Scheduled for repeat section as my first pregnancy ended up an emergency section. Needless to say I was less than prepared the first time around. Looking for advice from some repeat section mamas.
Did binders help- if so what kind?
What else should I pack that I might not think of for a routine vaginal delivery?
Thanks!!
Re: Csection hospital bag
With ongoing thoughts, I've only came up with my going home outfit. But I have read "C-panty" & "belly bandit" are good to have. Hoping someone has personal experience with these!
This is the list I keep on a desktop sticky note. I add things if I think of them, but this is the basics of what I've take for each delivery, c-section or otherwise.
2 yoga pants, 2 tanks/shirts, 2 night gowns, 2 bras, slippers, socks, depends, shower shoes,**toiletries** *sham/cond/body wash, *toothbrush/paste, *deodorant, *makeup, *brush, *hair ties, *lotion, *Chapstick, phone/charger, camera, tablet, wallet, going home clothes
ETA: I typed it as a list, but it keeps doing that. WTF? Editing to add commas since it's being stupid.

I live in South Dakota, so I get the worry about it being cold. But unless you plan on making stops between the hospital and home, you won't freeze. Just have your DH/SO/whoever is driving you home bring the car up close to the hospital doors so you spend as little time outside as possible. Maybe even have a blanket to drape over your legs in the car. Yoga pants or sweat pants really are so much more comfortable after a C-section, not just b/c of the incision, but for a lot of us there is a lot of body swelling in general.
I hope this made sense. My 13-month old is "helping."
