Can barely function at work...please help!

Hello,

I'm 6 weeks 1 day pregnant and morning sickness started hitting me hard last night. I could barely drive my son to school today and go to work. Between the exhaustion and morning sickness I'm not sure how to stay productive at work. I never had morning sickness in my first pregnancy. Any good tips for making it through?

  • have you tried sea bands?

I've had good luck with those.

  • Hi there, what kind of work do you do? We might be able to help a little more if we know what you're up against.

Just in general, my doc has switched up my PNVs, and recommended that I snack all day long. I have also found ginger hard candy or ginger chews help, especially if it strikes suddenly while driving and I can't just eat something.

  • Sea bands were my life saver the first time around! Jolly ranchers helped too oddly enough. Keep little snacks around all the time. Crackers, string cheese, and ginger ale were my go tos

  • I second sea bands! And sweet tarts helped me. MS isn't really preventable, you just have to kind roll with it and figure out what works for you. Like @amandoza23 said gingerale also helped. Experiment with a few things and see what works best for you. Sorry you're having a hard time with it, T&P.

  • @kay8808 Like PPs said, Sea-Bands are a great idea. Here are a few more morning sickness tips that I hope will give you some relief! https://bump.ly/6005BT2x3
  • Anything peppermint (gum, hard candies, essential oils, candles). Also take oyster crackers and let them kinda dissolve on your tounge then eat them. I would also ask your Doctor if you can take Zofran, it did wonders
For me for my first pregnancy!
  • Preggy pops are awesome !

  • Sea bands helped, so did hard candies, carbonated water/lemonade, and constant small snacks.  I also found that starting the day with healthy fats/protein (egg and cheese) was better than breakfasts that were mostly carbs (cereal and milk).  Peppermint tea helped too.

  • Preggy pops, watermelon, and sparkling water have been working well for me. I ordered the preggy pops on Amazon.
