Emma or Emily

We really love both names for their classic beauty but wish they weren't so popular. Which name do you think will yield less odds of her being one of five in her class with the name? It's so hard to gauge how things are trending. Her twin brother will be Charles John (Charlie) and I love the nickname Emmy.

    I like both and although popular they have history of popularity so it's not like using a trendy name which will be dated. I think both are nice and pair well with Charles. Slight edge to Emily.

    Both are really pretty names and you really can't go wrong. I voted for Emma though. I have so many friends named Emily that I'm just over the name now!

    I prefer Emma, but they are both nice. No matter which you pick, she might end up in the same class with girls of the same name, she might not. One year that I was teaching I had two Quentins in the same class...so you just never know!

    I will always see Emma as a cutesy little kids name. I feel like Emily ages better, so I voted Emily.

    I like Emma better anyway and I think it pairs much better with Charlie. I don't like the matchy -lee endings of Emily and Charlie.

    I voted Emily. You can still call her Emma as a nn. The middle names could be reversed too. My sister is Emily Rose and I think it works very well

    Beautiful names, both of them. You can't go wrong. I disagree with PP on Emma - I think that works nicely as an adult name too.

    TTC since May 2014.
    Aug 2014 BFP, EDD April 22, 2015. Low progesterone, started suppositories. Loss at 5w6d.
    Nov 19, 2015 BFP at 13 dpo, EDD July 29, 2016. MMC discovered 12/29 (9+4). Natural miscarriage 1/16 (12+1).
    AMH results 0.42, 1.2; FSH 12.1, AFC 10, dx DOR. 
    RPL testing results normal. Nurse recommended progesterone suppositories in TWW.
    Clomid + trigger + TI cycle August 2016 - failed. Thin lining.
    Femara + trigger + TI cycle December 2016 - failed. Thin lining.
    Short LP (8 days).
    Acupuncture & Chinese herbs starting January 2017, lengthened LP to 10 days

    I like Emma just a tad more. If you decide on Emily I would definitely stay away from Emily Rose. That movie creeps me out! I just can't get over the spider eating scene.

    I really like Emma. It's a common name, but so classic that it doesn't feel overused to me the same way that Emily does. I know Emily has a lot of history, but I have met SO many over the years and I just don't care for it.
