I'm due June 30 so go between June and July boards and my unpopular opinion is I don't understand all the anger here on the July board. There are some members who get ragey about everything. June is much more chilled out. Before you kick me over to June, I'm not upset or anything, just noticing and suggesting for some to relax a little. OK time to bite off my head now, I'm AMA I can take it. :)

Each board is different. You don't know what different experiences each woman goes through or has gone thorough and what may trigger negative experiences. Just because people here have chosen to be honest and upfront about their feelings doesn't mean it's bad. If you like a board go there it's all about preference I personally chose this board over June because the ladies here got me and called me things I needed to be called on. They are also incredibly supportive and have helped me through some incredibly tough days!

Eta: spelling and you don't have to leave but people aren't going I beg you stay when you generalize the board.
I would never expect anyone to beg or even want me to stay :) I'm not the most active poster so no one cares either way I'm sure. Just pointing out what seems like an unhealthy vibe on here.
I think my problem is that I don't come on these boards for support - I'm lucky to have that from friends and family and I understand not everyone has that - but more to get info and ideas and the occasional laugh or rant. I will occasionally post to support others though. All the people who get offended and upset over every little thing instead of moving on, well it seems unhealthy and its tiresome to read on nearly every post. I do love a good rant though!
I would disagree that it is on every thread. And it's great that you have supportive family and friends. Everyone loves a good rant ;) I would also push to remember that we are all in our first tri whereas June is now majority in their second and probably hormones have evened out ;) I know mine are still raging.

I feel like the odd man out because the closest I get to reality t.v. are all of the murder shows on Investigation Discovery! WATCH ALL THE MURDER SHOWS!

Omg @Nerdchild yes!! DH teases me for watching my murder porn (South Park reference) and he thinks it is weird how I fall asleep to dateline
  • @Taymiller When my husband pokes fun at me I remind him that these shows are technically "research". ;)

We joke about being on dateline in the future. We are weird.

  • @Nerdchild I LOVE all murder mystery shows. It's to the point I might be able to commit the perfect crime!!

@Lindsayleigh1989 I saw that today and I'm so ready for the drama :)
  • @ButterMyBiscuit I don't know whether to laugh or vomit at your 'field of unicorns' imagery.
  • @ButterMyBiscuit you never fail to make me smile
  • My UO: Im really excited to go to church tonight.
  • I really don't like maternity shirts that have phrases on them. I was on the Motherhood Maternity website last night and one said "Ready to Pop." Ugh. Just personally can't stand it. I don't think it's cute.

Totally agree! After I had DS, I wore my maternity t-shirts for a while since they were loose and easy to nurse in, and I definitely wouldn't have wanted one to advertise that I was "about to pop" at that point.

So there's this boy. He kinda stole my heart. He calls me "Mom"

  • I get ragey at women who have

I'm not sure if this is an unpopular opinion on here or just in my own social media but it drives me absolutely bonkers to see people announcing other people's pregnancies. Even if it's after the pregnant person has announced. Every time I see "I have great news!! I'm going to be an AUNT" I get a little stabby. Why does everyone feel the need to make everything about them?

Yep, right there with you! This is the exact reason we didn't tell my SIL right away this time. Last time she posted on her Facebook the day we told her when we found out, while I didn't post anything for a week and a half.

  • Oh good, I'm glad other people feel the same about family members stealing your announcement thunder, SIL did this, didn't even share my post, screened shot my post and then posted the picture of the post. I rolled my eyes.

Hate that. It's a jerk move. We still haven't announced yet. Not sure when or if we will. Maybe we'll just wait and see how many people think I'm just getting fat.
  • With DS my sister announced the sex before I even had a chance! I saw it posted 2 minutes later and demanded she take it down.  She didn't understand the problem.  UGH! I'm announcing tomorrow I am certain she will repost it.

  • @BostonBaby1 you are my bump crush now, I LOVE the House gif!!!
  • I dislike BC with a passion and never tried WTE, maybe I'm just too old and tired to put up with all the cat fighting, or maybe I get enough back talk from my 4 and 6 year olds.

I'm also old(er.) From what I hear, this site is a mere remnant of the snarky and argumentative environment of what was prior to the mass exodus.

In terms of your passionate dislike for BC...

  • Ughh. I agree about BC. I have it installed but it is twelve pages of the same four posts repeated over and over combined with about half the population being unable to spell or grammar. Makes me stabby.

  • I don't care how many baby showers people have, which is basically the most unpopular opinion on TB. If your friends and family aren't offended, why on earth should I care if this is a shower for baby#1 or baby #25? I just don't have time to get all worked up about whether you're being gift-grabby or your mom just REALLY likes baby showers. What does it matter? Eat your cake and enjoy your 700 bibs
