newborn till 2 months or so also. She's somewhere close to 12 lbs. I actually have a lot of cold weather items that she might outgrow before she gets to wear because it was unseasonably warm here this year

My girl is petite. She's in 0-3 and 3 month still very comfortably. She wore newborn for about six weeks. She's EBF and just a slow grower I guess! I like that I get to enjoy her being tiny a little longer!
