I love Vivienne but not Vivian but my LN is 5 syllables. Typically, I stay away from names with more than 6 or so letters. But I just love Vivienne. Too much, yes?

My first name is 3 syllables and my maiden name is 4 syllables. It was a pain introducing myself for the first time to people, but the most annoying things were I couldn't sign my full name on things (never enough space on forms, drivers licence, etc.) and everyone wanted to shorten my first name even though I prefer the full version to the nickname. Occasionally I'd have a form that my full name didn't fit on, and school attendance sheets cut off part of my name so substitutes always had to guess. I'm now used to signing things with just my first initial and last name, so it's not a too terrible thing. Personally, though, I'd keep the first name to 1-2 syllables if I had a long last name.

I sign with my first initial and last name too. Too many letters.

You are pronouncing it Viviana, right? Not Vivian?
Realistically, as long as the names fit standard character allotment for forms, length doesn't matter.
Nope, pronouncing the same as Vivian.
If you're pronouncing it like Vivian, then you should spell it Vivian. Vivienne is a completely different name.
