Weekend "complain"fest

Re: Weekend "complain"fest

  • @Lindsayleigh1989 That's the way I was with DD, so I understand completely. With nothing until yesterday, I was really hoping it's really true that each pregnancy is different......maybe not!

  • I am sorry you are all having a terrible weekend. .....but can someone tell me what happened that made us have to make this PG13?? I've had a busy weekend so haven't had time to read everything!
People got warnings because of the word bitch we think? Probably some troll on here and then there was the whole super sperm thread that got shut down. I think that's it?
    Oh how silly. Thanks!
I might have missed a few things, but over-all, just plain stupid.

    Me: 30, DH: 31

    Married: May 16th 2015

  • I have a tickle in my throat that isn't going away. I've had a cinnamon lozenge (non medicated), hot lemon tea, coughed...nothing. Last time this happened (right before BFP) I came down with bronchitis and pneumonia. If that happens again....

Lots of hot water with honey & cinnamon. Lots of sleep... Sleep sleep sleep
I'm trying to get sleep. Very active 10 month old is preventing. Hopefully DH gets home from work at a decent time tonight and can play with her for a good hour so I can get solid sleep.
  • Not so much a complaint but I'm getting really anxious as I slowly gain weight. I've lost about 7-8 lbs so far due to ms but I'm struggling as I gain because I've worked out/tried to and I can barely keep food down. I know it's normal and fine but as I've worked hard to lose the weight to see it go up makes my anxiety shoot through the roof! The scale and me are not friends right now!
Well, apparently we gain 6 pounds in our boobs alone during pregnancy, so maybe it's all in your chest! Also, muscle weighs more than fat, so if you're working out and clearly aren't over-eating, I imagine your hard work isn't being undone! But, I agree with @Taymiller - if it gives you anxiety, don't get on that scale!
  • About the pg13, I saw that some of the birth months have started their own private groups because the moderators are getting too crazy regarding swear words and the such. If anyone wants to have an actual adult group where we can freely express ourselves in all the profanities we want, we might want to consider doing that as well!

My old BMB did that during the bump overhaul that happened last year. I never understood the format of the new app they used.

I wanna be with the cool kids! Count me in
  • I will try and figure this out tonight!
  • Me three, please. We swear liberally in this house!
  • @TattoosandLace now you've got echosmith in my head. I wishhh that I could be like the coollll kids..
  • Weird swearing question. We swear a lot in our house. Like everyday conversation. My mom has been pressuring us to clean up our mouths. While I don't really care what she thinks, do other people plan to clean up their mouths?
  • @mckcak23 I don't plan on cleaning up my language too much. I do plan on establishing what children can or can not say and the times in which it is appropriate.
  • I agree with @blissylissy86 100%!

DS is 18 months and we still haven't cleaned up our language. I think it will happen after he repeats one of our swears. Until then we keep on doing it.
  • That group doesn't work for me but maybe I was already voted off the island?

  • Oh I had one, I didn't see it because I'm literally too dumb to find my inbox on mobile lol.
  • @jlgriff11 you are still there! Check your inbox!
  • Private group where I can swear like the sailor I'm not? Count me the f*** in.
  • I want in! Also, a bunch of my students (preschool) grow up in houses where parents curse. The kids are just told that it's not socially acceptable for them to curse in public, and they don't. Maybe once a year a kid says damn on accident at school, but it's pretty rare.

We're the same way with DD - we swear all the time and I constantly have to remind DH that we need to stop soon before she repeats it!

We did. We stopped using cuss words when I was pregnant with DS. Sometimes we will still use them by accident and DS(who is 6 did say ass one time and used it correctly haha) we try not to say them. We also watch PG-13 movies around them so I know they hear them occasionally. It's all up to you.
  • I want to play with the cool kids and their cuss words!
  • You should be able to go to community--> groups-->new groups--> July 2016. Request to be added there and I will add you. It is much easier to do it that way than to copy and paste names (at least from my phone)
