There is an entire set from the Vagina Monologues of people saying what their vaginas would wear. Thanks, op, for recalling my fun theater days in my undergrad!
This reminds me of an embarrassing story I once read on my old BMB.
"I was due later that week for an appointment with the gynecologist when early one morning I received a phone call from his office. I had been rescheduled for 9:30 a.m. that morning. I had just packed everyone off to school and it was 8:45 already. The trip to his office usually took about 35 minutes so I didn't have any time to spare. As most women do, I'm sure, I like to take a little extra effort over hygiene when making such visits, but this time I wasn't going to be able to make the full effort. So I rushed upstairs, threw off my dressing gown, wet the washcloth and gave myself a wash in "that area" in front of the sink, taking extra care to make sure I was presentable. I threw the washcloth in the clothes basket, donned some clothes, hopped in the car, and raced to my appointment. I was in the waiting room only a few minutes when he called me in. Knowing the procedure, as I'm sure you all do, I hopped up on the table, looked over at the other side of the room and pretended I was in Hawaii or some other place a million miles away from there. I was a little surprised when he said "my...we have taken a little extra effort this morning, haven't we?" But I didn't respond. The appointment was over. I heaved a sigh of relief, and went home. The rest of the day went normally-some shopping, cleaning, and the evening meal, etc. At 8:30 that evening, my 14 year old daughter was getting ready to go to a school dance when she called down from the bathroom, "Mom, where's my washcloth?" I called back for her to get another from the cabinet. She called back, "No! I need the one that was here by the sink, it had all my glitter and sparkles in it!!"
I once had a gyn say "You didn't have to shave for me." ...Thanks, but I didn't do it for you, creepy dude.
As for presentation, I think I'll raise the drape with an enthusiastic "ta-daaaaaaaaa!!!!"

My sister is a labor and delivery nurse, so I can only speak for the doctors and nurses at her hospital, but she said they don't really care as long as it's clean, however they do prefer if it's at least kept neat and trimmed. Before she delivered, she was going for regular waxes. She may have been more self conscious though as it was doctors she works on a daily basis who were delivering her baby!

Really? I kind of think they shouldn't express any opinion on this at all!
Considering I may poop on the table, I'm not sure they really care.
I did poop on the table! My nurse and husband didn't even tell me. I smelled it and called them out on it. So...yeah. I did shave however I can't say if I missed any spots.

They don't tell the patients this. My sister just mentioned it to me when she was pregnant and getting waxed all the time toward the end.
ETA: It wasn't about how it looked, it was something about the ease of seeing everything and not getting anything tangled, like it was just a bit easier for them to do their job. It was almost 2 years ago she told me at this point, so I don't remember specifics. I just know I make sure to trim and tidy before each gyno appt now!
@PinkLady2015 yes exactly! I saw this pop Up earlier and it made my day to reread it! I better by some rhinestones this weekend for my appointment on Monday. I might bring my own bedazzled vaginal ultrasound arm

Wait like a "beaded for her pleasure" wand?
Baha! Not what I was intending but that would make those transvaginal ultrasounds way more pleasant!
I can't believe I have never seen this thread until today. I am literally crying from laughter. I will think about this post at every single OB appointment from now on, so thanks for that!

I thought about this when I had my first appt and almost laughed. I'm glad I didn't because really didn't want to have to tell the doc she was tickling me or something. Very awkward.
And because no one is following the rules today, I'm going to bump this old thread.
Because I need a laugh and the last time this came around I could still see my lady bits to groom them. Now I get it. Is anyone planning on some maintenance to their vagina presentation before the big day?
Dying. I should not have read this at work because the ladies of July 16 are far too sassy and hilarious for me to have survived reading this with a straight face. I'll have to come back later.
Rumor has it everything is present and accounted for. Not looking like normal but still hanging in there. I took a little off the top today. Was too afraid to go near any of the important parts. I'm going to get a mirror, the clippers and a razor and take a real hack at things soon. I only want to do it once so I might wait for some real contractions.
I had DH help me around the 36th week and I think that was it for my big grooming session. It's not bothering me like it was so I don't care anymore. I just can't wait to be able to shave myself again! What a thing to wish for...

It's going to get all stretched out by a baby head anyway. A bush will be the last thing the medical staff really sees. I mean if you are scheduled for a c/s that's another story, I guess, but a vaginal delivery, meh.
I do trim with my husband's trimmer when I remember to but not planning on a PRESENTATION--JAZZ HANDS! for delivery
I actually did a blind job down there the night before going into labor. Got a tiny nick, but that's not so bad. Ended up with a c-section for the next day, and was congratulated by the nurse, as she didn't have to do a shave before surgery.

I'm going to trim mine into the shape of a question mark until we find out the sex.
If we must know.. Lol . I keep mine completely shaved the entire time. I don't like the feeling of any hair up against underwear.

I hope this works...
