R/R/CS: Haven't been feeling too well lately (stomach a little off and groggy). Was out late last night to see a 70mm showing of Hateful Eight (!!!!!) so I'm kind of wiped from that. I've also been ss like crazy. I'll notice something, that doesn't seem quite right, but the second I question it, it becomes a thousand times worse than it just was.

GTKY: How long do you leave your holiday decor up? We'll take down the tree and Christmas specific decorations New Years Day, but I'll leave my winter decor out for about another month.

R/R/CS: yesterday I bought 5 Cheap Walmart tests so I can test every day till AF. I was trying to hold out but I knew I would cave and I only had an expired FRER at home. (Which I have thrown away lol) I know it's early, but I'm still disappointed about my BFN. We're having friends over tonight and they recently announced their pregnancy and I'm honestly jealous. I really hope they don't spend the whole night talking about it because I'm not sure I'll be able to handle it.

GTKY: I put them up about a week after thanksgiving and they are definitely still up lol. Maybe I'll take them down tomorrow when I have a day off....... Maybe.

R/R/CS: HUGE temp drop today, following the same pattern as last cycle. Looks like FF was right about O date, and I'm about to be out in the next day or two. I am feeling so sad right now. I know the distraction will be good, but I really don't want to be around family right now, I just wanted be alone and do nothing.

Thinking about trying acupuncture. Has anyone heard of legit success stories with it (for fertility)?

Testing Plans: UGH so it looks like we will be going to visit H's parents in Dallas for New Years, which means I will have to test before we leave (11 or 12dpo). I really wanted to just wait til AF was due, but I imagine there will be lots of drinking.

R/R/CS: I'm considering taking out the negative OPK's so FF will give me solid CH. She has changed my O date from the 19th to the 21st several times just from putting in my temps. Taking out OPK's I get solid CH on the 19th so I'm still going with that. Also, I've been having cramps for 4 days now which is frustrating since I have at least another week before AF gets here.

GTKY: How long do you leave your holiday decor up?
I still have my fall decor out! It matches my furniture, and we are moving in a few months, so I have no intentions of changing it. The only holiday decoration I put up is a wreath, which is coming down this week.

R/R/CS: Temp drop today. I'm pretty sure this means my O day is off (it never really seemed right anyway) because I have a 13 day LP and if my period comes today or tomorrow, the other date I was thinking for O makes more sense.

GTKY: How long do you leave your holiday decor up?
This is only my second year of having holiday decor to put up. I think last year I took it down the day after Christmas. I would have taken it down yesterday, but I was sick. So maybe today. We'll see..

I've heard of people having success with acupuncture, but they also had an infertility diagnosis.

Interested to know the acupuncture route, too! I was venting to my "granola" mom friends about my long, irregular cycles and they reminded me about some holistic things I could be doing in addition to bbt, cm, etc. Think I'm going to get some red raspberry leaf tea which claims to promote uterine health by toning the uterus and lengthening the LP. I'm not recommending this for others, just sharing what I'm doing. No idea if it will work, but it's tea and everything I've read says it's great for TTC, as well as 2nd and 3rd trimesters (NOT in first due to uterine toning).

I don't want to overdo the supplements, so will probably stick with just the tea for now, but acupuncture sounds interesting!

@Ash9614 I forgot awhile ago I got some "healthy cycle" tea, I think it's mostly raspberry leaf too. I'll definitely try that this cycle. Or I may order some fertility tea from Amazon. I don't know if it'll do anything, but I drink lots of tea anyways so why not!

LP is usually 14-16 days. I'm not sure I agree with FF about your CH because you have fertile cm twice after CD12, and so many pre-o temps are above the cover line. I think cd14 or 15 is more likely, putting you at 10 dpo

R/R/CS: I am currently on day 12 of this horrible chest cold, haven't been sleeping more than a few hours at a time so I feel horrible!! Was always planning on testing this morning but was gonna skip it due to the horrible night. But I went for it anyway and there was a bfp! Still before AF due so I am cautious after my loss in October, and will keep checking to see if that line gets darker.

Thank you all for your wisdom and support, the 2ww's would have been unbearable without you guys! I will continue to lurk here for a little while longer if that's okay.

@Lecool I have a 15 day LP and my temp doesn't drop until 15 DPO. It's one of numerous reasons I don't track during the TWW anymore. My chart will look great through 14 DPO and convince me I'm getting a BFP, but turns out it's just my regular cycle, with my longer LP.

R/R/CS: I've been dreaming about temp spikes and broken thermometers all night, and then...FF gave me CH's this morning and I believe they should in fact be on my chart!!!! I really think I'm 8dpo and FF is a little off. Regardless, well done, ovaries! But I know better than to cancel that appointment now.

GTKY: How long do you leave your holiday decor up? We have to put it all away by next weekend, boooo. Whole Foods sure ran off with the chestnuts in a hurry yesterday. The guy brought them out from the back and we loved him.

@mali0902 and @blonde18 This was my first month doing acupuncture. I would recommend reading The Infertility Cure if you want to read up on it. A very good companion book to help understand some of the things your acupuncturist might tell you.

Timing: Every day if I o'ed when FF tells me I did.

Testing Plans: BFN today, yesterday, Friday...

R/R/CS: I know everyone says you are regular until you aren't, but I have had a very consistent 12 day LP. According to FF I O'ed pretty early (cd 13), so maybe that wasn't right (***Chartstalk please!!***), although it looks pretty clear to me. I have been spotting, but no AF and not AF symptoms yet. My temp was at a weird time this morning after a bad night of sleep, so I don't know how much I trust it. I usually have a huge temp drop on 12dpo and then AF. I have no idea what is going on! Maybe the acupuncture has made my LP longer? It wasn't something she was working on, but maybe it is a side effect?

GTKY: How long do you leave your holiday decor up? Taking it down right now...I took a quick Bump break! I am going to New York tomorrow to see a show and then going to California for a few months for work, so it is now or never!

@Lecool last month was my first cycle charting, LP ended up being 17 days with no temp drop until 16dpo. Just looking at your chart, I'm not convinced you O'd on CD 12 though. Maybe CD 14? FF can be weird sometimes.

@blonde1817 I'm planning to start acupuncture too if this cycle doesn't work out. I was going to start sooner, but it is expensive where I am, so we decided to give it another month. I haven't heard any success stories with fertility, but it worked wonders for my chronic headaches.

@fitlady21 Sorry about your long cycle, I know how frustrating that can be.

@HeyBooHey Your O date looks right. It's possible it was the acupuncture or your cycle is just different this month. I have a consistent 13 day LP, but last month it decided to be 15 days. Bodies are weird.

Timing: I couldn't tell you. We decided just to HIO until AF arrives since my thermometer broke.

Testing Plans: I have to hold off until at least New Year's Day in order to avoid testing with the ILs in the house. It's the only thing helping me avoid POAS...like every day...

R/R/CS: My thermometer broke, so now I have to wait until the new one arrives on December 30th. Thank God for Amazon Prime. We're going to get some nasty weather here tomorrow, so it might not get here until NYE, but it's on the way. I have no idea what my chart is looking like, so we decided just to HIO. DH is not complaining though because we've started BD ED in order to not miss O. Hoping the next two weeks go fast.

GTKY: How long do you leave your holiday decor up?

I was raised Catholic, so we usually wait until the Epiphany (it varies from year-to-year. This year is January 6th). However, I go back to work (school) on January 4th, so we might just spend next Sunday putting everything away. Trying not to leave it up until February...we did that last year...oops!

Testing Plans: The plan was NYE no sooner. I squashed that and started at 7dpo.

R/R/CS: We went to a Friends house for gift exchange/game board night yesterday. There is always drinking involved. Since I would be testing shortly I drove DH and decided to only have a beer since I needed to be DD.

A few of my friends wanted to take a shot of fireball and I thought oh one shot wouldn't hurt I tested early that day and it was negative.

Weirdest thing happened though. Right when we all clinked glasses and they took the shot. My conscious literally screamed at me to not do it. So instead I played it off with me driving and didn't want the smell on my breath just in case. I did have one beer though that I sipped on all night and I ate all the food literally.

Took three test totally. VFLs on all. The test strips showed more than the Walmart 88 cent did. But the strips are suppose to be the most sensitive! I woke hubby up to tell him I couldn't wait.

Still nervous it's too early and this won't stick.

GTKY: How long do you leave your holiday decor up? I never decorated this year...oops

However years before we would take it down New Year's Day.

R/R/CS: thought i got my period Christmas Eve. Bright red flow. But then nothing all night or Christmas Day. Yesterday, had a temp drop and some almost unnoticeable brownish spotting. (Only reason I knew is I was wearing a liner due to temp drop) today, nothing and temps were back up.
So now I'm driving myself crazy and gonna pick up a few tests and test this afternoon and possibly tomorrow with fmu.

GTKY: How long do you leave your holiday decor up?
We have a small table tree so it just gets put back in the storage hall closet. Usually the week after some time.

R/R/CS: So, this morning, my temperature dropped drastically. I guess my question is "WTF mate?", since I don't usually see a steap drop until ~CD2. Should I be concerned and/or restock my purse's tampon arsenal?

GTKY: How long do you leave your holiday decor up?
The weekend following Old New Year, on January 14th. So, for brief historical reference, Russia was really late to the whole Gregorian calendar party, and only switched over in 1918. However, the Orthodox church still determines religious holidays by the Julian calendar, so Christmas falls on January 7th. But wait, there's more! New Year (the Gregorian one, on January 1st) is the predominant cultural holiday, and the one we celebrate with family, so the tree only went up on the 25th of December this year because I got lazy. But Old New Year (the Julian one, on January) is still observed, and coincidentally my Dad is visiting from Russia, so we will celebrate with him. The weekend after Old New Year is generally considered a cleaning weekend, so I use it to deep clean the house from top to bottom, put away the decorations, and take my husband out for food while the place airs out.

TL;DR Excellent cultural justification for 2 weeks of drinking because Russia.
