I'm starting to feel like I'm running out of things to say on these! But I'll try.
1) Our A/S is next week. I'm so excited. 2) The thing I'm most excited about for Christmas is the food. Seriously. Give me all the food. 3) I really want mashed potatoes, which are not part of my lunch today. Sadness. 4) The painting in the Nursery is officially done. 5) One of my hubby's co workers is "giving" us a crib- I say "giving" because we refuse to take it for free. We'll be giving her some money. But like $50 instead of $250 for the same crib we wanted in the same color? I'll take it. 6) We are doing a major house purging right now. I think it's a combination of "Oh hey! Christmas time means time to clear everything out.", "Our house is mostly done so everything should have a home" and nesting. My hubby seems a bit scared when I start major cleaning. 7) I think we have more books than anything else on our baby registry, as a children's librarian, I am ok with this. 8) My dogs are helping us baby proof the house. They used to never get into anything- now they are getting into everything. 9) Baby starts kicking like crazy when we watch Supernatural, I think it's a fan 10) My hubby and I are in charge of stockings this year for my family. We got my brother a dinosaur figure. He's 30. It has a cross-stitch that says "Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal". My hubby is worried my brother won't get it. Seeing as he's the one who introduced me to Firefly, I think if he doesn't I might just disown him (kidding...maybe).
1. My poor husband has a gross cold and he woke me up at 2:30 this morning
2. I think I am getting his gross cold
3. My younger dog has been much nicer to me since she body slammed me on the couch and I started sobbing uncontrollably (mostly just hurt feelings)
4. A/S tomorrow I'm so excited!!!!
5. I secretly hope we accidently find out the sex of the baby
6. Today is Friday for me 7. I'm subbing on an all ladies curling team tonight, I hope we win
8. We are going to my parents house for a long Christmas weekend and I'm so excited
9. My husband and I opened gifts from each other last night, he got me a gift card to a spa and built me a giant craft table that is comfortable to stand at. He is the best!
10. The dogs also opened their gifts (squeeky tennis balls) and the younger one ate all the tissue paper it was wrapped in... Oops
@EErin86 Curling is pretty popular where I live. I've always wanted to try it. Do you love it? Is it pretty easy to get the hang of?
1. I had a hormonal rage yesterday shopping for maternity clothes. The saleswoman was super pushy and in my face the entire time even after I told her I was just browsing (2 times). I also hate buying maternity clothes because I completely don't feel like myself in them (as @ladysamlady said) but the ones that are high-end brands are absurdly expensive and not worth the money to me.
2. Speaking of hormonal rages, that was my second one in two days... I'm getting a little nervous this is turning into a trend...
3. My first rage was after attending an open house where the realtor was very aggressive about sharing her opinions on raising children in the city vs the suburbs and it really annoyed me. When I say rage I'm not actually screaming at these people but it's more like internal irrational anger.
4. We have our AS tomorrow morning and I'm EXTREMELY excited-slash-nervous! I'm excited to find out the sex but nervous that everything is okay.
5. For no reason I'm 85% sure we're going to find out it's a boy. I'm not feeling it "intuitively" but I just think it is and don't know why.
6. Another preggers lady admitting to eating raw cookie dough over here.
7. I haven't bought even one thing for the baby but after tomorrow I have a feeling I'm going to go crazy.
8. Creating a registry is insanely intimidating to me and I'm dreading it. My MIL and mom are throwing me a shower in March, though, so I know I'll have to bite the bullet sooner rather than later.
9. DH and I are definitely not going to share our baby's name with anyone until he or she is born... anyone else doing it this way?
10. Super excited to have a few days off for Christmas but my boss is absolutely killing me with the work until then (and I guarantee she will be emailing over the holiday and weekend which I'm dreading).
1. Just finished my Christmas shopping! Hooray! However, I realized that for my husband, mom, sisters, grandmother, MIL, and my son's godparents their "big" gifts all include pictures of my son...either calendars, mugs, other photo type gift things. Good thing he's cute!
2. I woke up super late today because my son came into our bedroom at 3:00am and yelled "Dada!" repeatedly until MH answered, to which my son responded "Go to sleep, Dada." Yeah, that's what we were trying to do, buddy. Took all of us about an hour to settle down and then we were dead to the world by the time we really had to get up.
3. Since I was late to work, I missed the staff breakfast. But that's ok because whenever I eat anything in front of anyone they always make some joke about cravings. No it is not a crazy pregnancy craving, I just happen to like quiche, jeez.
4. I am so excited for Christmas morning! We get to find out if we are having a girl or a boy!
5. One of my students got me the absolute greatest gift ever! We joke that I am Nurse Ninja because I can take his blood sugar and calculate his insulin dose super fast. So, he got me this adorable mug with a picture of a ninja with hearts on the headband. I love it so much! And then he made me a paper cut out snowflake in art class. So sweet!
6. We have a half day today and I am really regretting being nice and offering to help another nurse with her hearing and vision screening today. I would so much rather go home and take a nap.
7. I am a bit nervous because I haven't seen an email go out to my Joyful Noises kids about performing at the Christmas Eve service. My co-teacher said she was going to handle it, but I know she has a bit on her plate so I don't know if I should just go ahead and send it or assume she will get to it.
8. I am eating Ritz Bits sandwiches with cheese...and loving them! I am an adult.
9. I have drunk 500 gallons of unsweetened iced tea in the past week. I may have a problem.
10. I will echo that CS scar kicks are the worst! Ouch! But I love feeling every move this nugget makes.
1. Anatomy scan on Thursday and we open it on Christmas morning. DH said he hopes its a girl and while I could care less I kind of want a boy bc it would be the first boy grandbaby in the family. I can't wait to see. 2. Christmas shopping is nowhere near done. Doesn't help some people in my family have completely unrealistic expectations. My dad and stepmom want a new dinner set for 8. 8? 2 people live in your house and the one you want is $100 for a set of 4. You get a gift card to Bed, Bath, and Beyond. 3. Work I really need to get done will probably not get done bc someone broke something preventing me from going further. Today is my last day before vacation. I really don't care. 4. I think the guy on the other side of my cube is sleeping. He always does this and nothing ever happens. And somehow I always end up with more work. Wish I could sleep during the day. 5. Christmas is supposed to be a high of 84 where I am. I think it was this same temperature back in July. This makes me sad. 6. Someone brought a subway sandwich for lunch. It's making me hungry and I want one now but I can't go to lunch for at least another hour. 7. Even though I have work I need to get done I've spent a lot of time today looking at baby clothes. I can't help myself though. Someone mentioned a Carters sale and I lost all self control. 8. I've finally felt baby move where I definitely know it's baby as of a few days ago. It's still weird to me but also very cool and exciting. Judging from its movements I think it hates work and loves pizza. Lol. 9. I think I'm going to make some Christmas cookies tonight and plan an easy breakfast for Christmas. DH says we don't need to do anything, but my dad and stepmom are likely staying over on Christmas Eve and I think they would appreciate something. He thinks I'm making too much of it... Honestly I was just going to get a thing of cinnamon rolls to make in the morning and a simple breakfast casserole. I think he's just being a Scrooge. His family never really had any Christmas traditions. Breakfast was always kind of a big deal for mine. 10. Can I just go home now? Nothing is working on my computer right now so no work is getting done anyway...
1.) A/S tomorrow. SO excited to see little man for so long (our place does an hour U/S).
2.) I'm nervous to find out that everything is ok with him. I just know it is, but I am still worried that something could go wrong.
3.) I only work until 2 today, 12:30 tomorrow, and then 12 on Thursday. Then I am off for 5 days. I'm so ready!
4.) We had to rush my beagle to the vet on Friday because she just started screaming (literally screaming) out of no where. Turns out she slipped a disk in her neck causing her to favor her back end which made her hips swell up. She couldn't move. I realized I have no idea how I am going to handle taking LO to the Dr. I was bawling like a baby the entire time we were at the vet.
5.) Just about finished reading "The Girl on the Train". It was pretty good. Reminded me a lot of "Gone Girl" in some spots, though.
6.) H and I have been putting the crib together for the past week now. Seems like we always get distracted. Hey, we have the drawers put together for the changing table! Ha!
7.) My grandma is the cutest and tells everyone that we are bringing her pictures of her great-grandson on Christmas. She is talking about the U/S photos. She just loves them.
8.) We are debating whether or not we want to do a 3D U/S at 28 weeks. I am thinking if we do, we will take my grandma so she can see it all first hand!
9.) I went on a cleaning spree last night and scrubbed my entire house. I was up until 11 before I realized that I needed to stop! Hellllooooo nesting!
10.) I have eaten 6 clementines this morning and am already thinking that I will eat my lunch early. I am just starving lately.
1. DH went shopping at Justice last night for DD. Wish I could have been a fly on the wall to witness that.
2. Last night my daughter had gymnastics then we went to DH's softball game. I was exhausted and I wasn't the one doing any physical activity.
3. Going to the gym today. Hopefully it's not too crowded with the rain and the holidays.
4. I've been getting too many candy/ chocolate gift baskets at my office. I have no will power. I'm sure I'll get a lecture about my weight at my next appt.
5. I emailed my Dr for the A/S results and the nurse emailed back saying "Everything was normal. No concerns."
6. I think I'm done Christmas shopping. Hopefully I didn't miss anyone.
7. I still need to go to the grocery store and buy food. I'm dreading that.
8. I'm ready to be off work and enjoy the holidays.
9. This year we have a lot of running around to do for the holidays then we're going camping for the weekend. Next year since we'll have the baby, we're staying put and our parents can come to us.
9. DH and I are definitely not going to share our baby's name with anyone until he or she is born... anyone else doing it this way?
Yep, we don't have names picked out yet, but we don't plan on sharing. DH's family is big on using family names, and we'll definitely get some side-eye if we don't use one (which I don't plan on doing). Also, when my SIL was pregnant with my niece, she wanted to name her an unusual name (which, admittedly, I wasn't a fan of , but I kept quiet about it), and she got grief about the name from so many people. No, thanks.
Married: May 2012 DS1: May 2016 DS2: Jan 2019 Baby #3 EDD: 6/18/24
Thanks @kbrands7@charissadeats@AliciaD39 She is doing much better now. They gave her some steroid injections in her hips and then we have her on some medicine. She is able to move around like normal now and is back to her crazy self.
@yogahh I am with you on the Star Wars thing. Who cares?! DH went to see it with a friend of his last night because I will have no part of it. lol
@kp90 Today is my Friday as well! I need to start looking into daycares. Ugh. That's going to be so stressful. It's going to be hard to trust someone else with my child. DH and I did our registries yesterday. I didn't realize how overwhelming it would be. I was in a terrible mood the rest of the day.. mostly from that and having a headache from not eating.
@adorkablepixie Yay for our long weekend ahead! And prepare yourself before you do day care walk throughs. Most have been highly disappointing or verrrrry expensive. BUT thankfully we are military so our unborn baby girl is already on the wait list to get into day care on post. I'm very thankful. They are much nicer! Take your time and do lots of searching.
4. Carter's is having a sale today. I made the mistake of going to their website and checking it out. I spent $64 on clothes for baby boy. Oops.
And now I've made my first baby purchase...
And this is why I need to know what I am having PRONTO. I swear, if this kid doesnt cooperate next week, he's grounded! I have the baby shopping bug badly!
sarawifenow hoping puppy feels better soon. I honestly think nothing is worse than when your pet is sick, because you can't explain to them whats happening
1. Worked 3 nights in a row and was hustling the entire time. On my health app, it shows from midnight on Saturday to 11:59pm I walked 4.5+ miles. So yup, busy. 2. Found out baby likes when I drink Coke. I had one watered down with ice during work to help make it through the night, and that kid was moving and tickling me the entire time. I tested my theory at lunch yesterday, definitely confirmed. I've had coffee and Sprite in the past, and no reaction. So it's specifically Coke. Cant wait to find out what else she likes. 3. I'm having a beautiful baby girl. She already has pretty buff quads like her momma. 4. I bought some maternity scrubs online. Still waiting for the tops, but the bottoms are comical. Cherokee brand pants, tried them on and they have a MASSIVE FUPA! So saggy and gross looking. I could fit a grapefruit in the crotch and it would have room to spare. I still fit my pants so I'll have to wait till I grow more for that monster. 5. Bump grew overnight again. My friend told me "your getting bigger in front of my eyes" and I went and checked my belly button and sure enough, it had gone from shallow to flat. 6. Got a mountain of stuff to wrap, ugh. 7. Going to make lots of cookies today 8. Husband is home today. First thing he asks when I wake up is "want to get dressed and run to the store?" Hell no. 9. We can start to feel our baby kick when a hand is placed on my belly. It's very light but it's so exciting that my husband gets to feel it too now. 10. I told my side about the pregnancy. My 76 y.o. grandma is hilarious. In addition telling me she had been praying for me to get pregnant for a while, she says "so you're getting fat now!" Ugh no grandma, just pregnant. Crazy lady.
I feel the same way about the registry. We did ours yesterday and it was so overwhelming.
DH and I are also not announcing our baby's name until after birth!

@Jenly17 if BMB means birth month board like I think it does then no, FTM
@js8812 I love curling!!! My husband and I started last year. We got put on a team with some experienced players and they taught us a lot. Most clubs do like an open house or learn to curl league, you should try it

THIS just confirmed that I will do whatever it takes to stay out of maternity scrubs. Haha. Thank you for the descriptive detail.. made me giggle. I'm making due with my old pants low on my waist and stretchy tops with my lab coat over. Lets hope this wardrobe holds it down for me til May! @LEMMYRN

@AdorkablePixie & @babyfmama , I used Lucie's list for some guidance. I just kept open a tab for target and a tab for lucieslist and toggled It definitely set me on the right path.
1. Pretty sure this is my first TTT, though my memory isn't the greatest these days so I'm not sure! 2. We found out were having a Baby Boy yesterday!! My husband's first time at an ultrasound and he was so in love!♡ 3. Trying to come up with a boys name is really hard for me and I'm not sure why 4. Though I don't hate Christmas per say, I haven't been in the spirit at all this year ready for it to be over! 5. I'm so thankful for my mom even though she's 22 hours away from me she still does so much, I don't know what I'd do without her! 6. I'm really trying to post more on the board instead of just lurking, but I just get frustrated when I try to and the app acts up and tells me I need permission to do so, which in turn I give up 95% of the time.. I apologize! 7. I'm so glad it's just me and husband this holiday and we don't have to be around his mother... she drives him crazy which in turn makes me crazy! 8. I don't know how well my newest puppy, who is 9 months old is going to handle not being "mommas only baby " once my son gets here! 9. Ahh I love that I can say my son though it's weird in a good way 10. I wish I could feel baby kicks already though I'm glad I got to see him yesterday
@kp90 I'm hoping the scrub tops will be better. The tops I have now are looking snug, and my options are getting limited. Glad you liked my description! I tried to paint the picture well cause there is no way anyone is seeing me in those things the way they're fitting now.
1. I'm super late to the party today. 2. Since we found out we're having a boy, I haven't been able to resist buying several new, cute boy outfits!! 3. I've also been buying a lot of gender neutral stuff for DD (mostly pjs) lately, so that works out well! 4. H and I both have to work on Christmas Eve, but at least it's a half-day. 5. Christmas shopping is done and all presents are wrapped. Victory is mine! 6. DD turned 2 a couple of days ago, and I am having such a hard time wrapping my mind around it. 7. I saw a picture of myself at 25 weeks when I was pregnant with DD, and I hardly looked pregnant. This time around, my belly is so much bigger, and I've still got a month to go before I'm 25 weeks. 8. My limbs have been going numb so easily if I sit or lay on them funny. I forgot about that glorious pregnancy symptom. 9. DD has been using plastic knives from her kitchen set to try to open the presents under the tree. I blame H for opening boxes with a pocket knife all the time. 10. Is it bedtime yet? I'm so tired.
11. I was resting my hand on my bump tonight while watching tv. Previously I had been feeling baby inside but I felt 3 very noticeable hard kicks on the outside for the first time. Odd, but definitely a very cool moment. Now I keep trying to feel it again. I think I can definitively say what I'm feeling is baby now. And I've decided baby either really likes Christmas movies or hummus with pita.
. Even though I have work I need to get done I've spent a lot of time today looking at baby clothes. I can't help myself though. Someone mentioned a Carters sale and I lost all self control.
@dsmith211 It was me! lol I spent like an hour this morning at work looking at baby clothes. I shouldn't have but it was my last day until January and I just couldn't help myself. No motivation!
good luck with your A/S Thursday!

1. @dsmith211 The exact same thing just happened to me! Was watching tv and suddenly felt 3 kicks in a row. It was the weirdest thing ever, but also awesome, because I haven't felt her move at all over the last few days. I know it's still early enough that my ability to detect movement in there will probably be very sporadic, but it's still nice to know things are going okay! 2. My FIL went to go pick up some orange juice for me while running errands the other day, and he came home with one of those orange/peach/mango juice mix thingies. I'm obsessed with it now. 3. I'm having the hardest time getting - and keeping - water down. It doesn't matter what kind of additive I put in there (lemons/limes/other fruits, Crystal Light, etc) or what kind of water it is (sparkling or otherwise). Unless I'm also eating at the time, in which case I'm mostly okay. It's a similar situation with drinks like tea or certain gatorades...I think it's maybe because the liquids are so thin or something? I'm fine with milk and juice, though. 4. I have this constant sensation of something being stuck in my throat that I can't clear. Apparently it's a common pregnancy symptom...and the main reason I'm having a hard time getting water down. It only makes my throat feel worse and super gaggy, whereas milk or juice makes me feel a little better. This is frustrating me, because I know that water is the number one thing I need right now! 5. This is also frustrating the nurses at my OB's office, because I already have paper thin veins as it is. It's hard to take blood from somebody when they have tiny veins and can't keep down water to help plump them back up for easier sticking with a needle. 6. Now that I'm no longer working, I've found myself adjusting to my husband's schedule. He works nights and sleeps days, and now so do I (minus the work part). 7. I either eat only a little bit at a time and call it a meal, or I want ALL THE FOOD. There is no in-between. 8. I just bought the last Christmas gift I needed to get. Finally done with all of that. 9. My cat just took a flying leap at my dog and knocked her over and she flipped out and started barking indignantly at him. It was HILARIOUS. 10. I do a lot of ballroom dance, and my most recurrent pregnancy nightmares have all involved dancing. The most recent one involved the two-step, which is the one I struggle with most (I am a failed Texan, y'all). My dance partner was pretty annoyed, and when I woke up, so was I.
3. After having a preterm delivery last time around, I'm struggling with how much to push myself. I don't take our 21 month old twins out much by myself, and I haven't been exercising, etc. So yeah, I just don't how hard to push myself. Maybe I will get active once I hit 30 weeks, right
4. I told my Grandma today that we are expecting her 3rd great-grandchild. She suggested Wisteria as a name because of our May due date. she was kidding.
5. Our daughter was up at 4am with a runny nose. I realized that I'm not ready for the newborn phase again yet!!
6. I only vomited once since last TTT!
7. poopy toddler - I gotta go.
8. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Mama to Three Girls: Twins born March 2014 at 26 weeks due to preterm labor and our 37weeker born May 9th, 2016!
1. Today I got a notification that I received 500 love tits or something like that. Not exactly sure what that is supposed to mean exactly, but I'll take it lol
2. Pregnancy brain is killing me. I am seriously forgetting things that I have already done. Today I went in the kitchen and went to grab something from the dish drainer only to discover that I had already put the dishes up. I totally did not remember that at all!!!!!!!!!! I stood there for a minute trying to recall and had no recollection of it. I also apparently also restocked the guest bathroom with toilet paper and do not remember doing that either. Discovered this as I was going to restock it, but discovered it was already done. Either I'm forgetting stuff like crazy or I have Christmas elves helping me out lol
3. Totally do not have a tree up yet. No room to put one up this year Unfortunately my DH is happy about that b/c he is a Grinch/Scrooge anyway
4. My alltime favorite Christmas album is Amy Grant A Christmas Album. And yet my favorite Christmas song is not on this album lol Go figure.
5. I have a bad habit of pulling hangnails out with tweezers. I enjoy doing it. Not sure why. I don't enjoy the after effects though. Usually involves an infected finger. Been doing this for like at least twenty years though.
6. We have a hole on our porch roof which apparently the leak has started making its way into the house a little bit. A bit too close to electricity for me. After DH finishes the fence we're going to have to call a roofer.
7. I am dreading Christmas this year. Dreading it only b/c of the weather. The weather here in NC has been crazy. It is supposed to be 74 on Christmas day and on Christmas Eve! Christmas is supposed to be cold! This will be the first time in my entire life that I will be wearing shorts on Christmas!!!!!
8. Seems like this pregnancy is going by so slowly. I just want May to get here so I can meet my baby girl!
9. My MIL keeps referring to our little girl by her middle name. That is a big fat NO. She will go by her first name, NOT her middle name.
10. I still have a billion things to do between now and Christmas and here I am bumping.
1. My 6 year old nephew accidentally and innocently told my mom the sex of the baby before she got a chance to open her gender reveal gift. My fault I suppose for telling him he has a boy cousin on the way! 2. I'm getting rather annoyed with people insinuating that I won't be successful with cloth diapering, and telling me that "I don't know what to expect" because I'm a FTM. I'm really confident and optimistic about the whole CD thing and honestly wish people would just bugger off about it. 3. I'm incredibly excited for today to be over because then my Christmas holidays begin
Re: TTT
9) Baby starts kicking like crazy when we watch Supernatural, I think it's a fan
10) My hubby and I are in charge of stockings this year for my family.
10. Hope everyone has a great holiday!!

Baby #3 EDD: 6/18/24
Girl on a Train reminded me so much of Dark Places as well as Gone Girl. I thought I was the only one who dared compare them
Scary that was, but I'm glad you were there so you could act quickly!
@kami09 OMG me too! I just wanted to slap her so many times!
And cant wait for your sex reveal tomorrow!!!!
7. Going to make lots of cookies today
Crazy lady.
I feel the same way about the registry. We did ours yesterday and it was so overwhelming.
DH and I are also not announcing our baby's name until after birth!

@LEMMYRN
2. We found out were having a Baby Boy yesterday!! My husband's first time at an ultrasound and he was so in love!♡
3. Trying to come up with a boys name is really hard for me and I'm not sure why
9. Ahh I love that I can say my son though it's weird in a good way
10. I wish I could feel baby kicks already though I'm glad I got to see him yesterday
I'm hoping the scrub tops will be better. The tops I have now are looking snug, and my options are getting limited.
Glad you liked my description! I tried to paint the picture well cause there is no way anyone is seeing me in those things the way they're fitting now.
I'm so tired.
good luck with your A/S Thursday!

9/15/2015: BFP HCG - 400, 9/17/2015: HCG - 827, 9/21/2015 - HCG 3,327!2.
2. Also a cookie dough eater here
Mama to Three Girls:
Twins born March 2014 at 26 weeks due to preterm labor
and our 37weeker born May 9th, 2016!
No room to put one up this year
