@kalanieileen omg that is so scary! I'm so happy you're fine and I'm seriously praying that your little baby will be alright with no complications. I seriously feel so bad right now, please keep us updated
@kalanieileen yikes. I witnessed a fender bender yesterday and that put me on edge... I can't imagine actually being in a big accident. Hopefully you heal up quickly and baby stays strong and safe.
@kalanieileen DH and I saw a super nasty crash last night on our way home. Car was crunched, flipped over, and sticking up out of a ditch. Hopefully you have a speedy recovery and baby is totally fine and safe in your belly. On a side note, baby should help you heal faster! They've found pregnant women heal faster than normal because the baby sends extra stuff (I'm completely blanking on what they are called... It's too early and I have major pregnancy brain) to help mom.
Hiiiiiii! I miss you ladies. Been so swamped it's hard to check in. New Years resolution I guess! Hahahah. Have I missed anything big?
Nothing dire except for @kalanieileen's car accident last night. Mostly all things Christmas - desserts, travel and the joys of being trapped with extended family for days.
I really don't know what I would do without you April mamas I was discharged to go home and monitor for any signs of pre-term labor. After 24 hours I should be in the clear. I have bruises like this all over my body But I am just so thankful my Ayden is ok so far. @AmadorRose you're right. He is one tough cookie.

Oh my, that looks painful. So happy to hear you got discharged and I'm sure he will be just fine as well
Hope you're doing better kalanieileen. I just had a pretty bad fall thanks to a crazy dog my husband agreed to watch over the holidays so I'm a bit worried about my little guy It sounds like they are pretty protected in there though....
STMs: is it normal for baby to drop pretty low in second tri? Last night I could hear his heart above my belly button, and this morning I could feel him to the left of my belly button. Tonight I have been feeling a tiny bit of pelvic floor weight, just checked my belly and the top is pretty soft and I hear his heart with the Doppler right above my pelvic bone! He moved super low throughout the day! Should I be concerned?
@thaisac1 I carried very low with DS throughout a majority of my pregnancy and he made some very severe position changes. I really wouldn't be concerned, unless you are experiencing other new sx in addition.
@kalanieileen I'm really glad to hear you're doing better after your accident. This is totally not your month... At least this time next year, you'll have a million more reasons to appreciate the season!

No symptoms, I just got alarmed because he was way higher last night and this morning... And his low position gives me a tiny bit of pelvic heaviness which freaks me out a bit...
@kalanieileen so glad to hear everything looks good and that you get to rest at home!
You guys, I'm soooo bored in this L&D waiting room. Plus the chairs are soooooo uncomfortable. Why don't they make comfy, standard waiting room chairs? That being said, baby niece is coming, slowly but surely, and I'd wait forever in this sh!tty chair for this kid!

DD is riding MUCH higher than DS did which is strange to me. I felt like my pelvis was going to fall out of my body with him, there was a lot of low pressure like you're describing. A support belt type deal ended up being helpful as time went on. If it continues to bother you, by all means call the OB line, that's what they're there for, even if it is just reassurance and peace of mind. From my own experience, I personally just wouldn't be especially alarmed is all.

Did you feel the pressure this early on, though? I'm the crazy woman laying down with a pillow under my butt right now to see if he moves up again. Lol : D

Both boys have liked to head bang against my cervix pretty early on. Baby will shift a ton. DS2 currently likes to switch from high to low throughout the day. This morning it was my sternum. Tonight it will be bumping my cervix again.
Anyone else have an awkward child that knocks back at your SO during sexual activity?! DH and I have never had that happen before! When I was pregnant with DS1, he didn't give a care. Usually he went to sleep or just relaxed...
I was able to move him back up a bit by laying on my side with a pillow under my butt. now I can hear his heart right under my belly button instead of right above my pelvic bone...
I don't know about the heartbeat thing but it seems like mine is low because I usually feel him way down low, like close to hip level. I thought this was probably normal but maybe not.
So this is just not my week... On the way to pick DH up from work tonight, I was in an accident and totaled my car. Another driver pulled out in front of me from a parking lot when I had the right of way on the street. Air bags deployed, the whole shabang. I was taken to the nearest hospital to be checked. In the ambulance BP was 150/95 caused by stress of accident. When I was admitted by BP was 120/80. Nurse was able to find FHR at 145 after a couple of minutes. They're monitoring me for pre-term labor. Doc said it can be caused by trauma or placental abruption, and normally occurs a few hours after trauma. Since baby is not 24 weeks we know what that means if I deliver...Obviously this is worst case scenario that doc had to prepare me for. But still terrified of that possibility.
I'm pretty banged up, whole right boob and left knee is purple and bruised, I have bruises all over abdomen, I have cuts and rashes from airbag impact and seatbelt burn. My chest feels heavy and my back is killing me. Other than that my vitals are good for having been in an accident. Just praying that my baby continues to be ok and I can carry full term.
I'm typing this in the hospital bed to keep my mind from wandering to scary places. Now I will watch re run episodes of the office on Hulu until I can get discharged.

Yes... Happens pretty frequently actually... I'm pretty adept at ignoring it, but at first it was awkward lol
@Knottie9983816 I seriously wish I could ignore it. LO is an intense kicker, so each time he kicks I jerk. I'm starting to miss his not very active days.
Holy hell, apparently my landlord is coming by today to pick up some of her shit. It's Christmas fucking eve! Leave me alone and go spend time with the family you just drove across the country to see. I can't deal with this day anymore -.-
In 1995, I made matching Christmas sweatshirts for my grandmother and I. Today, they were found and have made an appearance at family Christmas on DS and I. Happy holidays, ladies!
MIL continues to be overly touchy, which makes me extra throat-punchy. The last couple of days she has taken to grabbing my belly and shaking it, "to wake the baby up." Someone either come drive me from Colorado to Wisconsin where the normal people are or just fucking shoot me. Put me out of my misery; it would be the ultimate Christmas miracle.
So I just tried to make one last Christmas gift in the oven... when the heating element caught fire and melted. My effing luck. In the middle of the night with parents asleep. I had to open a window to get the smoke out. So the oven is useless until that is replaced, which will be after Christmas because no one will be open tomorrow that sells the stupid thing. And I am amazed at myself. I'm so tired and stressed that it didn't even warrant a panic attack. The oven broke the night before Christmas and I don't even freaking care. I'm going to bed and I'm staying in bed for as long as I can before someone guilts me out of it tomorrow.
Instead of someone paying off a Christmas layaway, could someone just magically pay off all of my medical bills? I think a new one shows up every month and I can't keep up.

@kalanieileen I hope everything will be okay with you and baby! My thoughts and prayers to you.
