Hi guys,
FTM and I'm not really sure about all this baby gear! I would like to get a travel system so I can easily transition baby from the car to the stroller. But it seems that they grow out of these types pretty fast, no? How long should baby be able to use this type of car seat/stroller? And when they grow out of it, what kind of stroller do they need next? Help please! Thanks
Re: What kind/how many stollers does baby need??
The infant carrier snaps in while they're still small enough to fit in it, and then they fit comfortably until they're old enough (and have enough stamina!) to walk on their own. The price point is great, and the wheels are rubber and pretty much glide over everything! It folds down easily and to a decent size, too.
Start with 1 and adjust later as necessary.
Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!
I may sell our Chicco and look into a sit and stand stroller for when #2 arrives.

For a while we had a jogging stroller. It was huge, bulky and hard to steer! It would have been nice if I wanted to off-road or take my baby to the pier, but I never did and never used it when I did.... Skip the jogger unless you LOVE running.

I like that it has the bassinet that can be detached and the baby moved while sleeping and has an optional stand so it can be a full time bassinet. It also includes the click in car seat ... But it's going to be $1,000 when it's said and done (jaw drops lol)
I've got to price out the cost of a bassinet, car seat, and stroller separately and see if I can justify it.

I bought the Vista because you can eventually have two toddlers in the stroller plus one standing in back. I love the fact that you can take the bassinet right out and it is approved for overnight sleeping. Each of the seats are SUPER easy to put in and take out, they recline and they can be front or back facing which is nice.
It was definitely expensive (I got a great deal so I feel less guilty) but I think it will be worth it because this is the only stroller on plan on buying.
@gauge1234 mine did not include the car seat. Where did you find one that did?

We are in suburbia and used the stroller mostly for going from the car into stores and back and for walks around the neighborhood and around the zoo and such. A stroller frame that takes a bucket seat, like the Snap n Go, was the best thing for us when DS was little and then a fancier umbrella stroller that reclines and has taller handles became our go-to when he outgrew the bucket seat. We have a Graco travel system too but almost never used that stroller outside of our neighborhood because it took up too much trunk space in our not-very-large cars.
I have friends who are runners and actually use their joggers for jogging. I have friends who take public transit a lot and have expensive lightweight travel systems that are a must have for that. It all depends on your needs.

The vista looks super customizable... I'm going to keep my eye out for a deal!
